Holy Flirking schnit. Right at about 2:00 everything goes to hell. And it's not even because of the volume of notes, because Jordan has that beat. Just the speed of it and the placement of some of those (the quick green-yellow-orange ascension in particular) are crazy. And I can say that's the first time I've seen 4 button chords on any custom song.

Something tells me we're not going to get a 5* technical masterpiece here.

You do realize that Transformers, with the exception of the two Mainframe series, WAS anime, right? Well i never considered the orginal series to be "anime". In all honesty it could just be I don't know the line between whats "anime" and whats "manga". Probably due to my ex refering to things I would have considered "manga" as "anime" (i.e. Naruto - which by the way, is garbage.) "Anime" is the TV broadcast of a cartoon series. "Manga" is the print version of that same series (looks like an oversized comic or paperback book a lot of times). Two different formats.

WM XX. I remember going into this and I had it in my head that there was no way Benoit was walking out with the belt. One of the happiest "guessed wrong" moments I've ever had.

Benoit in the ring, Nancy and Elizabeth on the outside. Strikes me as such a sad image.

I'm glad they're going back and showing him in the old ECW and WCW days. Shows what a great competitor and performer he was for such a long time.

Out of all the wrestling I've seen, he's probably the one that most made me wince in sympathetic pain and think "Damn, that had to hurt!" He made me suspend disbelief no matter how smarkish I've gotten.

Yeah it's odd. Not that I'm doubting the report (I'm going to assume that not even the E would do something as classless as faking a tragedy like this) but I haven't found anything on any of the web sites for either Atlanta or Edmonton news outlets. You'd think this would cause some ripple in the media.

I hope that Vince comes out and says something to the effect that in light of the tragedy that has befallen the Benoit family, to continue with his current storyline would be in poor taste, thereby ending it as gracefully as possibly while at the same time recognizing the (for lack of a better term) reality of this horrible event. This is a horrible, horrible day. This is like Eddy Guerrero's passing bad, if not worse. In Eddy's case, his troubled past made the possibility of something tragic remote but real. This is just out of the blue terrible. I am shocked.

From what I read (I may misremember it though) the guitar has the two different fret boards because one of them is used exclusively for high solos and the hammer-ons/pull-offs. I don't think you're actually going to be singing on the track. The mic is just going to be used for word detection so if you get the word right the singer will "sing"it correctly. So, hopefully no tone deaf morons sounding like crap and ruining the performance.

I guess I'm bumping this topic, since I just found this thread. I don't venture into the Lit. folder much and elt like putting my $.02 in as an afterthought. I personally thought the ending was horrible. I can see where King can justify it ("The clues were there if you looked!") and I know King's not big on happy endings but it just felt...incomplete. We followed this story for decades and we end up back at the start? What's the point? And then, as a further insult, we get King's "well if you don't like the ending, tough luck don't blame me I just write this stuff" author's note (I don't know if it's in all the editions, but it is in the 1st". What a bunch of crap. King tried to give himself a get out of jail free card because he knew a LOT of people were going to be pissed about the lack of a real ending. It all just felt like a huge letdown to me personally. And I swear, if Martin's "Fire and Ice" series ends not with a bang, but with a whimper (like this one does) I might go postal in the nearest Barnes and Noble.
