At one of the Calgary shows this year, they did just that. It was awesome. It was only like the third time ever that Dyers Eve was played in its entirety.

Being a pretty big Expos fan and living in Montreal at the time, that strike killed baseball dead in the city. At the time, the team was on fire and setting team attendance records. The entire city was behind the team, and with reason, because we honestly thought they had a chance to win it all because of the talent on that team. It's always depressing to think back to that time and what could have been. A new ballpark would most likely have been built with playoff success. And to boot, three World Series wins in a row by the two Canadian franchises.

I'd say definetly. What's also great is that on the Gamecast for the X-Box version, you can watch a replay of anything that happened in the game.

And you both lose, since this is a sports story and there is already a thread about it here. -
No new Sopranos for two years minimum

While I'm disapointed about the wait, I'm also happy that they're thinking about making more than 10 episodes. A 10 episode season just isn't enough to conclude the series. -
Metallica: I saw them twice this year and both times were amazing (though I'd give the edge to the second one because I was on the floor and up front for it). Either way, they played a great mix of old and new stuff and played with energy. The Tea Party: I've seen them three times and I am not yet bored of their live show. Jeff Martin is a great guitar player and the live show as a whole is total entertainment Weezer: The first time I ever saw one of my favorite bands live and they didn't disappoint. Even though the openers (AM Radio and Pete Yorn) left a little to be desired, Weezer more than made up for it. Ozzy: Seeing a hard rock legend live (no matter his current state) was a great experience.

Rent The Shield, both seasons. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a huge fan. I've had some of my friends watch as few as two episodes and they were hooked immediately. It's that good.

I'd just like to bump this thread to talk about what happened during Coheed and Cambria's set in Calgary yesterday. I'd never heard them before, but my friend convinced me to check them out. As soon as he came on, lead singer Claudio Sanchez was piss drunk and angry about a bottle being thrown at his guitar tech before the set. After downing pretty much an entire bottle of Jack Daniels, he taunted the crowd with insults and asked us to pelt him with bottles. After fulfilling his request for several minutes (much to the anger of his band mates who were hiding behind their amps to avoid the onslaught), and during which time Claudio was giggling and completely ruining songs by not even singing or forgetting parts, the guitarist of the band unhooked his guitar and walked off, ending the show early to great booing. Needless to say, this was the most bizarre if not most entertaining thing I've ever seen at a concert.

I'm pretty upset that the Shield isn't up for any major awards, but I know that the Sopranos will take all the awards anyway.

The Shield, season 3. Official Thread

Wow. That is all I can say about this entire season. The finale was filled with so much tension that it's going to be a bitch to wait until next year to see how it plays out. -
All I ask is how in the holy hell did Trinidad & Tobago make it into the tournament in D2?

Miracle (best hockey movie I've ever seen)

Anyone wanting to see the fight should check out BitTorrent. Suprnova.org has the fight, albeit with terrible sound quality. Nonetheless, I was shocked as all hell to see Jones get knocked out. The rematch will no doubt be a great fight.

I went to both shows in Calgary and they were the two best concerts I have ever been to. Both sets brought some good old stuff (Dyers Eve, No Remorse, The Four Horsemen, Fade to Black) and the band played with tons of energy and intensity. The second show was a little better because I was at the front of the pit and got a shirt thrown by Lars as well as high fives from James and Lars, but both shows were just incredible. I'd highly recommend going to see them.

The Shield, season 3. Official Thread

According to the TV Tome episode guide of the show, it looks like Season 3 will be a 15 episode season. -
I am stunned that it is over. Congrats to the Flames, and all I can say is that major change is needed in Detroit. Young talent is absolutely a necessity at this point.
-
I am so relieved right now. God, I was getting so angry after the two Calgary goals in 18 seconds, but by the time Zetterberg potted the empty net goal for the win, I was ecstatic. Since the next game is in Detroit, they have a real shot to win the series. This is the game Joseph needed to regain confidence, and Saturday should be very interesting.
-
I agree, which is why I want Legace to be in net in game 4. It's not like he was terrible in the Nashville series, and I think he could be a lot more effective versus the Flames

I was at the Detroit-Calgary game tonight and despite being a Wings fan (and the various debris throwing and taunts that come with it), the atmosphere was incredible, even if the Wings lost. I believe that game 4 will decide the winner of this series, and I pray to God it is Detroit.
