No Terrell Owens in Super Bowl

Well at least in the case of the Colts game a couple weeks ago, the offense had just as much to do with winning as the defense did. Consider the fact the offense controlled the ball for nearly 38 Minutes thus keeping the ball out of Manning's hands most of the game.
  6. Link The FBI has triggered a massive manhunt for six people -- four Chinese and two Iraqis -- who may pose a terrorist threat to the city of Boston, law enforcement officials briefed on the threat said today. ADVERTISEMENT The six are suspected of having come into the United States from Mexico, and may have headed to New York and then to Boston, the target of a planned attack that could involve a lethal substance, possibly chemical or biological or explosive, three law enforcement officials briefed on the threat said. The tip about the threat was given to the FBI by only one person, the officials said, and it had not been corroborated as of this afternoon. "It's being worked aggressively and shared with our law enforcement partners,'' FBI spokeswoman Gail Marcinkewicz said. The state Emergency Management Agency has partially activated its emergency response team, with representatives from the Department of Public Health, the Department of Environmental Protection, and the State Police monitoring the situation in the emergency bunker in Framingham until the threat has passed. Meanwhile, the Associated Press is reporting that a federal law enforcement official has stressed the tip is one of many from around the country that routinely are forwarded to local task forces for further investigation. No credible, specific terror threat has been identified in connection with the tip about suspects possibly entering the country from Mexico. The AP said the investigation prompted Gov. Mitt Romney, who was in Washington to attend Thursday's presidential inauguration, to return to Boston later Wednesday evening, his spokesman, Eric Fehrnstrom said. The governor planned to hold a news conference in Washington Wednesday night to discuss the matter before returning home. FBI spokeswoman Marcinkiewicz said the terror alert had not been raised for Boston. The AP also reported among the law enforcement agencies alerted was the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, where Deputy Chief Paul MacMillan told the AP that an "alert bulletin" was issued to its officers, as well as subway, train, bus and station workers to be on the lookout for the individuals. "There is no specific threat or target indicated," he said, declining to discuss the details further.

    The OAO AFC CHAMPIONSHIP THREAD!!!

FOXBORO, Mass. -- New England quarterback Tom Brady had a 103-degree fever the night before the Patriots beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC championship game, Sports Illustrated reported. The magazine said in this week's issue that Brady had an intravenous line in his left -- non-throwing -- arm on Saturday night while fighting off chills in his Pittsburgh hotel room. In outdoor temperatures of 11 degrees, Brady threw for two touchdowns with no interceptions to lead the Patriots to a 41-27 victory and their third Super Bowl appearance in four years.

    Super Bowl XXXIX discussion thread

This game will be something like the Niners/Chargers Superbowl back in 1995. The Colts have a MUCH better offense than Philly, and the Steelers have a MUCH better defense than Philly, and the Patriots just humiliated those two at what they do best. Until the Pats lose, nobody should be betting against them. Even Sean Salisbury figure THAT out last night

    The OAO AFC CHAMPIONSHIP THREAD!!!

Just giving the Steelers a taste of their own medicine. Nice to see the Patriots embarass the best offense in history and the #1 defense in the league in back to back weeks. This team is unbeatable when it all counts.

    The OAO AFC CHAMPIONSHIP THREAD!!!

I love how it can never be that the Patriots just are better than these teams that they demolish. It's always gotta be "Oh they just didnt show up to play today". Just how many Championships does a team have to win for people to admit that there are no teams that are better than them right now?

    I love EA.

Well there's lots and lots of idiots runnin' wild on this big rock so you definitely have a point As for Redbaron, that's all subjective. VC has been improving their football games the past 3 years no doubt, but in my opinion, and majority opinions of consumors, Madden is still superior all around. I bought both games the past few years just to compare, cause i'm a sports game freak and have to try everything. This year was definitely the closest VC has come to EA in terms of game quality, but they just haven't perfected the Franchise mode like EA has...and I personally like the way Madden plays. The sportscenter highlight feature, and the compatibility with the HDD were BIG pluses for ESPN but after a while the highlights of other games got repetitive and there were too many glitches with the way Franchise mode was run.

    I love EA.

haha, that would be sad. I have a real hard time believeing that people won't but EA football if it didn't say Madden on the cover. Nobody buys it because of John Madden, people buy it because it's been the best football games for a very long time. Reputation means alot, a washed up coach/announcer means little.
