A sprint is not a third as long, and about ten times as physically grueling as a marathon. So I just think it's a poor analogy is all. But who cares? If you want certain things in baseball, fine. I prefer football, a guy like Al *maybe* *probably* would prefer a sport like baseball. I'm sure we use different standards for what we want in an "exciting team sport". That being said, I'm actually glad hockey's gone, because it doesn't clog up my sports coverage. In America you complain about it not getting enough coverage, in Canada I see it waaaay too much. Even now, they cover a league that's not even around way too much, and it is generally one of the top stories every night. WHY?

How can you compare a football season to a sprint? I know you're talking about the schedule, but due to how intense the game is and how long they must feel, it's much more of a marathon. A four month season should NOT be referred to as a sprint.

I think they both still have a chance, and Sanchez is actually the odds-on favourite at this point, with Koscheck (Mini Kerr) being exposed and especially with Quarry being hurt, who I think is his only competition on the show. We all know who the big favourite is for LHW, and that's Sam Hoger... Damnit, where's that Forrest No gif?

I read that on SD too, and it throws a wrench in the potential spoiler. It's like reading that spoiler cancels out the one we heard before about who the mystery fighter is. The guy who you think is being fucked over is a well known competitive No-Gi Jiu Jitsu guy. I've seen him on sub grappling comps and the like before I even watched this one. He has a shot definitely. I'd just love to see the aftermath if he does pull it off, or even if he doesn't. Of course, this spoiler could be fake.

Yeah but there a lot of times in baseball when eight players on both teams aren't involved. Hell, every play starts out as a direct competition between two people. In hockey and basketball there are many plays when not everyone is involved. In football, whether you're watching them or not, at least on every play they are actually making a play. No one ever does nothing.

Disagree with him politically, but he's hilarious. I saw his stand-up special on HBO a few years back and almost died laughing. See, I don't get this, he is way more offensive towards conservatives than Maher could ever hope to be, and more unamerican, at least by what you view as unamerican. If you were offended by all those things Maher said, this guy referred to 9/11 as "The week football stopped" and talked about the smell of the dead bodies upsetting him, totally trivialising the situation. Football is my favourite team sport because it is the most varied. You really can't have an offensive lineman be a quarterback, or a quarterback be a wide receiver, etc. It's the most team sport in the sense that the different positions are really different and everyone has different jobs to do. Success is the cohesion of those jobs working together. The line blocks for the QB who throws a pass down the middle of the field towards his open man, the WR. So much goes in orchestrating this all out, and there is a lot of strategy in a football game. So much organization in just getting all of this to happen. Now combine that with the fact that the other team moves at 100 mph and tries to come up with schemes to stop you, and that makes things better. But this is a stupid topic. There's no absolute choice. Some of us find different things exciting.

They admitted to doing Jake for crack, so nothing would really be *beneath* them. I'm surprised at the huge reaction over this whole situation. This stuff is commonplace, although the only difference is that it involves a coworker.
