    Lance Cade gets future endeavor'd

It was a seizure induced by a "major league mistake".

    Is it just me or...

The gamertag "TSMsDrVenkman" would be pretty silly if there was no TSM.

Let's plug it at some Paul London fansites.

Go for it. Czech's post was one big TL, DR. Good, because it was the buzzkill of the year. At least I had the decency to lie in the very dead Raw thread and claim I accidentally deleted a bunch of posts just to make it seem like everything was a-ok.

WWE General Discussion - October 2008

I did notice that, but as I am in a non-US part of the world, I thought it would affect me. Apparently it did not. I didn't look at it very closely but it seems this whole "text to vote" thing is the 2008 edition of writing in "Get Well Matilda / Hogan / Whoever" way of getting your address for a catalogue. Now it's used for singing you up for WWE Mobile if you don't pay attention and cancel (again, I didn't read it closely - I just noticed this and that about a $3.49 a month charge that would occur after voting).

God, yes. Worst TSMem ever. Because of bps participating in so many of them, his sig is fucking big now. I keep hearing about people's sigs being too big our outdated and I feel great about having no idea what anyone is talking about. Using TSM at work and being forced to turn all images off may have been the best decision I was ever forced to make.

I do notice in the middle of the night that it's very slow, but it seems fine during the day. Not 2003 or 2004 booming or anything, but fine. We have a similar issue on the IRC channel I chat in - when it's active, it's great, but it often goes hours without anyone typing a word. It's often just me and World's Worst Man talking to each other about random stuff until someone else speaks up. It was much busier years ago.

They've been in NES instruction books since the 80s. I've yet too see some one OD off weed, I've tried to do this everyday for about 10 years, so I'm kind of an expert. Marijuana is also a non-strike fine. Why did this even come up as being the same?

    Monday Night Wars

This is exactly what I meant by saying how sad it was in hindsight. The whole business is about sticking up for the boys and that sort of thing, and you can tell Cornette was really hurt and offended that the death of a friend would be used by a columnist who seemingly takes joy in bashing wrestling and wrestling fans as the impetus for a Congressional Hearing. It was an effective rant though - I had never heard of Phil Mushnick but I was sure I hated him forever after it (and Sam and Irv too, just for almost having the same last name).

It's possible he's epileptic and was playing a video game without reading the warnings at the front of the instruction book.

WWE General Discussion - October 2008

JR's blog mentions that online voting has been reinstated for Cyber Sunday. This is news to me. My cable company is also listing the standard definition version of the PPV as being $34.99. I expect that to change.

    WWE Raw - October 13, 2008

JR doesn't specify what he's talking about here, but the title of his blog entry has "Knoxville" in it and he's not mentioned anywhere else... Edit: Eh, his name DOES appear later on.

Yes. I believe he didn't have a clue who anyone was which led to some problems, plus OVW was just a disaster once Cornette was gone.

The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread

I was happy to receive everything by 10am this morning except Boggs/Perfect, but no loss there since I have it on DVD. Things are back on track!

    The SHOWDOWN at SHEA

This is, by far, the funniest commentary track I have ever heard. "Rene Goulet going to sleep like many of the 36,000 fans in attendance".

    The SHOWDOWN at SHEA

It's possible - I was basing it on the match order listed on wikipedia and the fact the show started with Jose Estrada vs. Angel Marvilla. The order I assumed is already wrong as the tag title match airs before Hogan/Andre. Random note: apparently if you preface it "The old", you can say "WWF" to your hearts content. Edit: Fixed. Indeed, Greg Gagne vs. Rick McGraw is the only cut.

    The SHOWDOWN at SHEA

I'll correct this if it's wrong, but based on the first 3 matches and what's been advertised as being shown, this is the 24/7 version of the card: Un-aired: Greg Gagne vs. Rick McGraw 24/7 Aired Version: 1. Jose Estrada vs. Angel Marvilla 2. Dominic DeNucci vs. Baron Mikel Scicluna 3. World Wrestling Federation Junior Heavyweight Championship: Tatsumi Fujinami © vs. Chavo Guerrero. 4. World Wrestling Federation World Martial Arts Championship: Antonio Inoki © vs. Larry Sharpe. 5. World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship - Best 2 out of 3 Falls: The Wild Samoans Afa and Sika © vs. World Wrestling Federation Champion Bob Backlund and Pedro Morales. 6. Pat Patterson vs. Tor Kamata 7. World Women's Champion The Fabulous Moolah and Beverly Shade vs. Kandi Malloy and Peggy Lee 8. Wolrd Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship: Ken Patera © vs. Tony Atlas 9. Ivan Putski vs. Johnny Rodz 10. The Hangman vs. Rene Goulet 11. Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant 12. Steel Cage Match: Bruno Sammartino vs. Larry Zbyszko

    Monday Night Wars

The October 13th Nitro has a segment where Debra confirms rumours that Jarrett left WCW. Mongo calls him a quitter but Debra promises a surprise for him at Halloween Havoc. Is there where the Goldberg/McMichael feud started? Edit: Guess not.

    Primetime Disscussion Thread

Wow, it really is like Survivor Series never happened - right into Slammys hype. How bizarre (great, now I have that song in my head). Apparently Jake Roberts has returned to the WWF from his "Oriental tour". Ok then. Wasn't he at Survivor Series? The video package on Brutus Beefcake where he cuts some hair, spraypaints jobbers, and then shows them a mirror causing them to comedically freak out was entertaining. I like this Don Muraco promo where he calls out Butch Reed as Bruce Reed, "what your mommy and daddy named ya".

    Monday Night Wars

Oh yeah, this episode also has the infamous "Stu is dead" comment. When I saw the scene in Wrestling with Shadows where Bret is informed of the comment, I could never remember any promo where Shawn declared Stu to be dead, so it's nice to be able to piece it all together.
