Ahhh thank you. I was also wondering about the RAM. Looks as if I should make sure to get RAM included with my MB Combo order Good idea for the case after the MB too, I saw a few nice Cases at Comp USA the other day around 70-100 bucks. Also, I have a 400W Power supply already since my original one blew up...it didnt fit in this case but it should fit in a standard size case I assume? (right now it's just hooked up like shit hanging out the back of my case lol)

The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread
Cartman replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Video Games
Just saw this on another board. Is this accurate? After one full year on the circuit your season mode automatically ends; but players will be given the chance to import all of their records, titles, and stables into a new season should they want to continue. And while it's awesome to know that game keeps track of every wrestler's title history, win/loss record, and their most common opponents, it's the beginning of year two where the season mode begins to show its weaknesses. On the one hand, you have the fact that the CPU actually remembers your feuds and partners for some storylines (which is great), but then seems to forget them entirely the subsequent month. We had Vince McMahon on a mission to destroy us all month long but we could visit him backstage at the PPV where it was supposed to happen only to receive an extra Superstar point because he had confidence that we'd take the victory in the main event. Huh? -

Nice! As long as the storylines carry over and don't repeat themselves each year I will definitely buy this game. -

I need to be convinced to drop a 50 on this game tonight. I'm seriously thinking of buying it right now, but i'm not sure yet. Does the season last longer than 2 years? -
...and the Patriots' lead in the AFC East increases...
-
Was that your original game, or did they cut to it after your game ended, and they're still on it? It's the original game.

Everyone on this board is playing HCTP like tpww7...

Uh, I think I just saw Indy get screwed out of a safety...

^^^ What he said. If you are using this comp for playing games then you definitely want a P3/P4 as opposed to Celeron. Rant I have a question for you... I am also looking to upgrade, and I also have a stupid HP Pavillion with the proprietary case. I have been shopping around online for a good MB Combo for a while now just seeing what kinds of packages I can get a great deal on. If I buy a standard case, and throw the new Motherboard I buy into that case, I should be able to usemy current Hard Drive, CD-RW, Floppy Drive, etc. with the new Motherboard right? Would there be any other things I need to buy? If you need more info on what i'm trying to do just let me know and i'll answer whatever questions. I'm basically looking for a P4 around 2Ghtz or higher (800FSB)

Well picking up, dropping, and trading players is all part of the risk and strategy. You can pick up and drop players to get more points all week long, but you run the risk of losing certain players. I do see your point though.

It's not exactly THAT suprising since he has averaged 17 PPG 3 years of his career and always hung in the mid-teens scoring. With Mashburn out he's the only real scorer besides Davis.

I got 93 VGM's so far with Kenny Thomas left to go

Heh, pretty cool that my player (Eric LeBeau, AKA Me) earned his first career win on his 21'st B-day.

In Manny's defense he never wanted to play in Boston in the first place. His agent got Dan Douquette to give him WAY more than any other team would, and his agent said "Your going to play for Boston because they will pay you insane money." Manny, being the 5th grade mentality basically said, "Ok Boss". Also, Manny's numbers were slightly down this year for one reason, because everyone else in the lineup was knocking in runs. Nobody on base = No RBI's for Manny. Oh and don't forget the countless times Nomar was the 3rd out of an inning thus forcing Manny to leadoff ALOT. Take this from a guy with no life that watches every single game
-
Cool with it? He ASKED FOR IT! When your player says "I don't want to play here" you try to trade him, or release him.

It figures that Yahoo would finally put Wally on IL status AFERT I waited a few days for it to happen. Oh well Only hope I got of not looking too stupid is that they say his injury may keep him out longer than first expected...AND may hinder him throughout the season.
-
He IS on the trading block, has been since Theo got here. Fortunately the Sox don't seem to be stupid enough to trade him for someone else's problem, which is the ONLY way another team would take Manny and his contract. Nobody wants him and his contract. End Of Story.
-
I'm almost positive in every way that Theo and Co. have been shopping Manny since the day he took over the GM duties. NO team wants to give up good prospects or players for Manny and his sick ass contract. As for Boston's side of trading him, if they traded him, they would end up jjust getting stuck with some other team's garbage and THAT shitty players' contract. Therefore by waiving him, they just give any team the chance to take him off their hands without Boston having to take on a bad player with a bad contract. It all does make sense. Also if nobody picks him up, which i'm sure nobody will, maybe....just MAYBE it pisses Manny off and manny actually produces like he used to, next year.

Marbury!!! Absolutely on FIRE right now. Spurs are looking really sad...

How many times has Oakland won a playoff series under Beane's "Moneyball" Theories? ...and THAT is what my Red Sox want to base their team on now? Wonderful.

Here's a REAL GOOD story on ESPN.com First of all this team did NOT underacheive by any means. They severely OVERacheived. You think Bill Mueller will ever have a season like this one? How botu Millar? Ortiz? Walker? Please. To win, you need the pitching, and that means more than a declining Pedro Martinez, and a decent starter in Lowe. Wakefield performed masterfully in the playoffs with exeption to game 7 ALCS, but he is not a dominant starting pitcher. People rag on Grady and the Bullpen all year when the real major problem was starting pitching. Now they talk of Kim being in the rotation next year, maybe a minor upgrade from Burkett as a #5 starter. Then what? Arroyo? Lyon? Yea right. This team was already going to have to struggle to get back to the playoffs next year, not that Grady is gone they DEFINITELY will not even sniff the playoffs. Stupid Boston Fans. Stupid Boston Organization. Any team that lets it's fans and local media determine what should be done on the field is doomed from the beginning anyways. I will always root for, and watch, my Red Sox in the summertime, but I will never agree with the moronic tendencies of ownership and management to listen to what the "fans" have to say, and especially to what the retarded Boston Media has to say.

The teams with the best record's are not always the "Best" teams. If you get rid of the Wild Card than Boston never makes the playoffs, and as we all know Boston + Playoffs = Ratings!
