"You want to bring a bunch of Marines? Well, Shawn might care..."

"Two words, six letters "I Quit"? Gordon Solie wasn't the most intellectual of sorts, was he? Edit: Sarcasm meant in the above. Don't want to demean the memory of Solie.

'Cause that's what Sci-Fi wants.

Umaga missed the Spike.

Cookie for you.

At least SMH looked like she was trying. Lita looked like one of the Diva search contestants out there.

You gotta be fuckin' shitting me.

Edge gave Cena's dad the slap of eternal doom and temporary unconsciousness after breaking and entering.

And now Mickie gets to play face in the "who's on what side of the fence?" game tonight. Edit: Given the E's seeming desire to humiliate people in their hometown areas, Mickie might be in trouble.

Divas vs. Diva wannabees in a water fight? God help us. I thought SD was the one with the massacred roster. And is Statham's new movie ripping off the ECW Sci-fi commercial graphics?

Damn, Cena wasn't suffering while growing up was he?

Lita at the University of Virgin-ia? Whodathunk it? *jumping on the "Lita's a skank" bandwagon early*

Well, Morgan Ensberg has left a small village stranded on the basepaths already. Although a beanball war between Zambrano and Oswalt might get interesting. I want to see Barrett's next AB against Roy just to see if he gets some high-and-tight.

With Randy Moss on his team why would'nt you consider Brooks in round 9? He has to be able to get the ball within 5 yards of Moss first. *watches the deep in to Moss for 15* About time.

Brock Lesnar taps to Matt Hughes...

In that order? God I hope not for the initiated's sake. -
Note to self: Do not, unless he's the only one left on the board, draft Aaron Brooks. He has looked like absolute crap so far.

Speaking of which, I'd like to congratulate the eventual Super Bowl champion Houston Texans (hey, I didn't say HOW eventual) on opening the preseason by beating the Chiefs 24-14. Kubiak gets a win, Carr looks better than he has, and Mario did what he was supposed to do, which is tie up two blockers a lot of the time and open up someone else. Despite what ESPN wants to believe, Kyle Turley didn't "own" Super Mario. And, if I were Domanick Davis and Vernand Morency, I'd have my pads on and ready to practice on Monday morning. Wali Lundy, Chris Taylor, and even Damien Rhodes all looked good/very good running the ball. And Kubiak has proven that he doesn't need a big name RB to produce a running game.

It certainly seems like the vast majority of people around here hate the Astros anyway. It's just that viva's taken to pimping them whenever possible. I still remember last year's playoffs when everyone was bitching and moaning about the Astros beating the Braves and Cardinals. About 90% of the board complained about the lack of hitting, Clemens, even the damn stadium. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if they get the WC again. The most talented pitching staff of the teams in the race (for the most part) and just enough hitting to get them through (assuming Berkman, Huff, and Scott don't regress). Then it can all start again.

I think I'm going to schedule a game against Boise St. in a year or two when my team isn't as embarrassing as it currently is. In all my years of playing NCAA I've NEVER played a game on the Smurf Turf. No idea why.

I'm really interested to see how Hirsch pitches on Saturday. They projecting him as a #2 or 3 starter with a good fastball and real good sinker. If he pitches well, he could be a good boost for the rest of the season. Oswalt Pettitte Clemens Backe Hirsch That would look good for the rest of the year.

Midlevel conference FTW, yo.

"Wrong" is an understatement. I'm not exactly sure what could be considered an overstatement as to how wrong that picture truly is.

Yeah I bought the set and watched the OVAs. Christmas movie was good, but the Summer movie was ass. Had absolutely no point except to set up Keitaro's willingness to go to work with Seta (which becomes important in the OVAs). The OVAs were OK, but it still ended on a very mediocre note. Unfortunately I never really acquired a taste for mangas so I'm just going to assume everyone lives happily ever after. I guess I'm a big softy, but I bought 3 of the "romantic comedy" sets. Love Hina (I still liked it despite the ending), Sakura Diaries (good, and none of the strange things that I've heard occur in some of the Ujin animes) and Ai My Goddess (haven't seen it, but heard a lot of positive things about it). Romantic at heart. Maybe I'll go back and watch my Robotech sets or Cowboy Bepop the Movie to cleanse the palate.

Is that so? I would've thought they would put in the program somewhere that you can only mak a bowl if you beat a certain # of D1 school like in the real NCAA. Odd.

Well my Tigers dynasty started to get a bit repititious, so I swtarted a new cupcake on All-America, the Houston Gunslingers (in honor of my old semipro team). D's across the board, but luckily I don't actually have that many seniors starting out (only like 10 or 12). That'll make fielding a team easier since I won't have to keep as many of the inevitable walkons at the end of recruiting. Stomped Montana in my first game and made some recruting inroads with some of my targets (looks good for 3 or 4, might manage to pull 1 or 2 more depending on what my season looks like). Running a "Balanced Pass" offense but it's mainly my bruising HB (no speed but nice tackle breaking) running the option because my receivers can't catch a damn thing. My schedule's not that bad (C+) but there's no bowl this year since I've got a few 1AA schools on the schedule. It's the only way to get keep from getting run over. This is my first dynasty to start on AA so we'll see how it goes. I'm not optimistic.
