Why? They won that game without any "cheating" video's. The camera guy was removed in the middle of the first quarter. Halfassed logic. Its not cheating if you only do it for the first half of the first quarter. They were still given an unfair advantage and they happened to win the game.. Wow..just wow. Do you not realize that even if they have been using videos of opponents defensive signals all along it would only possibly benefit them in the second half of any game? There is no way in hell they could get that video footage to the rest of the coaching staff and decipher everything that quickly to be used right as they film it.

It will hurt, but not as much as it would if they had not aquired the 49'ers 1st rounder...Which they basically got for nothing.
-
They said the Pays lose THEIR 1st rounder if they make the playoffs, they keep the Niners 1st.

Really don't want to start 0-3 but it's my second ranked opponent in 3 weeks

Rotoworld.com is saying Belichick will be suspended 2-3 games and they will be stripped of a first day draft pick.

Trust me i'm sick of the media too, for those and many other reasons. I'm just a fan of the team I don't give two shits about what the media thinks about the team.

No you asshat, i'm just ending this whole "They should forfeit the Jets game because they used video of their signals leading them to their second half domination" bullshit. They may have used this in previous games but last sunday was not one of them. There is no possible way for them to take advantage of knowing the other teams signals until they have time to watch and decipher. Most likely done at halftime. You know, the same thing every other team does without using video footage and instead using people in the stands/sidelines/booth to watch what the defensive coaches are calling and eventually relaying to the team.

"NEW YORK - A spokesman for NFL commisioner Roger Goodell today confirmed reports that an associate of the New York Jets also had a video camera confiscated during this Sunday's game at the Meadowlands, however there will apparently be no punishment. "We did also confiscate a tape that was being recorded by a Jets official during the game. Through our review process however, it was determined that the recorded material on the tape was not sufficient enough to gain any specific advantage during the game and thus the commissioner's office plans to take no action against the New York Jets. The content of this tape alone serves as adequate self-discipline." The tape, according to a league source who did not wish to be identified, "consisted entirely of shots of the back of Patriots' receiver Randy Moss as he streaked down the field toward the endzone." Jets head coach Eric Mangini could not be reached comment." Just having a camera at all is a violation of league rules is it not? Interesting.

"Patriots video assistant Matt Estrella was stationed on the New England sideline when he was approached by league security officials and had his camera and videotape seized in the middle of the first quarter Sunday. A native of New Bedford, Estrella is in his fourth season with the Patriots and his third year as a full-time video assistant. He helps edit game and practice tapes for use by team coaches, scouts, and players" http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patr...aults_patriots/ So no, there will be no need for forfeiting that game and nothing in the second half of that game happened because of this camera shenanigans.

Cause that's just silly. Oh well, pretty disheartening developments here. I really want to hear their excuse for this. EDIT: FWIW Bob Lobel from WBZ news up here just reported that he spoke with the NFL: Offices and there has been no decision made on this situation yet, this was just minutes ago.
-
Exactly. There really is no real competitive advantage to this either because like was said above, teams mix in different signals so it isn't possible to read them. There has to be some other explanation or reason for this camerawork on the sidelines.

Shoulda started Minny D instead of Balty D and Palmer over Lienart
-
I too get all my games from Blackcats. Great site if you are able to keep your share ratios up.

uh..sure..whatever.. if 200 yards. 2 ints and a TD is "smoking" them.. I actually need Rudi Johnson to play well..but Ive got plenty of other options if he doesn't. Was not taking a shot at your Ravens Marvin geez. Was just being sarcastic because of my luck with Start/Bench situations. Believe it or not I like the Ravbens and always have. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are two of my favorite defensive players in the league.
-
I'm going with Leinart...which means Palmer will smoke the Ravens.
-
Is it me or are there ALOT of season ending injuries reported this afternoon. Seems a bit high. One of the biggest being Mike Brown
-
Ok, dillema tonight. Should I start Leinart over Palmer? Matchup wise Leinart looks safer but I also have Baltimore's defense going as well. I'm currently down by 22 points and my opponent has E. james and Rudi going tonight. I also still have Heap and Rackers tonight. I'm sorta leaning towards Leinart because Baltimore's D is REAL good and I expect to get decent points out of their D which would also mean Palmer won't be as productive. Both teams have stellar WR duo's also. Help!

I'm not hating, they lost alot on that defense that carried them through the playoffs. So yea, they do need to prove that they can be good with a bunch of new players. Bob Sanders being healthy sure as hell makes them alot better.

I won't say the Colts D is bad because they clearly aren't but until they prove something over a few weeks I ain't buying into them. Let's not forget if you look at their schedule they don't play anyone real good except maybe Denver for the next 6 games. Lovely schedule for the defending champs!
