I'm trying to determine at what point "Well, he's a QB and doesn't know how to block" stops being a vaild excuse. Green has been playing football for probably close to 25 years. He HAD to have picked up a few things in that time. I've spent nearly my entire football career as a defensive lineman but I could execute a 10 yard out and catch the ball. It might be ugly, but I could do it. At the NFL level, I am much less willing to accept ignorance as an excuse. Green went straight at Johnson's knees and got kneed in the head. A guy with a history of concussions should have known better. If nothing else run with Johnson (I've seen him in person, he ain't that fast) and simply get in his way or "ole" block him. Johnson wasn't going to catch Ginn. I applaud Green's effort and willingness to help, but I condemn him for risking injury to himself and other players. Also, Johnson should have kept his fat trap shut after the game. Don't talk shit to the press about a guy who got injured (no matter how it happened) while you walked away. It makes you look like an even bigger asshole.

Hmm. I think we found a relatively painless way for HHH to break Flair's title record. Just have HHH "Dreamer" the belt a few times and he could be done by the end of the year.

Oh well since it wasn't intentional that makes it all OK then. He could have snapped Johnson's leg at the knee or blown out the ligaments but I'm sure the "it was an accident" defense is perfectly valid. Fact is, Green was coming from Johnson's blind side. He could have gone high and planted his helmet in Johnson's chest and sent him in the other direction. Instead he went low, risking Johnson's and, as it turns out, his own health.

Looking at the play, it's obvious Trent hasn't had to throw too many blocks in his career. However, he did throw a block that bordered on malicious, intentional or not. Johnson was running full speed and Green came at his blind side and went straight for the side of the knees, flipping Johnson over. If Johnson were a LB and Green a WR, Green gets a 15 yard pentaly for an illegal crackback block. The only reason Johnson got the flag is because he was taunting what turned out to be an injured player. Green gets up, the players go facemask to facemask until someone breaks them up.

After watching the Gauntlet, I'm wondering when they're going to do anything worthwhile with Kaz. If nothing else, I'd love to see him team up with the MCMGs for some 6 man tag matches or something. Give him something, ANYTHING to do.

I know I've seen too much wrestling when my first thought after reading that Evans v. Bisping was main eventing was, "Hamil comes out and saves Evans from the post-match beat down". Anyways, I might have to find some place to watch this. I'm not a huge fan of either Evans or Bisping, so watching them pummel each other should be somewhat entertaining. I'll probably be most interested in Houston/Silva though.

I'd like to give some props to Kris Brown, who became only the third person in history with 3 50+ yard FGs in the same game (54, 54, and a game winning 57) as the still injury plagued Texans managed to squeak past the Dolphins. Not a pretty game, but I'll take it. They still need AJ, Jacoby Jones and Ahman Green back ASAP because the offense looks.... I'll be generous and say less than average.

Putting it on Friday night won't help matters. I hope it survives but I'm not terribly confident at this point.

I didn't notice any references (although to be honest I wasn't really looking for them) but I did hear Adam Baldwin and Nathan Fillion as soldiers. Alan Tudyk did some voice work as well, but I didn't notice his voice to be honest. There's apparently a Red vs. Blue easter egg in one of the scenes. I think it's at the beginning of the stage where you look through a doorway and you see a Warthog getting 'naded. You're supposed to turn off the main hallway and down a path until you come to a locked door where apparently two of ther RVB characters (it changes depending on the difficulty level from what I've heard) arguing about getting let in. It's supposedly pretty funny, I'll go back and see if I can find it for sure. Then of course there's the skulls scattered throughout the game. Haven't heard of anything else for sure though. .......do you mean the one I posted here? Taking a look at the promo(?) I saw: SMACK_BROUGHT1. SAVE_US.222 RAW_NEW8.com and a lot of stuff about CyberAstronomy. Hopefully the "star" Chris Jericho will come back in his "Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla" character to "save us" from boring TV. Edit: my TV format didn't seem to fit the video very well, but there may be a reference to WM99_MATCH_TRI(cutoff) Wrestlemania 1999 maybe? What happened back then?
