I "cheated" and did a quick search - it looks like Marty doesn't wrestle until January 12 / 98, going up against "Black Cat". His match on the 19th was with Benoit, so that's out. Then he's not on again until March against Chris Jericho.

The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread
DrVenkman PhD replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in WWE Multimedia
I'm not going to hold my breath on that due to the holidays. I'll set Friday as the earliest and Monday as the latest for a target - if it shows up earlier, great. I was browsing http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=66 to see if anyone else was complaining about 24/7 problems with Cogeco, but the only time it's mentioned is by me and in a 2006 thread where people are talking about the channel debuting. There's some bitching about content in a 2005 thread in the Rogers Cable section too. -
The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread
DrVenkman PhD replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in WWE Multimedia
I believe around August or so I did make that threat via e-mail and was actually called 45 minutes later by someone in customer service. From my limited understanding of the On Demand system, I too would guess that without someone working (off on holiday) to manually upload programming, the programs not being automatically uploaded at 12am (all of them) like the technology intends are in limbo. -
This is the kind of booking I don't care for. They build up a challenger, give him his title shot on free TV, he loses clean, and the next week he's losing a sqaush match.

The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread

Bah, I was lured into a false sense of security by Cogeco being awesome with on-time updates the past 2-3 weeks. The PYBO showing up on time instead of a Wednesday / not at all, daily Goldberg updates... but on Sunday, when the HHH/Goldberg match never arrived, I suspected there might be problems today. No updates at all yet. -
So that was the debt of Kizarny, eh? I wish the report indicated if he had wacky circus music or what kind of finisher he used. I'm not surprised it was boring, though.

WWE General Discussion - December 2008
DrVenkman PhD replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
I have no interest in starting a thread for a show I don't watch until Saturday morning on a Tuesday. The last time I did, it got SIX replies, so I figured whoever watches ECW can just start one. It had a 2 page thread the following week. Weird. So yeah, it's pretty hit or miss - if Chris or Downhome start one, it has one, but if they don't, oh well. -
theone is really bringing a lot to this thread. Terrific he is not.

Just curious, at what point is it considered in good (or at least not incredibly terrible) taste to make a GTG thread "Guys, I think Marley is dead" and post a picture of the Marley and Me poster? I had zero interaction with Marney but it's never cool when a community member dies young.

DCH?

I thought "2008" would sound outdated.

Notes from the latest Retro Observer: I would have liked to seen that. Any clue who this is? That's a shame.

No, that's the top of the board.

Was bob_barron consulted about the change to "Television & Film"?

Should I make my nominations public to try and rally mutual support from people, or should I just tell everyone "hey I nominated you!" and not leave anyone looking at me with a grudge? Decisions, decisions.

theone strikes me as someone who came here thinking it was 2005 or so. I could be wrong, but it seems like the day of a WWE Folder existing just so people can crap on every single thing WWE does is dead - things such as arguing whether Cena is over or not (a stupid argument but it seems to happen every few months) occur, but things like "OMG we'll get an awful women's match on Raw tonight, amirite? Cena iz GHEY!" are long since passe. This is why the TNA folder has so little traffic - going there just to say "this is awful" every single post proves nothing, so only people with an actual interest and willingness to enjoy the product make serious contributions there. The rest of TSM that doesn't like wrestling anymore (or those who apparently found us through non-wrestling means and never liked it all) don't come here just to bash things. Again, maybe because I try to be optimistic about things, that's just my personal view on how things SHOULD work taking over what actually happens here. There's nothing wrong with saying something sucks, especially if it does, but that's where discussion and points for argument can be used.

This Raw was too damn long. I stuck it out as long as I could before I had to leave for work, ended up missing my bus anyway, which means I had to pay for a cab AND not see the ending of Raw anyway. Seemed like a good "dramatic" story though. Please don't tell me this thread is 5 pages due to 2 pages of theone arguing with people...

I'd like to believe the former too, but he refer to me as TSM's most overrated poster in mid 2008.

Note to no one in particular but possibly Enigma but for the sake of not making a big deal, no one in particular is who this is officially for: This is not "my job". This is a free volunteer gig for an internet message board full of sarcastic posters who live to antagonize. Yeah, some normal, "serious" discussion in the WWE folder is nice and it's definitely not something that would be discouraged, but at the end of the day, it's pro fucking wrestling. The Board~! is way worse than us when it comes to this shit, but yeah, you post something about The Wrestler a week after it was posted in the thread about The Wrestler - even though it's two different threads in two different areas of the board - you're going to be late slipped. Welcome to the internet in 2009, my friends. If you're not familiar with how it works these days, I'm sure you can find some heavily enforced rules and regulations forum that makes people censor their cursing. If this is too much for you to handle, and you need to send me PMs because someone is derailing a thread by making fun of you, then kindly fuck off, die, burn in the depths of Hell, and have no one attend your funeral. That said, let's try to not derail threads just to take potshots at people. At least not as many.

Do you ever read your old posts and just DIEEE?
DrVenkman PhD replied to Dark Age's topic in No Holds Barred
I just found all of my archived columns on 411mania that I wrote in 2002/2003. I dread re-reading these, but I cannot look away. -
On that note, how can you tarnish the name of someone who once booked for WCW and still books now? The first name that comes to mind has done a great name tarnishing his own name. Now, Jimmy Hart is a guy that booked WCW and is a nice guy, but does he actively book today to be able to match that description?

WWE General Discussion - December 2008
DrVenkman PhD replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
I checked the Sunday WO/F4W update and saw nothing about Maryse. However, you win some points by thinking someone with the real name Noah Fentz existed. And there was at least one very prominent Noah working for WCW. -

theone: Stop being awful and cite your sources (not so much the Sunny/Bulldog thing which is just you being a tard, but the above DH Smith / Maryse injury stories). Whenever someone lists their interest in wrestling as "knowing a higher up in WCW in 2001", it's time to consider whether this is a person TSM needs. -
Is there any way to ignore list or block people on here?
DrVenkman PhD replied to theone's topic in Site Feedback
This thread reinforces why I'm strongly backing Mattdotcom and mellow in the upcoming POTY tournament. I also originally read the thread title as "Is there any way to ignore list black people on here?", so way to be racist theone. Edit: Didn't even realize that was already mentioned in GTG as a parody title. -
Edit: I think I was mistaken about that. How odd.
