At several points, I had the nerds in mind, but they're not great individual picks. A lot of times I would think of someone well before my pick - Akira, Surly, Luigi, Database, etc, but then go with someone else. Leonard Nimoy was actually on my "for sure pick on the next turn" at one point, but I think Bender and Ron Howard getting drafted screwed me up.

The reason I finally got around to seeing the movies was because of AVP:R. When it premiered on "Super Channel" here, they did an Predator / Aliens marathon (on their HD channel to boot) so I just DVR'd the whole thing. I would almost say I enjoyed Resurrection over 3, solely because of Ron Perlman's performance. I read somewhere (probably wikipedia) that Ridley Scott consider the original AVP the 3rd best movie in the series.

I've actually forgotten almost all of the McGraw show except for Jeff Montgomery. I like that Andy Samberg bad rapper character too.

Bizarre.. I haven't checked mine yet.. I just see "SmackPizza" a lot. Do they segment the real ads based on where the game is sold, or perhaps the PS3's region settings? I assume if you go online (at least in the 360 version) or maybe are just connected to Xbox Live while playing, the ads show up. They obviously are regional (Kodoo and Future Shop being Canadian stores). I also noticed now the "V" in my HVM ads is flipped over to be a Christmas tree AND I have Punisher ads! I like the Punisher banners.

Canada, and my number SHOULD be in the thread (I know I've received JaMii Noble and such from Spiff). No games that already exist on a collection I own (Mega Man, Sega Genesis Collection). Edit: Ditto for Sonic collection, so my non-list is pretty much the same as Thoth's. Exactly the same, really. Though, I guess if Mega Man 2 is the American NES version and not the automatic "Hard Mode" version found on the MM Collection, it's a different game. Not different enough though.

I liked the giant banner for MOVIE STAR VINCENT CHASE with tv star Johnny Chase.

I believe Rock once got himself either counted out or DQ'd in a triple threat match on Raw against X-Pac and HHH. I don't remember exact details but I guess one could point to that as being the origin story for the triple threat having no DQs or count outs - the referee did not know who to declare the winner.

I like how the plots of Alien Cubed and Alien Resurrection both exist to say "the ending you invested your movie going experience in for the previous movie is worth jack shit". I realize I'm several years late to the party on that one, but I just watched these films for the first time over the weekend.

No lie, as soon as I saw they were using blue ropes I said to myself "zio is going to complain about the rope colour". The blue matched the logo and those electric ghosts they were using in the match graphics, so it made sense (though I see you were aware of that and just don't like blue). They really need to come up with a "PPV colour" though. I like SNME White/Silver myself. I also guarantee we are the only two people who care about this.

I read the show was bad enough to make a fan of 22 years quit watching WWE forever. I'm not sure what show he watched though, since there have been worse WWE PPVs in the last 2 months (looking at you, Unforgiven). I ordered the show for the two non-Diva elimination matches and the title bouts, and I was happy with those, so good enough for me. Maybe I was being too forgiving, but HHH/Kozlov seemed no better or worse than HHH vs. Not that great opponent. Maybe people were spoiled on the Hardy matches? I know especially with Meltzer, he can give or remove upwards of **1/2 just based on crowd reactions, and obviously people were pissed off and the match was never given a chance. WWE brought that upon themselves though.

I was going to start a "Yo! TSM Raps" thread about Survivor Series but I thought of that the same day this thread occurred. I don't think next week is very timely.

If WWE worked Jim Ross, Tazz, Eve, HHH, Kozlov, etc. to think Jeff was really clubbed in the head in his hotel and left in the stairwell, then yes, it's as bad as a TNA work. Since I doubt that happened, it's better than a Vince Russo TNA work. Slightly.
