Damn it, figured I might get Larionov.
-
Prospal going back to Tampa Bay
-
This is basically me going through Norris winners and seeing who's left so: Doug Wilson, D 237 goals 590 assists 827 points Norris Trophy winner, 1982
-
I won't lie and say I know a lot about my next pick but it sounds like he was underappreciated (I guess playing with Doug Harvey will do that). He was also the reason Harvey didn't win seven consecutive Norris Trophies: Tom Johnson, D 51 goals 213 assists 264 points Six Stanley Cup championships Norris Trophy winner, 1959 Hall of Fame inductee, 1970

I probably missed something but did the order get fucked again? CG picked before 909, UndertakerHart and me.
-
Surprised Nabokov didn't win the Vezina but everything else went as it should. I saw that John Madden got more votes for the Selke than Zetterberg which is also a little surprising to me.
-
Wrong thread.
-
God fucking damn it I was hoping Zata would fall to me. It might be early but considering how high some current players went (and homerism aside) I think it's a good pick.
-
Hasek's probably in the top five all time for goaltending and his contributions to the Wings will always be appreciated but it was time to move on. Osgood is obviously going to see an increased workload and hopefully Jimmy Howard gets some solid backup time to develop his game.
-
Pierre Turgeon, C 515 goals 812 assists 1327 points Four time all star Lady Byng Trophy winner, 1993
-
Wow, totally lost track of the order. So what happens do I get a pity pick or something?
-
Time to start my second line Glenn Anderson 498 goals 601 assists 1099 points Six Stanley Cup championships Four time all star
-
Man, this is so fucking awesome. Hank was already my favorite current Wings player but this post-season somehow made me like him even more. And how about Darren McCarty, coming back and getting his fourth Cup. This is unreal.
-
20 minutes, gents. No more stupid fucking penalties and you've probably got it.
-
That's the start Detroit needed. Keep it up, boys.
-
Don't worry. Trent's leading us back to the promised land
-
Well might as well get someone behind the bench to coach: Dick Irvin, coach 692 regular season wins 100 playoff wins Four Stanley Cup championships
-
What's the point. 40 motherfucking seconds away from your dream coming true and you fuck it up. I can't take much more of this fucking shit. Where is the goddamn killer instinct on this team already.
-
Time to fill out my top d-line and while pretty much every choice I wanted was taken, this guy will do: Phil Housley, D 338 goals 894 assists 1232 points Second all time in scoring among American born players Second all time in games played among American born players Olympic silver medalist, 2002
-
I really hope Marshawn wans't behind the wheel
-
That's one of the guys I was thinking of taking. Nice pick.
-
One more game gentlemen. Zetterberg really deserves the Conn Smythe as his fantastic defensive play on that 5 on 3 sealed the win. One more win to erase the disappointments of the past.
-
I wanted to use this pick to set my top line and it was another tough choice but anyway: Brendan Shanahan, LW 650 goals 690 assists 1340 points Three time Stanley Cup winner Olympic gold medalist, 2002 King Clancy Trophy winner, 2003
-
This was a tough pick. I was going for a center here and I had three guys that were viable candidates and I don't even know if this is the best one but his play in the 1980's and PPG were hard to ignore: Peter Stastny, C 450 goals 789 assists 1239 points Calder Trophy winner, 1981 Six time all star First European trained player to record 1000 points Hall of Fame inductee, 1998 Also my team name will be Gordie's Gang. And as far as getting everyone together to knock out some picks I'm good pretty much anytime the Wings are not playing.

McCarty has taken too many penalties and his play has been decent at best. I appreciate what he's brought in certain games but the next game is too important and they can't afford to be giving Pittsburgh any extra advantages nor can they afford mistakes (and he's made quite a few). I'm not saying Abdelkader would be that much of an improvement but he looked solid in the brief time he played late in the season. His speed and grit would be a definite asset.
