I'm just kidding... I need four. Will Michael yelling at Toby never not be funny? "You're a silent killer".

I wonder if we'll ever find out the fate of The Real Larry Braverman.

Discussion: The Miz and John Morrison

Destroyer is just being jealous. -
Yeah, I figure. I just meant it wasn't necessarily something that needed to be plotted into the show.
-
I think it was really Ahmed Johnson vs. Steve Austin, but the world just wasn't ready for that. Kane saved us all.

Julie Louis-Dreyfus was pregnant during Seinfeld and that never mattered (though once "Notes About Nothing" and various commentaries pointed it out, it became easy to see every scene she was in involved her carrying something in front of her or standing behind something).

I'm pretty sure the picture of the store on wikipedia actually has a bum in it.

Because Short Circuit 2 is awesome.

I will say I enjoyed the Raw episode - the wrestling wasn't good at all but that's basically what we're going to be dealing with for the next 100 episodes or so, so might as well get used to enjoying the shows from a nostalgic point of view. That said, I was greatly disappointed with Bret sitting this one out. I was all set to possibly recap this for F4W as a historic "Bret Hart's last Raw", not realizing his actual last Raw was the visual tapout loss to Ken Shamrock the week before. I thought the pacing was a bit off too (but that might have been due to the time constraint issues Vince and JR brought up) with I believe 3 non-wrestling segments in a row followed by short matches. Thing I enjoyed: - Super "Crazy" Loco blowing two spots in a rather big way. It was an ok match outside of that, but a lot of flips with no substance. I also was excited about the prospect of eventually seeing Jerry Lynn as a one-shot jobber, but I was 99% sure he was never actually in the tournament. Some quick research revealed he gets replaced by Scott Taylor. I also like that Aguila used what would become Steve Blackman's first theme. Speaking of... - Steve Blackman! Crazed fan from the stands! - JR constantly mentioning that Goldust raped Marlena (of her dignity). - DX antics. - I kid you not, I laughed for a solid 40-60 seconds when Tito Santana spun around and morphed into El Matador for the Karate Fighters tournament.

WWF Survivor Series 1991 & This Tuesday In Texas

I actually got mad at Jake for slapping Liz (mostly because it looks like a short punch). Getting heat 17 years later! And I knew it was coming too! -
I brought up Laura Diakun because I think it's great that women that look like 16 year old high school students can be on-air presenters for a sports network. No misogyny here, The Pit!

I don't know anything about Ron Barker. Now that I have an address I'm not that interested. I also was totally not paying attention to the fact Twisted asked for a link and received one.

I thought they finished that studio two months ago. They host a morning show in it with windows and everything. I think CM Punk was at a "HD Studio Opening Party". What's the name of your band?
-
It's basically my way of saying - hint hint - someone tell me the link. No one seems to have figured that out yet. No one tells me to turn sigs on just to I can grab a link.
-
But it had those cool spinning lights. I'm going to go to The Score and give Laura Diakun a piece of my mind.

I was disappointed to read an article about how a lot of the sights of Short Circuit 2 no longer appear the way they did in 1988. The whole purpose of my trip to Toronto was to Johnny 5 it up under the guise of visiting friends. At least the bookstore is still there.

I'll be in Toronto a week from Friday for a signing at The World's Biggest Bookstore.

EHME is in Calgary.

WWF Survivor Series 1991 & This Tuesday In Texas
DrVenkman PhD replied to KingPK's topic in WWE Multimedia
Seeing the This Tuesday in Texas Roberts/Savage angle unfold in it's entirety (instead of just the match, or the clips of the past match angle they showed on Superstars / SNME build-up / wherever I saw them) with all of the promos surrounding it was amazing. Hell of a job by everyone involved in that one. Thankfully my menu (currently) has the show labelled as "Tuesday in Texas" instead of "WWE This Tuesday in Texas" as it sits above my still messed up GAB listings. I can't wait for that show to expire next week (though sadly, the MSG show I can't access will go with it). -
I like how the Shorties that aren't part of the 8 Nights of Goldberg celebration are re-airings from 2006, complete with Jolly St. Mick Foley.

Bob jews it up in New York City, stalking celebrities for photos.

Completely unhelpful to people who have this turned off.

Poor Double J got bumped to Superstars. "If we had our own network time constraints wouldn't matter!". Ha! It was funny because at first I missed the obvious dig at the fact Nitro has been anywhere from 2.25 to 2.5 hours for several weeks now because and airs on TNT and laughed at it for being a somewhat ironic comment that now, in 2008, I'm actually watching the show on WWE's own network that they plan on using to to air first run TV if network deals ever fall apart.

I thought this was going to be about Carrie Underwood or the chick that sang about Tim McGraw. No buys.
