Wow. Not the fight I was expecting between a wrestler and a muy thai fighter. They've still spent almost the entire episode on Jorge, so unless they swerve us I'm wondering if Jason runs out of gas or something.
-
Not a great RNC by Jorge, but Jason still did a good job fighting it off. Jason's done better than I thought he would, especially striking, but that cut's going to cost him.
-
Well, Jorge is going to win, but I think Jason's going to leave it all in the ring.
-
Holy shit. This is an actual CHALLENGE. Poor Mike having to lift Joe for 2 hours. And Jorge throws a hissy fit.

Nice "Fine, well FINE!" fight between Matt and Rashad. Showboating will get you your head knocked off. I have the feeling Rashad's going to be fighting rather frequently before the show's over.

Man, I coulda just sworn JR had a Bobby Heenan flashback and called HBK's elbow on Masters a "flying burrito" before correcting himself. I may be going insane. -

It's a pride thing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> These are overly muscular men who put on tights, oil up, and roll around with other men on a show that has promoted such things as necrophilia and bastardy. Pride went out the window a while back. NTTAWWT. -

Hey uh, Cade, it's a non-title match. It didn't matter if he got pinned! -

Val's marking his territory? What's he gonna do, pee on Cade? -
No no no you see everyone the Yankees want should instantly recognize the greatness inherent in the organization and be falling all over themselves to sign for $1 a year. Wait a second.... There. Those pinstripe colored glasses I was trying on gave me a headache. As for AP, he was ready to resign with the Yankees but Steinbrenner kept putting him off to deal with every other free agent on the market. He never talked to Pettitte and basically made him look like a second tier guy. Then when he finally decided to talk to Andy he offers less than what the Astros offered. By the time he upped his offer Andy had already decided on the Astros. The Astros simply took a shot and it hit.

Deuling farts with Michael Moore, Quagmire showing he's done WAYYYY too much. Seth's managed to keep the show fairly on keel so far.

A few quick thoughts since I've been out most of today: Stanford losing to UC-Davis. Just sit back and think about it. A Pac-10 team lost at home to a team that's probably about #3 or 4 in thier 1-AA conference. Just based on the highlights, Bomar was getting his ass kicked out there by the Bruins. He took at least a couple of nasty shots. Good to see ND lose. I've never liked them, probably never will, and I hate thier fight song. I played a team in HS that played that after every score and they hung 50 on us. I still wince when I hear it. Also good to see Texas A&M pound someone. Sorry SMU, teach your DBs to tackle. Reggie McNeal is a beast when he's on. Since I love underdogs, props to Vandy. I'd love to see them be 5-0 going into the LSU game. Edit: Wanted to add that the ending of Pitt and Nebraska is one of the worst things I've ever seen outside of Pop Warner. But, based upon the final score, the ending was pretty much a representation of the whole game.

Is Cage a punk bitch in this one? *doesn't expect a positive answer*
-
Jacques Plisken? He's seen too many John Carpenter movies.
-
Ken Kennedy, the savior of Smackdown. OK I exaggerate, but not by much.
-
I've been switching between SD and the Astros game, have I missed Ken Kennedy? I'm still pissed I missed his backstage skit with Booker T last week.

Rey's new music is.....interesting.

Metal Gear Solid 4 to feature much older Snake...
Conspiracy_Victim replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in Video Games
Based on UYI's third link, I'd say that Otacon did NOT age well. And apparently that patch Snake is wearing is functional, as it apparently shows Snake an overhead map of the area (at last we have a reason behind us having a radar) among other things. For right now, it's being called the "Solid Eye System". There's a pretty good article about the trailer here. Apparently Kojima even breaks the 4th wall in the trailer near the end. Don't forget to check the comments, there's a link to the trailer itself. Quality's OK. I still haven't beaten 3, but I may have to play it through just to keep the timeline at least somewhat complete in my head for 4. -
OK quick question. I've got Corey Dillon this week as one of my starting RBs, but I'm torn on the other starter. I've got Domanick Davis vs. the always tough Pittsburgh defense, or Fred Taylor against an Indy defense he's gained at least 100 yards against in 3 of the last 4 matchups. I've got Taylor as my starter for now, but I'm leery about it. And don't even start on my WRs. I'm still trying to figure out which 3 of Darrell Jackson, Isaac Bruce, Chris Chambers, Anquan Boldin, Brandon Lloyd, and Donte' Stallworth should start.

XBox 360 at Amazon.com - No Bundles Needed
Conspiracy_Victim replied to bradolson's topic in Video Games
Ahem, ahem... Per IGN: "TOKYO Sept. 15, 2005 Fueling global anticipation for the arrival of its powerful new video game and entertainment system, Microsoft Corp. today announced that Xbox 360 will arrive on store shelves Tuesday, Nov. 22 in North America, Friday, Dec. 2 in Europe, and Saturday, Dec. 10 in Japan. The announcement, made on the eve of Tokyo Game Show 2005, marked the first time that a game console will be launched in three territories in the same time frame. In preparation for what is expected to be massive worldwide demand for the new system, Microsoft also announced that Xbox 360 manufacturing is under way, with state-of-the-art facilities producing millions of units ultimately bound for frenzied gamers' homes from Osaka, Japan, to Oxford, England, and Orlando, Fla. "This holiday season, gamers in Japan, Europe and North America pining to experience jaw-dropping high-definition graphics, unmatched online play and compelling digital entertainment features of Xbox 360 will finally have the chance," said Robbie Bach, chief Xbox officer for Microsoft. "Renowned development studios around the world are busy putting the finishing touches on their Xbox 360 games. We expect a strong portfolio of titles on launch day and through the holidays that will appeal to fans of every genre and gamers in every region, and with more than 200 games currently in development, continuous new additions to the library are on the way." So, it's coming out right BEFORE Thanksgiving. Well, could be worse. Bach seems to be speaking corporateese for "We might have a pretty decent launch and some good stuff before Christmas. We're not completely sure yet." Assumming I can find someone who is willing to risk dismemberment by holding me a spot in line, I'll probably pick it up. -
Lita's all woman...well, and a little silicone. Did the bookers run out of ideas so they just threw these two out there or something?
