Not enough Halloween based antics for a show that airs ON Halloween. No buys.

Zing~!

Yeah, he made a winning aquisition by wooing q2q33q over to the board.

I remember that now! Great stuff. In the early 00's I used to see a commercial for phone reconnection where a man dressed as a superhero pitched the idea to cut off customers. The best part of his costume as his Winged Eagle era WWE Title. No "Black People in Commercials" thread is complete without this:

On a similar note, I noticed "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" is now just called "I Still Know What You Did" on my digital guide.

Shit, this was going to be my suggestion. All I have left is Rembrandt Q. Einstein and Hercules Rockafeller (which I suggest anytime someone asks for handle suggestions).

Batista winning is bad because he beat Jericho and is a big pumped up idiot who can't work. If CM Punk beat Jericho for the belt it would have been the greatest PPV of all time.

Your mother.

Did that message board angle ever go anywhere? What a debacle.

As for the show itself, I thought it was pretty good. All of the (real) matches had moderately clean endings (I suppose you could argue - and Jericho probably will en route to his Mania XXV match with Austin - that Stone Cold cost Jericho his match, but it was really a clean Batista bomb) and were all good. Too early to take the belt of Jericho but the push they keep giving Dave really did necessitate him winning it more sooner than later. Striker either went into business for himself or the "no more Superstar" edict is already dead (or perhaps never existed). He kept calling Bourne and Hardy athletes AND Superstars (though he did settle on entertainers at least once). I was expecting to be hammered with entertainer references tonight but so far so good and not going overboard.

Huh, I had remembered it being older. Not sure why.

Anonymous people on the internet shouldn't need to defend their opinions.

I liked how the market for Saw V implied it was a franchise finale yet there's a TV show on about casting females for Saw VI. Ah, horror franchises.

I didn't think the business model of making every show count and put out on DVD was a good business model, but I guess it worked for awhile. I basically had to stop following it closely just as quickly as I started once I realized this (and yes, I'm aware of there are alternative methods of watching these shows without buying a DVD, but that's not my thing). I had a blast at the Steelcage Warfare show in December 2005 in NYC though!

Discussion: Bluring / Removing "WWF" and scratch logos from
DrVenkman PhD replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
"Superstars of Wrestling" as a trademark belongs to someone else. I don't recall who. It's the reason the show was changed to just "Superstars" by 1992 or so. -
On live shows, you don't know anything for sure until the 3 count. Undertaker/Edge was an awesome match at Mania XXIV and I really bought into some of Edge's nearfalls even though it was pretty obvious Taker would win. And don't forget about how HHH was "obvioulsy" going to beat Cena at Mania 22, then again at Mania XXIV. Things change.

I don't see why it would effect any of the Hart matches on that DVD, but they do have to blur the "Superstars of Wrestling" banners for trademark reasons. -
Scream (the horror network in Canada) was showing Nightmare 4, 5, and 6 the other day (I guess showing the good ones - 1 and 3 - was not an option, but they were running New Nightmare a lot). Odd note about the digital guide description for "Freddy's Dead" - it actually lists the title as NOES 6 and notes in the synopsis "Formerly known as Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare". I didn't realize it was FORMERLY known as that. Perhaps I should be on the look out for New Nightmare being called "NOES 7 - Formerly known as New Nightmare".

I got nothing, but I did enjoy this wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Stumpp I particularly like how his execution was done in a manner that was sure to keep him from "returning from the grave".

All this talk of US Smarties, Rockets, Candy Corn and Wafers sounds like a 2008 rerun of "Bad Candy". It's fun stuff though, so carry on. Worst Halloween Candy: Bible verses, Unicef pennies, and raisens.

Tito Santana was a guy I was never very interested in watching. I briefly got into the whole El Matador deal, but quickly realized he was still going to lose against any real opponent and therefore didn't really like his matches. Actually, I think El Matador made Tito MORE interesting to me - whenever I rented tapes that had the "old" Tito on them, I didn't care at all. Now I LOVE seeing his old matches on 24/7.

There seems to be some debate on that. Bryan Alvarez always says "Tonky", but I've been hearing it as Donkey since week 1 of the Honk-A-Meter. I've seen crowd signs that agree with the "Donkey" train of thought. Alvarez also had what seemed like a 10 minute argument with Vinny over whether or not his notes were wrong or they called Jack Swagger "Jake" in his first ECW appearance, plus he always says "Night of THE Champions", so I take both of those into account when calling him wrong.

I'm getting a much faster computer in a few weeks. I'm hoping this solves some of the slowdown issues I have with the videos (they seem to run fine on a brand new laptop on the same internet connection but I don't find that terribly convenient).

I believe you mean Rodney the Piper, Goldendust, and the Honky Donkey Man.

Does he pimp any excercise equipment in it?
