The Pixies. For the most part to resounding success. But I was kinda disheartened when I told one dude and he was like "They sound like a fag band. The Pixies, what kind of name is that?!" He then went to listen to his shitty Doors music and that was that. He actually tried to convince they were good and said he'd be willing to burn me a compilation. I promptly told him to fuck off. Like I said though, success for the most part. It helps when 95% of the people you know are so narrow-minded when it comes to music that REM or even U2 would be a revelation and a step up. Popcorn and salsa. That's the fucking shit.

Did I not explain well enough that it does mean something? It's the inital wear-down to set up for the big moves later on. And besides, why does *everything* have to mean something in wrestling? Can't they just be wrestling? I dunno, I just hate the logic that if it doesn't lead right into the finish, it's pointless. It doesn't have to work into the finish, but factor it into the story. There are so many different ways that you can use it, and it wasn't used at all yesterday, much like every other WWF match. Like someone else said, WWF doesn't care about the story which gives us much wasted potential. They will always be the WWF to me.

Again, missing the point; not saying not to do mat wrestling, but if you're going to do it make it mean something. They can have the greatest exchange ever and if they don't build on it it doesn't mean shit. Unfortunately, 99.9% of all WWF matches start off that way which is the problem.

With the right selling mat wrestling the beginning could be used correctly. Also from a story telling standpoint it could be sort of like a feeling out process. For the most part I say I agree with you. Most of the guys in the indy circuit do it to be fancy. That aggravates me, but if you watch an American Dragon match or Chris Daniels match practically all of it comes back in the later part of the match. Oh I know it can be useful, I'm just saying that these days it's mostly style over substance, which is pretty ass backwards. It's wasted, and pointless, and is just used as filler. Like I said, I haven't watched wrestling regularly in ages, let alone felt the motivation to go out and watch some indies stuff.

Thing is, finishers aren't credible anymore due to all the "SURPRISE I KICKED OUT" endings. Angle's ankle lock is very lame, and is only a finisher when he's fighting someone SIGNIFICANTLY lower on the card than he. In other words, it works maybe ten percent of the time with guys at the main event level. The mat wrestling thing is annoying, because instead of giving a great match they'll just wrestle on the mat for five minutes at the beginning and people will be like OMG GREAT MATCH THEYRE GOING OLD SCHOOL~!

Those ratings are way too high..... ....is what I said BEFORE I clicked the link. I realise that he REALLY loves the WWE style, aka what 95% of the roster which explains why he likes the show so much. Think logically; is the ME quite possibly the best match ever? That's what ***** indicates.

There's an obvious double standard here; white people that complain about reverse discrimination will not acknowledge racism that goes the other way unless it's ridiculously obvious, yet to find a base for most of their reverse discrimination claims they'll go overboard and exaggerate. Never mind the fact that he's ACTUALLY given money and donated to various charities. Yeah, he's a REAL danger to children. I don't care what he's done in the past, the fact of the matter he's never been arrested as far as I can tell, and he is most likely a law abiding citizen at this point.

Examples of racism? Does comparing the Koran to Mein Kampf count? Oreilly makes an excellent point. The issue is was a school FORCING the kids as part of the MANDATORY curriculum to read the Koran to "better understand the enemy", Bill rightfully pointed out how ridiculous it is to FORCE them to read it, and compared it to forcing kids to read Mein Kampf during WWII to "understand our enemy". He proved to be right, and the school made it optional reading. Just because you don't like Bill stop taking things he says out of context to make him look bad... I'm not surprised that no one was offended by the fact that a book was read to "better understand the enemy", that being Muslims. That's not right, although for some reason I don't think that many would agree with me on these here boards.

Yeah twice. Anyways, I was being sarcastic with the street brawler comments, hoping to convince you of how ridiculous you sounded. Didn't work. I could provide examples of guys who've trained in an actual area of fighting beating the crap out of some street thug, but I suppose image means a lot more then I thought. I'll say this; naturally, a guy who got into a lot of street fights would beat up a guy with minimal training. But I know that when you're at the top of the line in your sport/martial art (wrestling *is* a martial art, believed by most to be the very first or "root", but I digress), he can handle himself. Here's one that you all know of; Chris Jericho is a lot smaller and apparently weaker than Goldberg, but he knew how to handle himself. He used technique to overcome brute strength. Not the best example, but the one you're probably most familiar with. Skill wins out people.

Pro wrestling? I guess you're right, any 300 lb'er could probably take out Kurt Angle. As size means everything. Forget about being AN OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALLIST! Wrestling moves WOULD work. The only chance TBS would have against most people is holding them and taking them down. Kurt Angle is probably stronger than him too. He's a LEGITIMATE athlete. TBS has breasts. Oh God what's the point? You probably think Shaquille O' Neal could take out Kurt Angle in a "FUCKING FIGHT", since wrestling doesn't matter and all. It's all useless when you're facing EXPERIENCED STREET BRAWLERS.

They'd take Show down, and since he is clueless as to how to fight off of his back, he'd GnP him into submission. You're all assuming that this would be a traditional wrestling match. It wouldn't, because TBS would have to KNOW how to wrestle in order to start one up. They'd murder him no doubt in my mind. Weight factor means nothing if you don't know how to fight, and highly doubt that TBS' punch is all that strong. Ron Simmons probably could wipe the floor with him. He's a legit badass.

Brock Lesnar would probably destroy him as well, and Ron Simmons could probably do it too. Hell, half the roster probably could if only due to the fact that The Big Show is not exactly a physical specimen. It's insane to think that an olympic Gold medallist couldn't take on TBS just because of the size difference. All he'd have to do is work the GnP, which would finish him off. Doesn't have to be that versatile, so he wouldn't have to pull an armbar, since he probably ain't that proficient in Brazilian Ji-- Sorry, wrong folder. The only discussion I can get involved in the Wrestling folder involves real fighting. Go figure.

Talk about exaggeration. No one will become a rapper because Ludacris is one, people need to stop taking artists so seriously. They may like him, but it stops there. My Grade Ten business teacher said the same thing, regarding the regrets of our generation running the world (this was two years a go by the way). She went on a rant, talking about how we'd be better off six feet under or something like that. She then proceeded to tell us that she was going to a "cop meeting" so she could know what we were and were not allowed to do, and that we should all be careful. That had something to do with the fact that right before she was writing something on the board only to be pelted with skittles, and when she expected someone to step we abrupted into laughter. Her bad feelings might have to do with the fact that we made her cry, no, bawl. Twice. Next day she acted like nothing happened either. Last day of school she gave me some card thanking me for being in her class or some shit, I wouldn't know since I threw it in the trash on the way out. What does that have to do with this thread? I don't know, but I'm gonna get all OMG RACIZT like everyone else in CE and point out a trend about these kids killing themselves and doing insanely stupid things........
