I think our board savior writes for one of my favorite websites
DrVenkman PhD replied to Mik's topic in No Holds Barred
You know, you SHOULD have got more than 6 votes. -
I approve the way it worked out, though I started a separate poll for WWE 24/7. I voted "own folder" and I like the current set-up. Indys and Overseas probably should have been in General long ago but I had no power to make that call. I want TNA kept OUT of that merger for two reasons. 1. To appease the TNA crowd. 2. To not subject everyone else to TNA conversation. God they're an awful company. I can't even bring myself to put the care or effort into merging spoiler / show threads together, pinning things, generating discussion, etc. that I try with WWE. TNA is in it's own wolrd and so are their fans. That's not to say the above isn't true of WWE fans either, but I like them.

WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion
DrVenkman PhD replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in WWE Multimedia
Check this thread for a poll No guarantee the higher-ups will listen to this (I won't name names but one of them hates sub-folders and this was likely his idea) but it's worth voicing your opinion. I know some will be happy that it's completely disconnected from the WWE Folder, so let's have some public voice. -
What will be the worst movie of 2009?
DrVenkman PhD replied to Obi Chris Kenobi's topic in Television & Film
I thought the movie was called "Google 2012" after seeing the trailer. -
I know... but it's a funny reference. We'll re-evaluate at a later date.

I could be mistaken, but I'm almost certain you WERE in a tournament and complained your way out of it.

I'd never actually seen the first episode, heh.

I don't live in Toronto.

TSM Talks (to the voices in their head): The Legacy
DrVenkman PhD replied to Promoter's topic in The WWE Folder
Just an FYI I moved several posts about DH Smith, Manu, and Sim Snuka from General Discussion to here. -
But I so enjoyed being asked about "my fillings".

Put me in the "I have no idea what Marvin posted a picture of" club. The list of Nestle products sure undersells them - they seem to have a bigger name in Canada. Perhaps it's the Aero and Coffee Crisp we enjoy up here. I once had a job - well to be more accurate, my mom had the job and I helped since it was the summer and school was out - working for some group called "Actmedia" where they sent you on point of sale checks / re-arrangements to all the Mac's convenience marts. I only did this twice - once for Pepsi (which was checking "Pepsi Stuff" standees and signs, and also standing in a very cold freezer seeing what flavours were in stock) and other was for Nestle, peeling off stickers for their nickel candy, putting up new ones, and moving the boxes around. I didn't really like that one. Hershey's makes good chocolate but there is nothing spectacular about it. I also despise the fact that bags of miniatures come with dark chocolate, and a lot of it (ONE piece is too many). I did enjoy getting a Nutrageous whenever I was in the US as those don't exist here, just the very similar but not similar enough "Fast Break". Mars wins though - M&M's are great while Snickers and Mars bars are terrific. That's really all they need to win.

TSM (sort of, but not that well) Remembers: Crash Holly

Damn, Page 2 (on a 50 posts per page setting) was pretty brutal for both VX and I. It was KIND of close before the end of Page 1 for my round, but currently it's Kinetic: 26 Venkman: 19. Maybe my wrestling folder brethren aren't reading my signature. VX's is still much closer - Agent: 24 VX: 21.

I randomly caught Douglas "Nostalgia Critic" Walker doing a commercial for the PBS series "Make Em Laugh". That was quite the thing... seeing PBS air a commercial for a show (this aired on a Fox affiliate). Maybe James Rolfe can do GameStop commercials (if such a thing existed - I can't say I've seen one in recent years).

That's the price it was on Amazon too. I usually find HMV a bit pricey for wrestling DVDs but sometimes it's on par with everything else. I wish MusicWorld didn't go out of business, or at the very least was replaced with HMV at the mall closer to my house. The 'big mall' with the HMV is not always a convenient trip. I was actually hoping to use $40 worth of Bluckbuster GCs to get it, but apparently sometime between the last time I had been in the store (which has been quite awhile) they once again phased wrestling out. I blame Blu-Ray for this (the new-to-me BR section took up the rack wrestling and anime used to be on).

I think we need to talk about Kinetic for a minute. When Kinetic posts, he does the work of three men: Larry, Curly, and Moe. He doesn't know the meaning of the word fear, but then again there are a lot of words he doesn't know the meaning of. And if there's one word to sum up all of Kinetic's success, it's lucky. Please understand that info was gathered from a survey of 100 TSMers, that's not me talking.

I watched the movie on TV on the 1st, it's ok. New Daisy is hard to adjust to, but it's fine. .

I'll give you that since it's not factually correct, unless you're like Jamie from Charles in Charge when she asked Charles to speak at her school "next Friday" and meant "this Friday", causing all sorts of havoc.

Just to clarify about Slaughter, it sounds as if he had been with the company solidly since 1990, not 1997. He wasn't on TV from 1992 (his "referee enforcer" angle) to 1997, but he worked backstage. He was supposed to have a job for life for going through with the Iraqi Sympathizer deal (or so says today's WON). WON also confirms the Mickie "Jay" Henson story, saying Mickey Henson, Mike Posey and Kevin Keenan were cut as refs.

Amazon.ca can't seem to find a copy of Starrcade to ship (they said the shipping estimate is now January 28th) and Amazon.com has these "Import Fees" that I don't like (plus the US exchange not being parity anymore makes .ca the cheaper option). I guess I'll go look around for it.

I have manic depressive/bipolar disorder type 2.
DrVenkman PhD replied to Matt Young's topic in General Chat
I've often considered letting internet strangers who I've never met in real life into what really goes on inside my head and what a mental case I think I've become over the past few years (or maybe even since I was a kid), but then I worry people would think differently about me and perhaps not vote for me in the 2009 Poster of the Year Tournament. Then again, that sort of thing seems to have worked out well for others. In seriousness, in this day and age, my paranoia and other such issues are probably more 'normal' than ever before and nothing worth writing TSM about.
