Um, why would they have to give Baltimore permission when Grady is not under contract? His options have not been picked up, and probably won't be at all by the 31st. Making him a Free Agent.

There are only 2 guys out there that I could deal with Besides grady as Manager of the Sox next year. Bruce Bochy Jerry Remy! Remy knows the game better than most of the other managers in the league, no question. The reason I am hung up on that moron Grady is b ecause as much of a moron he may or may not be, he got that team together without letting problems divide them like every other god damn Red Sox team I wasted my summer's watching every night. People can claim that this team has the hitting and the personalities to stay together and be competitive without Grady all they want, yet that fact is, if you bring a new manager in he is going to want to run things differently and the players won't like that. Once these primadonna's like Nomar, Pedro, and Manny find a guy they like, they won't just jump on the new guy's bandwagon because Ownership says so. If the Sox bring in a new Manager they may as well just dump some players and start over again.

Well the good thing about that is, alot of broads these days are whore's at an early age...so when thay notice...well...you know.

...and all Boston needs to do is be smart and give Grady at least one more year with some real starting pitching as opposed to that mess of a rotation that was the 2003 Boston red Sox. Oh yea and maybe fix the bullpen too.

Nice to see some people with common sense enough to realize that if Boston doesn't do the right thing and bring back Grady for next year, they are going to have almost ZERO chance of getting back to the playoffs. By getting rid of Grady they may as well just trade away Pedro and Nomar and just re-build while they're at it. Grady won almost 200 games in his first two major league managing years. How can anyone justify not giving him a contract for at least another year.

Imagine the backlash in Boston if this was Boston and Grady had benched Nomar and Manny in a World Series game. THAT is about the same garbage as Torre pulled tonight and he is called a great manager.

This team looks pretty good, albeit a pre-season game an all. I'm loving Paul tonight too, nearing triple-double numbers already. Also...as of the end of the 3rd Quarter the Celts are outscoring the T-Wolves in the paint like 36-4.

Celtics have not had a major shot blocker in YEARS! That is another major reason the trade was made. Also, Walker is no innocent man. He has been talkin' shit every day since the trade about the Celtics organization. Furthermore, it was mentioned in today's herald that Fatoine is in shape for the first time in his career for training camp, AND, when asked to do certain things on the court, he would do what he was told for a couple games then go back to his old shitty ways again. Paul Pierce is more of a leader on that team than Fatoine ever was.

From what I hear on Ainge, he will wait til next year for another major move. Most likely will be involving using their Mid-Level exemption to get a top Free Agent. I don't mind the trade all THAT much as of right now. After I watch and see exactly what Raef can bring to the table despite what people say about him. I also believe that Jiri Welsch was a pretty big part of that deal in the long run.

Celtics starting 5 will be THIS for most of the season: PG Mike James (Marcus Banks will get starts IF he proves he can handle it) SG Paul Pierce SF Jumaine Jones(Only thing holding him back is an injury, he will be the starter when healthy) PF Raef Lafrentz (Vin Baker will get time here, as will Macarty) C Battie (Expect Baker to spell Battie as well, Baker has earned much playing time with his performances thus far)

Teams that call themselves GREAT teams will always lose more since that just gives their opponents more reason to beat their asses.

1. Lots of luck...which is a factor for alot of championship teams. 2. Great coaching staff...which most people know about already. 3. Great draft this year...Asante Samuel, Eugene Wilson, Dan Klecko, and Dan Koppen have had HUGE impacts as starting rookies(with exception to Klecko as he isnt starting but he plays ALOT, be it on offense, Special Teams, and Defense). Samuel and Wilson have been huge in replacing Milloy and Law(injuries). 4. They know how to win games...Tom Brady and co. don't have a Superbowl ring for nothing. 5. Semi-Successful running game...Faulk has been pretty damn good taking over for Smith and Cloud has helped a bit as well.
