I liked Milloy for all the years he spent here but i'm not sad to see him go at all. The Patriots will not bend for anyone and I like that in a team. He wouldnt help the team out so he got cut. Simple as that. Have fun in buffalo Lawyer, and good luck.

On that note... Same thing can be said for those picking the Bears over the 49ers on Sunday. I feel pretty safe going with SF and WAS to win this weekend since the J-E-T-S SUCK SUCK SUCK and the Bears defense got raped by my Patriots

Technically yes. For the most part it will be sort of "Running Back By Committe" in New England...(not again!) You will probably see Smith in short yardage situations for his north-south power running ability. Faulk is the much more versatile back and will rack up big yardage both recieving out of the back field and running. Think of Kevin as a much lesser version of his cousin over in St. Louis.

2 series rings cannot outweigh 2 20 strikeout games, 3 Cy Youngs, an MVP, numerous team records, etc. Even REAL Yankee fans agree that Clemens is, and always will be, a Red Sox. He may have had good performances and good numbers in NY since joining the team, but they didn't need him to win. They won without him. He was along for the ride so to speak.

Well see the thing is he has NO choice as to which team he gets inducted into the HOF as. If they choose Boston to be his team, he said before that he wouldnt show up to the ceremony. I think he might change his mind after today.
-
I knew they would have the class to do that. It was incredible. Now it's up to Roger to show HIS respect to the team that he was at his best with and go into the HOF wearing the Boston Red Sox Cap.

WEEI radio in Boston just reported that Jon Miller had an interview with Pedro tonight, and Pedro says he is sick of the Media and the Fans getting on him in Boston. He says he wiull take his 17.5 million next year and without a doubt walk after the season...unless the Sox trade him before then. I wish they would trade this Cancer before he completely ruins the chemistry of this current batch of players. Hell I would go as far as benching his sorry ass for the rest of the season until he can be dealt in the Off-Season. Yea that would be stupid and would severely hurt the Red Sox chances of making the playoffs, but how can you put a guy that blatantly makes these comments on the mound in a heated pennant race? If you were Grady little could you put him on the mound to try and win important games for you? I couldnt.

"While the dejected Contreras walks back to his dugout after being pulled from a horrible pitching performance, a young and foolish Yankee fan looks on with dissappointment. While a Jovial Red Sox fan laughs with delight.

Pure Art right here. This picturse tells the story of last night's game, and I believe tells the future as well.

How about someone just starts a "One and Only Smark Football League Trash Talking Thread" in the NHB folder? -
Yea Al is right, he isnt a Bandwagon Jumper...he's a Frontrunner.

While we're on the topic of a so-called "Curse" I just saw a commercial on HBO about a documentary of sorts about "The Curse". September 16th...Hopefully this show will do more to prove that the curse is just silly.

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...id=519&ncid=716 This piece of garbage deserved it too. I know it's wrong to say someone deserves to die but all the things I heard about on the radio about him here in the Boston area made me utterly ill. This waste of human flesh got exactly what he deserved. Any other thoughts?
-
But you don't understand that Boston fans do NOT believe in the curse. Only people that even talk about any curse are fans of other teams or just causal baseball fans. Hardcore sports fans like myself know better than to believe in some ficticious BS that a lame ass Globe writer made up.
-
See, that's the problem. The Red Sox will never end the streak. Jason Can I see your Psychic credentials?
-
The Herald(which I read every weekday) is leaps and bounds better than that schill machine Globe. Globe reporters are ALWAYS involved when there is some player comment controversy here. Coincidence? Me thinks not. PJ Stock is the heart of the Bruins. There is NO such thing as "The Curse", that was made up by a GLOBE reporter One reason you don't hear about fans bashing Kidd and his wife in other cities, is that other cities reporters don't get as much national view than Boston reporters. if something happens in Boston that is sports related...it WILL be known. Whether it's real or just a bunch of overblown BS...the country WILL know about it soon enough.

You wouldn't know what being a Boston sports fan is like unless you actually ARE one. Tom and Pin are absolutely correct. That racism thing died a LONG time ago...and it was the team, not the fans, that had the racist tendencies. We boo great players, true, but that's only when said great players play like crap. Just because we boo them doesn't mean we want them traded or run out of town...we want them to play BETTER because we want to WIN. I had an argument with a friend of mine at work just yesterday in fact because he said he doesn't blame Red Sox fans who have gotten sick of cheering and hoping for the losing to stop in Boston for becominng Yankee fans like so many have. I told him he was nuts. Anyone who stops rooting for the team they decided to root for in the first place because they don't win championships is just plain lame. Half the fun of being a Red Sox fan is the anticipation of them finally endng the long streak of no championships. It's one of the reasons that you see almost as many Sox fans as their opponents fans in road games. I can;'t count how many times the Sox have played on road games and actually get cheered because there's just as many sox fans in the seats as the home team's fans.

Alkeiper puts foot in mouth. Jango makes me smile Sox may not have won for a VERY long time but at least we got a bunch of championships in the beginning...including the first ever World Series.
