Matches on the Eddie Guerrero DVD...
DrVenkman PhD replied to brokentusk16's topic in The WWE Folder
Original Thread: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=58405 Also: www.silvervision.co.uk is the best source for WWE DVD info. Just a note that none of the Double PPV DVDs they advertise are coming out in North America, at least at this time. -
It's funny, I told a co-worker about this interview the other day and he was none too thrilled to hear that Petey only credited his gf (who is quite the looker, btw) with supporting his chances at becoming a wrestler.

Some people like house shows.

Both were decent to me. I'm a WWE mark so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt, but I enjoyed both shows. Bad Blood had a prety good comedy match between Eugene and Coach (if you like that sorta thing), a good IC title match between Orton and Benjamin and a realy good match by Kane and Benoit. The HIAC match was way too long and would have been better condensed to 30 minutes, but with the power of Fast Forward is ok. Vengeance is kinda like Round 2 of Bad Blood... a good Eugene comedy match (teaming with Flair, and stealing all his spots, against La Resistance), a good Orton IC title match (and, much like with Benjamin, it's good at the beginning and end with a lot of resting in the middle), and a really good Benoit/HHH title match. Sadly though, Benoit/HHH has the run in finish and all that with Eugene, but otherwise I found it quite good.

A friend of mine's mother recently (2 days ago) returned from Niagra Falls with a Rob Van Dam shirt purchased from WWE Niagra Falls.

Drew: The character battle is a Summer event, and this is year three. Spring 2004 debuted the GameFAQs Best Game Ever battle, which is 100% different!

Roster Update for WWE Day of Reckoning
DrVenkman PhD replied to DangerousDamon's topic in Video Games
Bret Hart = good. I'm surprised no one has complained about Doug and Danny Basham being in the game. Does anyone know if LEgends still have shit for entrances in this game? If I can't hear Beefcake's theme, he's as useless as he is in real life. -
Ok. In the brief time I spent playing that game on someone else's computer in the 90s, I didn't catch the guy's name. Thanks. On a happier note, my entry is perfect so far! hooray!

Excuse my ignorance but who the hell is Guybrush Threepwood?

I'll have to also go with KI3 (and assume that the earlier request for KI2 was a typo). Does Nintendo or Rare have the rights to the licence? I always felt they should make another Mario side-scrolling game, but it seems they are doing that for the Nintendo DS.

Killer Instinct home versions. I loved the arcade game and for some reason assumed THAT would be the game I would be getting when I purchased it for the SNES. No awesome Cinder fire effects, reduced level graphics... same basic game, but all the neat effects I loved from the arcade version were gone. Then the game never came out in any form for the N64, just Killer Instinct Gold (which seems to me was just 2 with a fancy name). I would have much prefered a dual game cartridge. I guess an arcade perfect home version of KI was just not to be. This is where you can all tell me KI sucks anyway... Similarily, before I had my PS1, I once again overestimated the power of the SNES and assumed SFA 2 would be a good game. Wow, that may be the worst SF port I've ever played. Cartridge loading times, slow animation... just awful.

That's kinda what I figured, but that seems like a bit of a radical design change.

At work today I noticed an old (few months) PSM magazine lying around. It was a cover story about the next MK game, but the guy on the cover looked like Super Shredder. Neat stuff if he's a guy in the game.

Actually if I had to have one complaint, it's that at no point did King or JR bother to make a comment about Regal's familiarity with brass knuckles. It's mostly insignificant to the overall segment, but small things like that irk me at times.
-
Quality stuff. It was a great privelage to be on vacation in DC 2 weeks ago and be part of a Regal chant (which I later found out made it to TV). Prior to that, it didn't seems the fans were taking very well to good guy Regal.

Well, the deadline for WON info is Wednesday morning, and today (Friday), Meltz announced on the WO website it would probably be the triple threat match.

Enjoyed the main feature, watched the beginning of matches to see how they messed with the music. A werid practice, but I'm used to it by now. I was planning to watch some of the disc 1 extra matches tonight at a friend's house, but plans have since changed to hang out with more non-fan friends, so that's out. I'll still bring it with me anyway (multiple TVs, the other two people don't totally hate wrestling and at one point were even casual fans, so it's not out of the question completey that it oculd be viewed tonight).

And as I'm about to go grocery shopping, the DVD arrives in the mail! Hooray!

I usually just order them online or cross the border and buy WWE DVDs from a Best Buy in Michigan, but I can see how that isn't an ideal solution for all Canadians.

Man, I got swerved twice in two days. Yesterday there was a knock on the door and a package left in the door, and I thought when I opened the door it would be my DVD... but it was a shirt someone else had ordered. Then today, the same thing happens... for SURE it has to be my DVD. Nope, it's the "WrestleRadio USA" book ECW Press wanted me to review in a column. I want my damn Benoit DVD! (However, skimming the book so far, it's pretty interesting).
-
You could just not watch it with that commentary in the future... Anyway, Amazon's streak of getting me things, even in Canada, within 2 days comes to an end, as today is Day 3 with no DVD. That's acceptable and all since they usually estimate 10 days or more, but I was getting used to that 2 day service.
-
Quite obviously Eugene, duh.

I actually ordered it yesterday, and then received an e-mail 2 hours later saying it shipped.
