DECLASSIFIED: Changes made by Leelee and Xavier
DrVenkman PhD replied to Xavier Cromartie's topic in Brandon Truitt
It's possible I just don't know how to do any of this, but things I thought the other non-admin mods could do - ban people, change their name, change the names of folders all seem to be things I can't do. I'm not looking to ban anyone or anything, but right now it seems my controls are almost unchanged. -
I did, but I'm leaving it with Jingus now.

No no, I like the concept of this Smues (you have me confused with Cheech), but I don't like 100 page threads. It just doesn't seem this gets enough traffic to justify a move to monthly break-ups. That's why I want to do something but probably won't. Even the Movie/TV one is questionable now.

I want to do something about this thread. We'll see though.

DECLASSIFIED: Changes made by Leelee and Xavier
DrVenkman PhD replied to Xavier Cromartie's topic in Brandon Truitt
They're a necessary evil as sometimes people really do want to declare, "Hey, did anyone catch Neil Patrick Harris as a Shoe Fairy on Sesame Street? Crazy!" but that really, really does not warrant a thread. The month to month break down in the WWE Folder seem to work, though this usually requires me to pay attention to split threads (which I've been told I'm good at). I don't even think the March WWE Thread will hit 300 posts! -
FYI, I am pushing for the no name change thing. (Maybe).

This is done in April. I'm going to try the route we use in the wrestling folders.

This is all in the name of good boarding, right? I won't come back tomorrow and find a big fish eye or something. -
For ongoing discussion of the house shows featured in Big Ones. We either don't talk about them at all, briefly mention them in the schedule / random banter thread, or start a thread that gets 2 replies. Screw it, we're doing an Old School mega thread. I mark out in a nostalgic way for shows from Maple Leaf Gardens with ol Billy Red Lyons. When I started watching wrestling back in 1991 he hosted the live event news on the Canadian version of the weekend syndies on CHCH, always telling us "Don't ya dare miss it!". I thought I saw this show on 24/7 before because I recall the Andre/Kamala main event being shown, but as I don't recall "Brett" Hart vs Paul BUTCHER Vachon~!, I think the Andre/Kamala match was a Shortie of some sort. Edit: It was a different Andre/Kamala Maple Leaf Gardens match - a month after this show, they had a cage match. This is not a cage match.

You guys are so impatient!

That, NPH dancing around as a fairy... I don't remember The Street being this weird when I was a kid.

This fella in a yellow "Bob Backlund For WWF World Champ" sure enjoyed going to the Manhattan Center for Raw based on this string of 1993 Raw's I've been watching On Legacy.

WWE General Discussion - March 2009

In a positive light I assume. -
Thanks - I wasn't sure if it was like playing Rock/Paper/Scissors or if there was an actual light-up prompt.

Does a game that can be beaten 100 percent in a day need costume codes? I have no idea what you mean when you say things like this. How do you "beat" an exhibition wrestling game? Anyway, much like most wrestling games I buy, I just bought this because I'm a mark for wrestling and it's playable enough to have fun doing crazy things. I had Koko win the IC title from Rick Rude at WrestleMania X! So far what's bothering me the most are the various gameplay elements that aren't explained in the instructions so I just learn as I go. What is the "Offender / Defender" prompt? What's a Vengeance meter? Why is it when I go for the Doomsday Device, I just fall backwards? Otherwise, I'm having a blast. It's not great and it could certainly be better, but it was designed to be nostalgic fun and that's about what it is. I think the kayfabe explanation for the SVR guys looking the way they do is they were CGI'd into the past via special effects like Forrest Gump, but without ILM's budget.

Yeah, either Crash or Dean (I don't recall when he lost the belt to Crash). X-Pac wasn't LHW champ until he beat Jeff Hardy in the summer. A quick review of the title history shows Crash won it a few weeks prior to the show.

WWE SmackDown - March 27, 2009
DrVenkman PhD replied to Angles Broken Fricken Neck's topic in The WWE Folder
Here's the only thing from WWE.com's preview you need to know: There's also a crazy 8 man tag like there was on Raw, but the teams are shuffled up a bit - Punk/Kofi/MVP/Henry vs. Christian/Finlay/Benjamin/Kane. -
Getting Black Lushus started on how horrible the GI Joe flick is turni

Mole can feel free to rename this later to a proper thread. People seem to know things about the Joe film - discuss here (with tags)! -
Does anyone know a person that owns a working Jaguar CD? The latest AVGN implies they've all become self-aware of their suckage and stopped working.

2. This is what I was referring to when I made the comment about how the photos on WWE.com made the current roster look out of place. You had this bright, cartoony legend fighting a pale looking, realistically rendered Randy Orton. 3. This might be a programming issue. I read somewhere that the "Two Jericho" issue in SVR was considered a glitch in the PS3 DLC, and the 360 DLC was allegedly held to fix glitches. Well, it's out now and guess what? Jericho's new attire is considered a different wrestler that doesn't hold the same titles as the other Jericho, yet it's programmed in a way you can't mirror match or make a Double Jericho tag-team stable.

LOD 2000, Sunny is their manager, Owen is still a face before joining the Nation.
