Apparently it is but I have no idea who "Johnson" is. Rocky? My co-worker? The guy Mr. Wick always fired? I know of JJ Johnson.

WWE General Discussion-November 2008
DrVenkman PhD replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
He said he was going to beat you up for being a homosexual. Technically I just saved him from being arrested for a hate crime. You have to read the post with a stereotypical black voice, then read the italics as a stuffy white guy to get the full comedy effect. -
What is the topic at hand anyways? Slurpees? I thought Slurpees and the fact bob_barron has yet to live a full life by enjoying one were the topic at hand in the dead friend thread? Seriously though, no slurpees OR DVD players? I'm not what makes bob more of a weirdo - the fact he's a celebrity stalker, obsessed with Disney Channel shows, or that. Good guy though. And who doesn't love the antics of London Tipton?
-
Back to the topic at hand, are we going to get an apology for this debacle (KRF) or do I need to name names?

I thought I heard Judgment Day was going to be in Toronto. I guess not. Funny that the RKO/DX Survivors match just got put up in the WWE.com Legacy section. -
My mistake, he didn't add bob (or Mik, for that matter). But still, fuck off. On a side note, can you post something - anything - in one of the wrestling folders Grungy?
-
Grungy Punk can fuck off for adding everyone with power as his friend BUT NOT ME. Even someone with fake power got added as his friend.

DrVenkman PhD replied to Banter's topic in Brandon Truitt
I'm in a hurry so I haven't read anything above, but I swear to God if there's more than one god damned post about this Enigma/Banter "OMG YOU POSTED SOMETHING OLD" "OMG YOU'RE ENIMGA!" shit after Banter apologized, mass bannings* for all. *or something else. -
That is awesome.

The CEO of Stride Gum was a character during the Hogan Family / Sandy Duncan years. I also recall Jason Bateman's character once telling someone "I'm Batman!". That ends my memories of that show.
-
I don't understand most of that, but this is what wikipedia said when I typed in Captain Oats. "Captain Lawrence Edward Grace Oates (17 March 1880 – 16 March 1912[1]) was an English Antarctic explorer. He was often referred to by the nickname "Titus Oates" after the historical figure." I like how SFIIHD describes Street Fighter as 'the original MMA game' or something along those lines.

In a way, I'm glad I'm not able to get a streaming Netflix dealy in Canada. I enjoy collecting DVD boxsets of shows I enjoy and I also pay a stupid amount of money per month for two premium movie channels which air movies several months after their DVD release date. That would be silly if I could just instantly watch whatever I want.

I like how I managed to catch my avatar making a funny face with a raised eyebrow when I took the gamer photo.

"Matt Young's Smug Facial Expression" sounds like a Czech handle.

Just go to your friend's list on the new main menu screen, Captain Oates. It shows their avatar standing next to giant robots and Xbox logos and such.

Don't get me wrong, I'd gladly watch the show again if it came in a box set (get on it, WWE) and I hardly think it was as awful as bobby says it is, but... meh. -
The Garbo line is the best of the episode! Epic fail for LOTC.

WWF Survivor Series 1991 & This Tuesday In Texas
DrVenkman PhD replied to KingPK's topic in WWE Multimedia
I am a fan of the match but there certainly could have been more eliminations. I agree with you that historically it is a bit odd to see Bulldog fall and Virgil stand strong, but in context this was the biggest push of Virgil's career. Flair didn't care for Hogan. That's about it, really. This is made worse when during one of the "let's talk about This Tuesday in Texas!" segments as no one seems to have clued Monsoon in about his error and he STILL thinks Shawn walked off. As a kid that was pretty new to watching wrestling, this is how I recall it all going down. They did the El Diablo/Roberts attacking Sid angle, then announced Sid was injured. They also had Roberts do the cobra thing with Savage. I forget exactly what they were saying on commentary, but you really got the impression Savage had to be reinstated to get at Jake. It was not to be, though, as Tunney just announced on Superstars (as seen at the beginning of this show) that Roberts was off the show and it would be 3 on 3. -

I will be in 2 hours. This was some failed riff at Matt Young (and his misspelling of 'Oates'). -
Did someone lend the WWE Video Department the Roddy Piper music video from their personal VHS collection? It does not appear to appear to have the same slick remastered quality as everything else to ever air on the channel. Pretty wacky, though. Any video that has a large black woman walking down the street just so she can randomly yell "EV-RE-BOD-EH HERE COMES TOO COLD SCORPIO!" is a winner.

Well it's been there since 2007, I know that. I just didn't realize it was in the bargin bin.

Heh. Speaking of the Market Place, is UMK3 a recent "Arcade Hits" 400 point game? I don't recall seeing it there before. I also noticed the Protoman expansion for MM9 is available. One thing I wish they would do is just add a caption somewhere indicating what the XBLA release date of a title was. With the old menu, if I didn't check week by week, I often had to depend on wikipedia to tell me what was new because the "New Arrivals" menu would feature games from 3 weeks ago. The new menu seems to list them in release order, though, so that's good.

I always got a kick out of HBK pinning Knox in about 5 seconds and then asking who was that. I was actually hoping that during the opening segment on Raw, Shawn would look at Knox say "who's that guy?". The match was amusing, but on paper it could have been so much more. -
