Zetterberg is God

Great episode this week. CCH Pounder deserves another Emmy nod as her work this season has once again been fantastic, maybe even better that last year. The Jimmy Johnson guest spot was great though SI gave away that it was happening. This season already has the makings of being one of the best yet.

It's going to take a supreme effort and quite a bit of luck for Canada to beat Russia tomorrow.

Canada hangs on for the 3-2 win. If not for Brodeur, they would have lost. The play in the second and third was pretty poor but a win is a win and despite the flaws, I'm sure they'll take it.

Pretty dominant period even if Vokoun is playing like crap, though the Czechs are still applying pressure.

LOL at the US losing. Seriously, there's just something so satisfying about them going down after all their criticism of Canada. Anything can still happen, but this pretty much locks up gold for the women now.

Walt Goggins and Kenny Johnson were doing an interview on the NFL Network today and they basically said that the season 5 finale is the best episode they've ever done, so here's hoping that it lives up to the hype. Anyway I'm enjoying this season quite a bit. The final scene of the last ep was scary in its intensity.

She's dating the drummer, so that would be Fabrizio Moretti.

I thought Mularkey was a decent enough coach and I also thought he would have stuck around for a couple of more years at least. Hopefully the Bills can pick up Jim Haslett. I think he would be a good fit and he has history with the franchise.

I marked hard for that. Anyway, good episode and it's great that a Canadian station picked it up to save me the task of finding a decent torrent, which was tough last night. Good to see that several interesting storylines have already developed (the father of Danny's baby, IAD's investigation, Vic's impending retirement/quiting).

For me- 3 1 2 4 Season three holds a special place for me since it's the first season I watched during its initial airing and it's also the one that got my friends hooked on the show as well.

I doubt that any channel in Canada will pick it up until well past the end of its initial airing on FX and even then it's a crapshoot. I've been downloading it since season three since I refuse to wait that long and I suggest that all Canadian fans do the same. Anyway, I have high hopes for this season and if it is going to be the last, hopefully the rumor that it will be 21 episodes is true.

If only the Bills could have played this consistent all year. The D was solid for the most part against a tough offensive team and the O scored points when needed. McGee and Holcomb both had great games and it makes me wonder what might have been if this was the effort put forth the entire season.

Actually it comes out on Monday so it's one less day to wait.

Words can't even describe my disappointment at the Bills' effort today. How you can go from a dominating performance to giving up 21 straight points to lose is beyond me. I'm not looking forward to watching a month of meaningless games, that's for sure.

Hockey: I went to Habs games at both the Forum and Bell Centre and had great times. I've also been to a few Flames games (in support of the Red Wings). One of them was a play-off game in 2004 and you haven't lived until you've been pelted with garbage for supporting your team. It got so bad that the ushers had to step in. Despite all that, the atmosphere was incredible and it still ranks as the loudest crowd I've ever heard. Football: I've attended both Stamps and Als games and the Als have the best crowd and game experience in the CFL bar none. While vacationing in Toronto, I saw the NFL American Bowl between the Bills and Packers in Skydome and that was pretty cool. Baseball: Went to a few Expos games when I lived in Montreal. The games were fine but Olympic Stadium was a terrible place for baseball. All in all I'd say I love going to live sporting events and do so whenever time and money permits.

I went to the game in support of the Wings (my favorite team) and they got their asses kicked tonight. Good game overall despite the end result. Leagace played great but got no offensive support.

To say I'm stunned is an understatement. Eddie was always one of the top five workers and performers in any company he was in and to lose him so soon is a blow. RIP Eddie, you will be greatly missed.

I am pretty upset right now. Christ, I should have expected nothing less but the first three quarters were owned by the Bills. That call was absolute BS but it didn't cost them the game, the fumble did. I suppose I should be somewhat pleased with the effort but still. It was erased by another shit finish. With the Chiefs and Chargers still to come, the frustration will no doubt continue.

I'm hoping that the Bills can at least make it respectable. A win wouldn't be out of the question but it's a long shot. If they can finally tighten up against the run and play better third down defence (which has been brutal thus far), it could be close.

Bills played pretty good again this week but it's only going to get tougher. They could probably beat the Raiders (especially if Moss is out) but after that they get New England, Kansas City and San Diego. It's going to be difficult to beat those teams but if they keep up the solid running game and play quality defense, they could make it interesting.

Hopefully Holcomb and the defence can keep it up this week. Another divisional win would be huge.
