Admittedly, this made me laugh, but what's the point of publishing such vulgar and unconstructive PPV feedback?

Re: bob's complaining. In the 6 year history of the POTY, it should be noted that the first two tournaments were held in the SAME CALENDAR YEAR - May and September 2003, neither of which are March. Also remember that Marvin beat Czech in round 1 of the first tourney as a footnote of how things can change in a short period of time. POTY III - May POTY IV - March POTY 2007 - March POTY 2008 - January So it's been held in May as many times as it's been held in March, and now that statement holds true for January. Here's another fun bit of trivia: College basketball sucks. Unless that's a votebreaker for me, than bring on the unpaid athletes doing something that takes funding away from academia! Woo!

The HOF Lawler piece and accompanying matches could provide some good fun. I was happy that a show I've ever actually seen in full (KOTR 97) is being shown, but then I realized I have Austin vs. Shawn on DVD, making the whole excercise a bit pointless. Still, 3 PPVs instead of 2 (not counting the PYBO), that's cool of them. Wonder what house shows are going to fit the theme. I doubt they have the 1991 KOTR houseshow on tape... but if they did, that would be a nice surprise. Shorties could be fun too. -
I think (POTY) this needs to be re-advertised in a dedicated thread. It was by chance I even read this.

"I smell a bit of gay around here" I thought for sure that would catch on to be TSMeme of 2008. It didn't. -
Again, from F4W: Vickie and Edge open things up. Edge b Kung Fu Naki with a spear Vickie & Edge announce tonight's theme is HHH & Jeff Hardyas a team have to run the gauntlet Maria b Michelle McCool Big backstage celebration for Maria's win. McCool attacks Maria again backstage (If everyone is celebrating, does that mean Maria won the belt, or is this a pointless Lex Luger at SummerSlam 93 celebration?) MVP complains that his ring entrance has been pared down, bad music, no more pyro Hurricane Helms b MVP with the shining wizard HHH & Jeff Hardy b Hawkins & Ryder when HHH used a pedigree on Hawkins but Hardy tagged in and stole his pin Miz & Morrison b HHH & Jeff Hardy when the team self destructed and started fighting each other while Edge and Vickie laugh about it Matt Hardy b Chavo Guerrero via DQ when Kozlov attacked Matt and laid him out Main event segment is Khali as Santa Claus doing the Kiss Cam, and it ends up with Khali kissing Eve, dressed as a Santa's helper Dark match Undertaker b Big Show in a cage match with the gogoplata ---- Hooray, Helms is finally back in the ring! Hopefully Hawkins and Ryder are associates of Edge again, they're kind of pointless otherwise.

Oh is it 2006 again? -
I watched the Real Ghostbusters episode "X-Mas Marks The Spot" yesterday. Good stuff.

Your reference was Mr. Burns stomping a model town. Mine was Comic Book Guy gloating about Springfield being 299 on a list of 300. Totally different! -

At this rate, Sunflower will tell us the January schedule before WWE.com even previews it. -
You have to hold whatever button the PS3 controller uses as the strong grapple / alternate running attack button before you use the D-pad.

It's very touching when Fred shares his Fruity Pebbles with Barney at the end. "Happy Holidays, pal" indeed.

I enjoy the masked demons that parade down the street to noisily keep winter at bay... Seriously Germany, wtf?

WWE Raw - December 8, 2008: The Return of the Slammys

I wonder if for the IC title tournament, the semi's will be done in hour 1 and the finals in hour 3 (or something along those lines). A PPV quality Punk vs. Rey match would be great, and I guess it would make the tournament itself even more prestigious to have the finals on PPV, but that would all be moot if the IC title match took place on Raw or 6 weeks later at the Royal Rumble. -
Yeah, he openly discussed it all in an interview on Off The Record (at least in my memory). I guess what I meant was, I don't know if it was public knowledge when the 10/26/97 Raw aired, but it definitely was by this episode.

WWE Raw - December 8, 2008: The Return of the Slammys

I'm looking forward to the show (as I tend to with 3 hours Raws - I don't want them every week, but specials can be fun) but people seemed to be really excited about this. I'm not going to set the bar so high that I'll be let down, but just with what's been announced already, it should be fine. Extra bonus for me - I don't have to go work after Raw this Monday, so hooray. I also suspect Jim Haas to win best impersonation because it was universally hated, so WWE needs to tell us it was great. -
It was something along the lines of "Stu's dead, his brain just doesn't know it yet". He said it while doing commentary with HHH and generally goofing on the Hart family.
-
Nitro (which features Fit Finlay's awesome Irish Road Warrior look) mentions the nWo's big surprise (which I believe is everyone standing in the ring with Canadian flags) for next week and Raw has Ross mention that this will be the last time we'll ever see HBK vs. Bret, so while I did forget the exact time line of the whole Bret business becoming public, it quite obviously was out by this Raw. I suspect that played a part in Bret being at home.

Well I assume enough people who are correct about things update it on a second to second to basis to catch things like that, ya know? What am I supposed to do, get my TV news from the Futon Critic? I can't read about the Atari Jaguar on that site.

Well someone better tell wikipedia that. "The series is scheduled to premiere after Super Bowl XLIII along with a new episode of The Office." "Starring Aziz Ansari Amy Poehler Rashida Jones"
-
Office II?

Speaking of TSM and popularity, when you finish reading this post, think of something incredibly funny that will cause you to have a fit of laughter. Then associate that with the fact I caused it. Keep this in the back of your mind for Tournament Voting season. Take that, forums.eaststlouis.com! -
Then I was right, you sure do. Nothing wrong with that.
-
Sure you do. I remember a friend of mine was showing me all the US marketplace content, but if he tried to download something it realized he had an IP incompatible with being in the US. Getting demos from a Japanese account worked fine though.

You can make up as many fake accounts with incorrect countries as you want, but you probably don't want to pay to make them Gold.
