David Thomas with a nice diving catch for his first NFL TD. Good day for the UT alum rookies.

Can ya put me down for all the underdogs?
-
I always thought the FG distance included the length of the end zone.

Even if the Drew deal got nixed(one could only hope) i'm comfortable with Pena and David Murphy in RF this year. I really would like Pena in CF and Coco/Murphy in RF but Coco doesn't have the arm for RF at all. Pena seems much more comfortable in CF than RF. The strikeouts are an issue but the 30-40 HR potential playing eveyrday makes up for it. He did gave a .349 OBP and .838 OPS in limited time last season. I don't know many teams that would mind that while giving up a bit of defense in the outfield. In fact from what I have seen Pena's defense, while bad, is not completely useless. He seems to either make really great plays or completely godawful plays.

I enjoyed the season actually, i'm easily entertained I guess Really looking forward to next season in Hollywood

Well if speed is an issue Spidey would never be able to keep up with said WR's you mentioned... I see him as a perfect possession/3rd down WR
-
Damon left because he got an offer that was never going to be matched by anyone, not to mention he has the chance to become a celebrity in yet another big(ger) city. There is nothing Johnny Damon loves more than himself. If the front office shenanigans was truly as digruntled as they portrayed to us all then Theo would not be there right now. All I was saying is that I can see why fans of other teams besides Boston and New York get pissy about those two teams when they both consistently whore themselves to the media. Theo is not the problem I was refering to Luccino/Werner/Henry and how they make everything a much larger media deal than it needs to be. Matsuzaka is huge news but the depths of the coverage around here is sickening already and it's totally team driven.

Spidey would be a sick WR. Garaunteed to never drop a ball. Vick could use him greatly
-
BTW I am truly sick and tired of the Red Sox front office injecting itself in the news all the time. The Theo crap last year was manufactured in my opinion to take attention away from the departure of a local hero(Damon) among other things. This year it's all their big money spending on free agents and the Diceman stuff. They love whoring themselves to the media and I am convinced they love seeing themselves on TV quite often as well. Joe Nathan, Minnesota Twins: "Stand Up and Shout", Steel Dragon Awesome A.J. Pierzynski, Chicago White Sox: "I Am (A.J. Styles)" lol Joel Zumaya, Detroit Tigers: "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)", Jimi Hendrix "Hollywood" Joel Zumaya Mariano Rivera, New York Yankees: "Enter Sandman", Metallica Winner

LOL @ Beckett as closer. *sigh* Beckett won 16 games despite having an ERA over 5 and honestly he had a decent first year in the AL overall. He did have quite a few "quality starts" that get forgotten because of the games he got absolutely bombed in. I believe he was so concerned about suffering from the blister issue that he was neglecting his nasty curve too much thus making him very one-dimentional. I would rather have him go all out and give everything he has and rish the blister issue leading to a DL stint or two in the middle of a long season. If we got 25 really good starts out of him with some missed time in between I would be content with that. Just make sure he's healthy come Playoff time. Let the rest of the rotation carry the load. If Diceman pans out for 15-18 wins, Schilling 15 wins, Beckett 14-16 wins, Wakefield 12-14 wins, and Papelbon 12-15 wins that is a helluva rotation. Throw Clemens in and ship Wake to the bullpen in July and watch out

"They had a blanket..." "You're an idiot."

If this bothers you, maybe Giles isn't the guy you want, either. I haven't seen much of him I just go by the numbers with him so if that's the case I retract my previous statement

You can't give up on rookies that quickly. I've seen Pedroia play often live and he has real talent. Tremendous plate discipline. He won't hit for much power, but all the Sox need is someone to get on base for the big bats. I understand, I saw him live quite a bit too living in Pawtucket and all I just think he was trying way too hard.
-
I admit, I did up until the HBO special and the tourgasm garbage. He's been exposed as a douche plain and simple.
-
Maybe if Pedroia could hit the ball out of the infield and didnt look like he was swinging with ALL his mght every pitch. I know its only his first MLB experience but he was awful at the plate and according to current prospect lists he isnt in the top 50.
-
Hey I thought that you thought that I was the worst
-
I would like to see Giles here in Boston over the Midget Pedroia anyday.
-
Would probably take a minor miracle for this Pats team to MAKE the Superbowl. * Especially since they just released Doug Gabriel...What a waste of a draft pick. He must have either asked for it or pissed someone off bigtime.

Ugh. Tuck rule meaning the play was called the way it was supposed to be called due to the rules established.
