And where does this leave Weekend Update? Just Tina? Tina and someone new? Someone new and no Tina? Two new people? I'd like Tina and Parnel, myself. Chris is great.

Hopefully we'll still be able to get the Nick Burns movie. I always figured that character was perfect for a shitty SNL movie... it's a normal guy who's sketches are essentially the same thing with different people (Nick getting upset at people not understanding computers) that would be turned into 90 minutes of us learning about his depressing homelife outside the office.

Holy shit it was Gumby for no reason and now they are talking about the WWE WrestleMania XX DVD set that was crazy haha!!! Thanks. Erm, good work, Hawk.

So that's who Booker T woke up.... and Judgment Day is on Sunday!
-
I guess it could be argued he was involved in the ladies 3 Way at WMXIX... but it does say "had a match".
-
While I guess 38 months is technically "over a year". If Richards has had a PPV match that wasn't some hardcore run-in since WrestleMania 17, I don't remember it.
-
All dissapointment that they didn't stick with the "GTA: Sin City" theme and stick the game in Vegas is now gone. Hooray for multiple cities in one game!

Following the Miss SmartMarks Rules, Godfather should indeed by disqualified as it has already won one of these. OT, did the last Miss SM (III? IV?) ever finish? It seemed to fall apart somewhere without any update around round 3, then I never followed to see if it ended. Back on topic... No real order... 1. Ghostbusters 2. Robocop 3. Christmas Vacation 4. South Park: BLU 5/6: Kill Bill 7/8: LOTR TTT/ROTK 9. Iron Monkey (the one "Presented" by Quinten around 2001 or so). 10. Return of the Living Dead III 11/12/13: BTTF Trilogy 14/15/16: Star Wars Trilogy: Good Version. 17. Short Circuit 2 (guilty pleasure) 18. Forrest Gump 19. Star Trek: First Contact 20. Austin Powers 21. Nightmare on Elm Street 22. Spaceballs 23. Robin Hood: Men in Tights 24. Spider-Man 25/26: X-Men/X2. 27. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 28. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure 29. Shrek 30. Aladdin Of course, all those classic movies everyone else already said 40 times as well.

Best I could do (and I used GIS)

I remember playing NHL 94 (I believe, coulda been 95) for the SNES back in the day. I was playing against my cousin, and he ran into my goalie while carrying the puck, getting himself a 2 minute interferance penalty... but because running into the goalie knocks you over, the puck became loose, and slid into the net. Despite the fact a penalty was called AGAINST him and play had STOPPED, the puck crossing the goal line caused the sirens to go off and give him a point. Stupid coding.

MUGEN, eh? *googling in progress* Oh, "Mugen is a fighting game engine where you can create your own character I mean really creating them ... not just changing the character's clothes or colour ... but defining the attack, the sprite, etc." Understood.
-
I would guess that's Booker's new gimmick. Kind of a play on "The Answer". He'd be an all-knowing voodoo guy. Like Rafiki. Tomko is the Problem Solver.

I always liked the outdoor setting. It's new, big, and in Detroit. If they're thinking of going back to regular arenas instead of big stadiums for WM, it's time for The Joe to hold one. However, to save me the trouble of crossing the border... ... My Dream would be to just hold a Mania in Canada at historic Windsor Arena

Takashi, eh? Wonder if that's anything like Takeshi.

On Byte This, Bradshaw made clear his promo was not directed to wrestling fans, just the "1% or so of the fanbase that uses the internet in their little forums".

Fair enough. As it is, no one told me anything about Sass until the other day. When Dames asked me to write back in April 03, he just mentioned himself, then later you. For the record, I really just didn't feel like writing while working full time and decided to take the "let's blame other people for morale problems" route. Sorry.
-
They also released it here for the GBA last year with the American names (Megaman and Bass).
-
For the record, I stopped writing because I e-mailed Dames and Will several times about new ideas or ripping off / brining back discontinued concepts (re: Crossface) that no one ever bothered to answer. Not that anyone asked (or probably cared), but that whole lack of communication that had been going on since last summer didn't make me feel much in the mood for writing, so I gave it one more shot with a Year End Review / Rumble PPV preview, as I love doing those types of columns, and left the legacy at that. Sorry about the bump of such an old thread, but I felt like ranting.
-
Well that should be awesome.
-
Good stuff. Hey, remember those Booking Report columns from last year that Retro Rob did, where SmackDown always won? HA! Anyway, yeah, when it seemed like HHH had his match next week, I was a bit concerned that they might be making the rumoured HIAC match between HHH and HBK for the title, seeing as how as of right now HHH's WWe Films movie is off and he won't be doing anything until they start filming Conan III. But, it was a swerve, and Benoit can have a nice reign until HHH wins the belt at SummerSlam. And I won't mind, since HHH has been pretty good lately.
-
Technically, yes, he did use those terms, but he did accuratley answer that, indeed, pappajacks cares.

Ok, this is from Meltzer's Monday update: -
A bit of clarification... Sylvain Grenier was discovered by Pat Patterson because he was a male model in Montreal and Patterson is a gay French Canadian (or just French Canadian - zing) who would probably be looking at those sort of people. That's the zenith of their connection, as far as I've read.

My casual fan / markish co-worker is looking forward to the Eugene match more than anything he has in a long time. As it turns out, I am too. I don't understnad calling Tajiri vs Batista a huge match, but the rest of tonight's card sounds great. Tajiri vs Batista I assumed would be a squash, but maybe it won't be. Benjamin vs HHH - Should be good, I look for Benj to become 3-0 after HBK pays HHH back for last week and further set up their Bad Blood match. Orton vs Edge - Edge wins the strap, forming the new and improved Two Man Power Trip with Benoit. Or not, but I think that would be cool (not the TMPT part, but those 2 holding all the belts). Jericho vs. Christian - should be good stuff, hopefully Jericho wins and they move on to new opponents. Although this doesn't make a helluva lot of sense, I could see them having Christian's next feud be over the IC title with Edge (even though he recently declared interest in the World title). Eugene vs Conway - should be interesting.
