That reminds me - why are peanut butter products so rare in Canada compared to the US? Peanut Butter Twix makes a cameo appearance here once every decade for a brief moment, then vanishes. Ditto the M&Ms. They're so good.

My greatest contribution to TSM. I do miss it, but I think the streamlining will work out. In whatever way removing folders is supposed to work, anyway - I still don't know what the answer to that is.

What will be the worst movie of 2009?
DrVenkman PhD replied to Obi Chris Kenobi's topic in Television & Film
How come it has nothing to do with the Dragonball universe? Isn't it going to be the story of Goku and the gang that was told in the Dragonball cartoons? Of course, he does look nothing like kid Goku. I'd prefer a Dragonball Z movie to it as well. I think it's a movie I might end up liking just cause. Like Mortal Kombat. It does have something to do with the Dragonball Universe.. it has the characters and the Dragonballs.. but it just doesn't follow the same plot as the anime. And why would it follow the exact same canon of the anime? When does a live action version of a cartoon, videogame, comic ever follow exact canon? Hardly ever. I still don't understand why people get upset about that. It's movie canon, it's going to be different, get over it. Also, it's called Dragonball: Evolution. I agree. Look at Dark Knight for an example. It is so different from The Long Halloween (the story that inspired it), they don't even bother saying it was based off of it. On the other hand, the Dragonball trailer is so awful it makes it look like an Uwe Boll movie, so I don't exactly have high hopes for it for different reasons. The Dragonball anime won't work in live action without changes. You can't have a little kid getting the crap kicked out of him by grown men, aliens and demons without it being simply disturbing. And that's without the talking animals and dinosaurs. If they make a film that has the Videl / Spopovich fight in it, I'm there. Otherwise, not so much. I am interested to see how Marsters does Piccolo though, but I'll wait until it's on TV next year. -
Public Opinion - The WWE 24/7 Folder
DrVenkman PhD replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in Site Feedback
I'm actually very happy with everything to (as mentioned in the other thread). I think people can adjust, I just wanted to do the correct thing and give people a place for their say. Really though, let's just leave it. I'm more interested in when the new voting for folder sub-titles is coming up. I'm tired of looking at the Food Folder as a place to learn taco related feces. -
Did Tito Santana have some different music after the Strike Force break-up? The 10/89 MSG show sounds like his singles theme is dubbed into the show (and yes I realize I'm asking a question about a show that shouldn't even be on 24/7 right now, but someone might know now).

What crazy things will happen when Edge hosts The Cutting Edge with guest Jeff Hardy?

Am I the only one who remembers the greatness that is FromBeyondtheGrave? Come on! Who? Hottbutter Toasterspoon?

Perhaps I did nominate you! I really can't be sure. A lot of that list ended up being re-tooled for the real deal (I think 3 Kings got nominated).

Tell that to the intensifier.

What's going on here? Posts in this this realm don't count. Welcome to Outworld.

My daily stupidity for today: I went to HMV and bought what I wanted - Edge, Starrcade, and Rumble 08 to complete the set. Except I was trying to speed it up, so I picked up the first DVD that said "Royal Rumble" because the logo looked right. I bought 2007. It was actually Benoit being on the front which tipped me off, then of course I looked at the back and realized I made a dumb move. It's unopened to hopefully they're not bastards about returns, even for store credit.

Kinetic's "One to watch in '09" vote for Marney should be all he needs to win.

Owen vs. Lawler is pretty boring (lots of Lawler stalling) but it picks up at the end. I do remember watching the match as a kid - a memory I think have purely based on Owen's wacky tights. I think my favourite part of the match was when Lawler sticks his hands in his tights, Ross quips, "Who does he think he is, Al Bundy?".

WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion
DrVenkman PhD replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in WWE Multimedia
I'm still getting updates from the future. Weird - even weirder that this didn't happen until today and Unforgiven isn't there (in theory, that would be part of the advanced 21st update I received). -
Public Opinion - The WWE 24/7 Folder

"Back out" was something Enigma said, I guess meaning the link at the top to the 24/7 folder was gone of a thread you'd be reading in WWE. -
Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Hey, I was told that sort of thing was unlookupable. Now you have all my information. -
Plus he stole it from Kawalimus.

I was flipping through the channels yesterday morning and saw NPH playing a fairy on Sesame Street. I think he talked about that on a talk show before, joking about the 'fairy' thing.

Kinetic. I was going to vote for him anyway, but he beat the unstoppable Dr. Venkman and that solidifies things.

Please ignore what may or may not have been written here previously, I somehow thought the removal of votes against the move and the edit tag "you made it multiple choice" meant I gave people more than one option, an option that was against what we were doing. Carry on. -
I'm with Enimga on this, and was going to use the exact same reference point (Jericho / Hassan). I believe they did that match multiple times over the weekend circuit, too.

I enjoyed the episode, but maybe that's because of the long gap between episodes. Jesus, was there a secret writer's strike? Fox Sunday Night's have been in re-run limbo for what seems like at least 5 weeks too. My favourite part (Wallace giving Michael the 'goodbye' handshake, then Michael sitting down to finish his meal) was already mentioned but I did like the cold opening as well. What do you suspect the cause for the Scranton branch doing so well was? Dwight's crusade to woo Angela by selling his ass off? Dwight being happy he secretly got Angela back, and selling his ass off? That's my guess, anyway, and now that it's over that could lead into Scranton hitting a sales slump too.

Geroge gets hit by a toilet seat and dies. There, first episode. They recapped it well enough. I think I've seen MOST of it, though. She goes to a garage sale and gets into a fight with her mom, right? . Another note about the movie is that it was listed as being called "Dead Like Me: Life After Death" but that title appears nowhere in the film. It's just "Dead Like Me".

I want to rock out to "Priceless" and do Million Dollar Legsweeps, Microsoft! Get it together.

Dr. Funkenstein? That was a character my friend Ben created for a movie he (sort of) made in 2003. Is it based off of something else? I will have to alert him to this.
