Zetterberg is God

Another great game by Detroit. Zetterberg is putting his name into Conn Smythe consideration and Osgood is right there as well. It's not even close right now so the Wings should close it out Wednesday.

His affinity for smoking seems kind of stupid as well. I've also heard rumors that he likes to play the "do you know who I am" card when trying to pick up women. Ever been to Tantra, the night club? Anyway one night I was there with a couple of buddies of mine, and we saw a lot of people there who we all went to High School with. Anyway there is this one spanish girl who I went to school with who was apart of the group of us that night, she is farely good looking... I would say about 7.5/10, but I never really looked at her anything more then a friend. Anyway Dion Phanuef and Darren McCarthey made an apparence at the club, and Dion Phanuef being mr. "Mack Daddy Pimp", decided to take it upon himself to hit on our friend. What he basically said was "Hey come to my house and come hang out", and she kindly rejected him, because she had a boyfriend who was in Portugal at the time. He then degraded her and called her a skank, and that "a stupid cunt like her wasn't deserving of a superstar like me"... Anyway when she told me what he said, me and a few of my friends decided to confront him and ask what his deal is... But little did I know that my friend(the lady) had her older brother there with all his friends, and he obivously took more offense to it then we did. We asked Phanuef what his deal was, and he just told us to get the fuck out of here, and he can do whatever he wants because he makes more money in one day then we do in a paycheck. So the older brother went after Phanuef and punched him(although Phanuef wasnt really hurt by the punch) the bouncers jumped in front of Phanuef and McCarthey, and had to escort them out of the club... Or else they would've got hurt big time. And the funny thing is as he was getting escorted by the bouncers, he was still talking shit while he was behind the bouncers. Like I said though, I respect him as player and I'm glad he plays for Calgary... But he's a douchebag. Plus he looks like Beavis from Beavis and Butthead. I've heard he also likes to frequent the Den, as one of my friends has seen him there on more than one occasion. I'm sure his game goes over a lot better with drunken college chicks.

Good game by the Wings but agreed that they are taking too many penalties. As far as the Ribeiro thing, I could see a suspension but he'll probably walk. In any event he's made little to no difference in this series so whatever.

Great start to the series for the Wings. Fatigue or not, Dallas was dominated in pretty much every category. It's good to see the secondary scoring still there and the Mule potting another one was great.

And Mike Komisarek for that matter.

Timonen out for the rest of the playoffs

Just got a ticket for Pacquiao-Diaz. It'll be my first live fight and Pacquiao's one of my favorite fighters so it should be fun.

Yeah you're probably right. I didn't even look at the rest of the schedule for that day. Having fewer pros is probably not a bad thing though for my slim chances. Thanks for wishing me luck because I'm realistic enough to know it's going to take quite a bit of it to cash, let alone win. And if you ever get chance to play it's well worth it even if you don't cash/win. The atmosphere and the chance to play against the best make it totally worthwhile.

Prelim. Last year was a limit hold'em event and I finished in the middle of the pack (about 450's out of 900). I had David Chiu at my table and he was a wrecking machine. This year I'm doing a prelim H.O.R.S.E. tourney so that should be fun as I expect a lot more pros will play because of the variety of games. I wish I could afford to play in the Main Event.

It's been a long while since I've been this confident about the Wings in the playoffs. Franzen is just ridiculous right now and they're getting contributions from everyone. I have a good feeling that this could be a championship year. Half way home boys, just keep it up.

Going to Vegas at the end of June to play in the World Series again, which will be my fourth Vegas trip in the past two years. I stayed at a friend's condo the first time, then Stratosphere and Imperial Palace the last two. I'm staying at TI this time and hopefully I can do better in the Series this year.

Babcock, Boudreau and Carbonneau nominated for coach of the year. I'm very surprised and obviously pleased to see Babcock get a nom. He's definitely deserving but I figured he had no chance with the high number of possible candidates this year.

A win was obviously nice to see considering how game three has gone in recent times (with the notable exception of that thrashing of Anaheim last year). Hopefully they can close it out on Thursday.

Iginla, Malkin and Ovechkin nominated for Hart Trophy I'm a little disapointed that Lidstrom didn't get a nomination. Either way it's going to Ovechkin but it would have been nice to see anyway.

You're absolutely right. I have a bad habit of doing that (counting teams out). It just seems though that the media this year are going out of their way to say Detroit is vulnerable to an upset and I haven't seen why yet. Nashville might have won only one game (or maybe none) had Osgood been in the entire time and Colorado so far is not fairing much better. If the Wings can get a split it's pretty much done.

I know there's still plenty of series left (and I really shouldn't talk this way with so much time left), but people in the media that were picking Colorado (i.e. Mike Milbury and Darren Pang) are looking like fucking idiots. The Avs would be insane to start Theodore in game three.

I was pretty sure Zetterberg was going to get a nomination but to see Datsyuk get one as well is awesome. Either one is deserving but I'd give the edge to Zetterberg.

That was a lot closer than it needed to be but it's good that they can win games like that. Also good was pretty much destroying whatever confidence Theodore had.

I couldn't believe that when I heard about it. They mentioned that it may incite the fans (which is sorely needed in Detroit). No fucking shit. Nothing was wrong with it the previous seventeen years so it's an absolute crock.

Please San Jose don't choke. Also, I can't imagine how pissed off Kiprusoff must be at getting pulled for the second time in this series.
