    Australian Federal Election

The right person won thank god. I go to a private school that was exempt from Lathams cuts (St. Kevins), but I still think it is unfair what he was trying to do. Not everybody that goes to those schools parent's have money growing on trees. Why should their tax dollars go towards somebody elses kid and not their own. Why should some rockape from Mill Park High who doesn't wanna be there get their education paid for, but a kid whos Parents work 2 jobs to send them to Wesley or Kings School get nothing. His education plan was extremly unfair and it WAS devisive. He is punishing parents who want to give their kids a better education than the education given in a public school. He also tried to get pretty with it by excluding Catholic & Jewish schools, and than having the Catholic church saying it was wrong to do what he was planning. I'll say it again, thank god the right person won.

    Eminem's New Song

I will cry myself to sleep if Dre had anything to do with that song. From someone who did "Straight Outta Compton", to have any hand in this utter piece of crap is just sad. That annoying screaming in the hook is so fucking bad, and whenever I hear it I wanna put my fist through a wall

Most Embarrasing thing To Happen to Someone Else

    1) Getting pulled of the stage at a school lunchtime concert 2)Seeing my mum help get my brothers arm unstuck from the side of his bed. He was reching for a porno. She needed to use Vaseline to get his arm out 3) My dad was in hospital a couple of months ago and he used my brothers sports bag. Me and my brother never saw visted him, but mum did a fair bit. The day he came back, my brother had sports training and needed the bag, so dad quickly emptied it and gave it to him. So he left, and when he was on the train, he reached into the side part of the bag, but he discovered an open box of condoms with the used ones left in there. This all happened when he was on the train, and he got rid of them as soon as th train pulled into the station, so Im not sure if he was telling the truth

    Mikey was at my school....

Even though I am all the way over here in Australia, if Mikey ever visited here, I know I'm safe from Fatness giving a speech at my high school, because our Tuckshop has a ban on all fatty foods

    Another 9/11 conspiracy..

What a dumb thread. They should use this thread as an example to pregnant woman about what can happen if you smoke or drink during pregnancy. The fact is Doyo has been constantly beat and had his arguments shot down, yet continually pushes the same dumb points and posts the same pointless picture, shows that he is just doing it to be an argumentative retard.

    AFL Coverage in North America

It is much more free flowing, with stoppages occuring when the bal goes over the boundry line, when a score is kicked, or when the ball is held up in a tackle. It is also played on a round oval, and I agree with Nanks that there is almost no comaprions between Rugby and AFL. Its like comapring American Football to Soccer

    AFL Finals Series

No chance Brisbane will win again. And while your describing how the system has been designed for teams like them not to have the run they have, also mention that they are granted and extra 15% or roughly $600,000 on to their salary cap. But as I was syaing, if they play Essondon next week at the MCG, Sheedy will do nothing short of blackmailing his players to get them over the line. Like Leigh Matthews said when describing Essondon of 2001 "If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It", and beleive you me, Brisbane bleeds

    Bills are screwed

I think the injuries have nothing to do with the length of the pre-season. The Browns 2nd round pick injure dhimself during a mini camp, Jon Jansen broke his leg in the HoF game, Losman broke his leg in Training Camp. A broken arm like what happened to Milloy isn't due to the length of the pre-season, its the fact that he landed bad. Landing bad can happen in any game. Over in Australia, the Western Bulldogs captin was lost for the year half-way through the first game of the year. I would say that had more to do with the fact that he landed wrong, rather than the fact he would have played in 4 pre-season games, 4 games is just fine for the pre-seaosn IMO

    Monday Night Football

I thought Lovie just built the LB Core for the Bucs . And it wasn't as if he needed to do much when you have Hardy Nickerson & Derrick Brooks. His job with the Rams was good last year though, they lead the leauge in takeaways. The receiver siuation is not good though. Justin Gage and David Terrell aren't going to scare anybody. On Terrel, He has been a bust with just 86 Catches, 903 yds, 10.3 per catch, 8 TD's in 3 years. Last year 9 players had that amount of catches, 19 players had that many yards and 16 players had that many TD Catches. Chad Johnson has had over the same time period 187 catches, 2850 yds, 15.2 per catch and 16 TD's. He had 69 catches and 1100 odd yards the year BEFORE Lewis came to town. One of them was taken with the 8th overall pick and the the 36th overall. Also, there is only a 7 game difference in games played between the two. Therefore, with Gage also in his 2 year, it will have to be the Bears D to carry them, but their lack of quality at receiver will hurt them. Relying on a 2nd year Quaterback, a former 6th overall pick on his 3rd team in 5 years and a former 2nd rounder who hasn't been able to live up to his form since his rookie season at running back, and Terrel & Gage, not to mention the fact they will have a rookie head coach shows that it may be another long season for the Bears.

Brock Lesnar causing havoc in scrimmage

I think this has been blown out of proportion, but if Brock does play some this year, it will be intresting to see how brutal the O-Linemen are on him. You would think that with Brock lining up against them, they would be detirmined not to lose a battle against a former wrestler, especially the struggling lines, like the Giants. Also, he might develop a reputation among the leauge due to this, and as a result face a sort of "hazing" from opposition teams, like late hits and the like.

