I got picked for a murder trial 2 years ago. I looked forward to the opportunity to send some obviously guilty kid to prison for the rest of his life, but unfortunately I was only a temporary contractor at my job and they wouldn't pay for my time off. The pay from the court would in no way cover my living expenses so I had to ask out. oh well, since then I am now a full time employee and they do pay for jury duty time so if I get picked again i'm all over it.

er...the games haven't started yet, and this is the playoffs after a long season, cant we give him a break and let him pick scores before the games start? I know I wouldnt have an issue with that... I just hate to see someone win by forfeit in the playoffs is all. No offense Chuck.

He never said he wouldn't let the Red Sox put the ball on display somewhere, but ownership of the ball is his legally and there's nothing at all wrong with what he is doing. In fact, I’d show it off myself. I was furious when I came home after lifting weights, and got all these messages, people calling my mom, my sister. It’s out of control. BN: Has anyone from MLB or the HOF asked about the ball? DM: Nobody. I mean, I’ve had two offers for it. And I heard form Mr. Henry today, though that’ll remain private. But nothing from the hall of fame or MLB before the article. I want the fans to see it. I kept it so that it’s in a player’s hands, not in some person’s who’s going to run away with it and never see it again. DA: Earlier Theo was on and said “Both you and Millar deserve to start, and he wants to make sure you do” Which implies that one of you will soon be traded, but he added he thinks Delgado needs to sign somewhere first to settle things out in the market. Do you want to play here and start? DM: Of course. Defending the title. It’s a dream job. My personal year was the wosrt I ever had, and I want to prove to fans I can do the job and show the kind of player I am. Thing is I love Kevin, he’s one of the best teammates I ever had, so it’s a tough situtation. BN: Doug I want to read a quote from LL: “We’re going to make a request for him to return it to us...etc etc” Did John Henry make that request? DM: (doesn’t answer the question directly) Of course I want fans to see the ball, that’s the main reason I held on to it. To me, it belongs in the stadium we brought it home to, not in the hall of fame lost with a hundred other things... I just wanted to clear the air... We have a helluva team coming back, and I’d look forward to playing in Boston in 2005.

Just reported on WEEI radio in Boston, Ty Law was placed on IR. He's out for the playoffs. He has definitely played his last game as a Patriot.

Auburn has ZERO argument right now. That being said I wouldnt say no to the chance to watch USC and Auburn play another game for bragging rights.

This is the type of game that definitely won't be decided by more than 20 points so no worries. I can't wait for this game, no matter who wins they will be UNDISPUTED National Champs in my opinion.

I've had this problem too, Doctor told me it's just Hemmoriods(sp?) and/or a tear/fissure. Kinda painful sometimes but you kinda just hafta deal with it as it won't completely go away...ever.

Poor chad. I'd love nothing more than to see the Jest(not mistyped) lose and miss the playoffs. Buffalo would be a good upset team in the Wild Card round then the pats could embarass Drew again.
