    Awesome 80s Movie Moments

"Self-realization. I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, when he said, "I drank what?" That was my cell phone ring for quite a while.

But defense wins championships! DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS! You can't outscore the Colts! /Texans FO still justifying the 1st round travesty Exactly what was the travesty? Not drafting the guy they didn't need? The travesty was the brain dead Saints picking and sticking with Reggie Bush when they already have a young all pro running back who gives defenses a headache. Two star running backs doesn't work. Eventually both of them will want to be "the guy" and they will bitch and complain til you have to deal one for a second-third round pick. Saints needed about a dozen other positions, instead they draft Reggie because THEY NEED STARS!! STARS!!! The travesty was a team that averaged barely 16 points a game and was the 30th ranked offense in the NFL doesn't take the best playmaker in the draft in order to take a player who MIGHT get a sack a game if he's really REALLY good. People down here who have been defending the pick keep saying that "offense wins games, defense wins championships" but you need to win games before you get the chance for championships. And Bush can be more than just an RB. Slot, wideout, split back. He's talented enough that you can put him just about anywhere. Williams is someone who had 3 really strong games against weak competition and a great combine and turned it into a top pick.

    Ortiz vs. Shamrock still on??

I'd love it if they'd come to Texas, plus I have a feeling that'd they'd do pretty good business here. Shoot, my friends and I are going to go on the road to LV when storm season is over (insurance work lets me travel a bit) if there's a card going on.

Wow, the front office remembered they had one of the worst offensive linees in the league last year. I'm a bit happier. Would've taken Pope instead of Spencer though, just to give a change of pace for Putz.

AJ fell into their laps. He wanted Charles Rogers but couldn't trade up in front of Detroit to get him. Same with Dunta Robinson. They only picked him up when they couldn't move in front of ATL to get DeAngelo Hall. This guy drafted Seth Wand and Charles Hill in the 3rd, traded 3 first day picks to get Jason Babin, then traded 2 more first day picks for Phillip Buchanon. Impressive for only 4 years.

Texans have some serious talent staring them in the face at #33. Shit if they can take Justice I might come close to forgiving them for #1. I don't care how "lazy" he's percieved as the guy can play. Edit: Or trade down a spot or two, pick up another pick, and still get someone like D'Qwell, Leonard Pope, or Eric Winston.

No. They had an absurd number of players drafted last season. This was a weak class for them. And they'll have the #1 pick next season probably. Unless the Texans are drafting #1 again. They'll find a deep snapper that "fills a need".