    Cowboys release Quincy Carter

Fuck With Keyshawn and the Jones/George rushing attck, the Cowboys had what the didn't last year, a rushing attck and a reciver to move the chains consistantly. Vinny sucked last year for the Jets, and there is nothing to suggest he will any better this year for the Cowboys. I'll say it again, Fuck

Well, an interesting way to handle terrorism

How fucking dumb could Kerry be. Boy am I glad that I'm Australian and would'nt have a possible future Head of State that would do such a idiotic thing. Going on what he said, how would they collect the spent rods if thewy refuse to return them, or what would happen if terrorists hijacked the delivery of the rods. While I can sort of understand the reasoning (I think?), the possibility of something going drastically wrong far outweighs the good intentions that this questionable move has

    The Mini-camp/Preseason NFL Thread

From CBS Sportsline ________________________________________________________________ NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Eddie George's career with the Tennessee Titans is over. The team granted George's request Wednesday and released the franchise's all-time leading rusher -- a move forced by salary cap pressures and perhaps George's declining skills. "The best thing for Eddie George would be for him to finish his career here," general manager Floyd Reese said at a news conference. "For a number of reasons we were unable to get that done." The eight-year veteran, who turns 31 in September, rejected the Titans' latest offer and asked for his release Monday so he would have time to catch on with another team before training camps open next week. The Titans wanted George back, but at a reduced salary. The team's final offer was $1.5 million in base salary -- considerably less than the $4.25 million he expected to make this season. George, who has never missed a start in his career, was popular with Titans fans, but his production slipped in recent years. In 2000, he ran for 1,509 yards, averaging 3.7 yards per carry. But last season his average fell to 3.3 yards per carry, and his total was 1,031. The Titans' offense has also changed and now emphasizes the passing of Steve McNair, the NFL's co-MVP in 2003. Reese said there was a disagreement over a $1 million roster bonus the Titans paid George in March. The team considered that part of his salary for this year, but George considered it part of the previous deal. George's agent, Lamont Smith, told the Associated Press on Wednesday night that the Titans did not consider the deals given to Duce Staley by Pittsburgh or Charlie Garner by Tampa Bay. Staley, 29, signed a five-year, $14 million contract with the Steelers that included a $4 million signing bonus. Garner, 32, inked a six-year, $20 million deal with the Buccaneers that also included a $4 million signing bonus. With 2005 and 2006 unresolved in the Titans' offer, George also doubted he would be able to achieve some of the incentives. "They can try to spin it however they want to," Smith said. "The bottom line is they let a player go that gave his heart and soul to that team for the last eight years, and they didn't make a real effort to retain him." Reese said the team would prefer to sign free-agent running back Antowain Smith, who reportedly visited the Titans on Tuesday. Smith, who has averaged 3.9 yards per carry over his seven-year career in New England and Buffalo, has won two Super Bowls with the Patriots. "How do we replace him? Well, we're going to have to replace him with more than one guy," Reese said. "It's going to be impossible to find one guy to do all the things Eddie did." Titans coach Jeff Fisher said he also expects the Titans' remaining backs, veteran Robert Holcombe and second-year player Chris Brown, to play a greater role in the offense. "I think George gave this organization his heart and his soul, and I'll be forever grateful for that," Fisher said. McNair said he won't just miss a teammate, but a friend. "He was a great asset to my success through the eight years that we were together because of his dedication and his toughness," McNair said. "He's one of my guys that I looked up to. It's a very sad day for me." Brown said he learned a lot from George and he'll miss him, but he's ready for the added responsibility. "It's sad to see him go, but everyone had to do what they had to do," Brown said. "I welcome the opportunity if they now expect things out of me. I'm going to go out there and get the job done." Speculation on George's future with Tennessee began last season over whether the Titans, in deep salary cap trouble, could afford to keep the running back. Tennessee tried to free up salary-cap space in February by reworking George's deal, which runs through 2006, but he declined. George has said he wants to play for a team with a chance to win the Super Bowl, mentioning Tampa Bay, Dallas and his hometown of Philadelphia. He is only the second NFL running back to rush for 10,000 yards while never missing a start, joining Jim Brown. Only Walter Payton (170) has started more consecutive regular-season games than George's 128. Last December, George became the 17th running back to top 10,000 yards. He has 64 touchdowns for the franchise that drafted the 1995 Heisman Trophy winner out of Ohio State in April 1996. "I could draft running backs for the next 30 years and I may never draft another Eddie George," Reese said. I think this may be good that they have come out and said what they did, because it lets Al-Qeada know that they are not wlecome in there, and it may get rid of the terrorists excuse that they are doing it for the Iraqi people and their "brothers" in Abu Girab (sp?)

Oh the memories of WWE in 2000

I thinkit was smart to hold off Rocky winning at Backlash and the arrival of Austin, because it was not as if it would have given the WM buyrate a big boost. By hyping Austin at a lesser show, it helped Backlash's buyrate more than it would have for WM, as the WM show would have had no problm raking in a high buyrate.
