Yeah my XBox melted down after 20 minutes of DMC4. I'm hoping it's the game's fault so they'll have to fix it for free, but I know the odds of that are about nil. At least I've still got my Playstation until I get some cash together.

Well, after trying to play the game a couple more times I got the dreaded RROD (just one quadrant though, not 3) and a "E 74" message. Customer service was remarkably unhelpful and told me to send it in. I've got to decline, so now I'm XBoxless. I'm hoping (selfishly) that it's the game and a few more Boxes melt down so they have to shoulder responsibility, but I'm not very hopeful.

Wierd. I click on the link and while I'm waiting for the link to load I'm flipping through the channels and what should I find playing? "Street Fighter: The Movie". I'm trying to decide which version is better.

Got it, played through the first few missions on "Devil Hunter" (the harder of the two opening difficulties) and it's not terribly difficult so far. Pretty good cutscenes, and the plot is so far pretty much nonexistant (as expected) although there hasn't been much chance for exposition. Only problem is that starting with the cutscene that introduces Gloria (who makes quite the entrance), the game starts showing thin blue vertical lines down the screen and muted colors. I guess it's the disc, but I really don't feel like taking time out of work to go exchange it. If anyone else has the problem or a solution, let me know please.

Yeah I just called the gamestop here and they said tomorrow. It seems over the past few years it is changing from Tuesday to Wednesday that everything hits stores. Maybe since they don't control when the shipments come in, it was too hard to guarantee everything by Tuesday....but I swear, when I was younger, everything was sitting on the shelf by tuesday morning. I would check around other places, but since I am trading in a game I want to use Gamestop. Yeah I don't know when release dates changed. It used to be I'd stop by some chain like a Best Buy on a Tuesday and check out the new releases for everything. Games, movies, music, the whole deal. Now a Tuesday release can mean either it ships Tuesday or it's actually on the shelf on Tuesday. I don't know what happened. Get off my lawn you damn kids.

Preordered at Gamestop (I had $5 in credit for some reason) and they claimed it wasn't coming out until tomorrow. I have my doubts, but I hve plenty to keep me busy for another day.

That to me (an untrained eye) looked like a bullshit point deduction and stand up. He hit Mir on the side of the head, then as he was throwing another hammerfist Mir tried to get off his back and Lesnar got him on the side of the back of his head. Then Mazzagatti didn't even give him a warning or anything, just went straight to the stand up. That gave Mir a chance to collect himself from the quick takedown and the quick series of shots he had taken. I'm not saying it cost Brock the match (him not knowing what to do from the standup with his opponent in guard did that) but it certainly didn't help. Brock still looked pretty good though. Needs to work on his defense of course, but I think that with some more work Brock could be a monster.

Well, based on Hawk's sterling recommendation of the next 50 episxodes of Bleach, I've decided to take a break and switch to Naruto. I'm catching the dubbed episodes on YouTube before they get deleted (for some reason YouTube really seems to be cracking down on Naruto episodes), and so far through the first 70 episodes I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Naruto's a bit annoying, Sakura's pretty much worthless so far, and Sasuke's to emo for me (although I'll give him a little leeway based on his family history), but Kakashi's entertaining as hell and a lot of the secondary characters are pretty engaging (esp. Shikimaru). I will say that the character that surprised me the most was Rock Lee. When I first saw him I though his was going to annoy the hell out of me, but his fight with Gaara in 48-49 really impressed me. It's amazing what a little backstory can do for a character. Plus, the shot of him dropping the leg weights is probably one of the more memorable moments in anime. I'm anticipating them doing something with his character, because there's no way they can leave the character the way it is right now. All in all, I'm interested in where they're going to take the story now that war's broken out. Hopefully Naruto learns to calm down a little bit, because right now he makes me want to slip him some decaf. Believe it.

The first and third DMCs were entertaining, the second was trash. God the second was awful. Being able to fire the rocket launcher and kill everything before you could see them takes the fun out of it. Plus they just sucked the life out of Dante. Very little of the smartass from 1. I'm hoping 4 works, I really want some mindless violence. All things considered though, it's not terribly difficult if you used to something like Ninja Gaiden. It serves it's purpose though.
