Is this really what this folder is for?

He is a WWE homegrown star and they take care of their own, this is the same company that got rid of Jerry Lynn while he was injured but they don't want to fired Test because they all of a sudden don't get rid of injured wrestlers. And he should have a job. Easily one of the more entertaining superstars in the WWE and he has still has potential to get better. We've gone through this before on this board. A-Train is both underrated and underappreciated. End of story. I'd laugh. But i'm not so sure you're not almost serious.

Did I just read that correctly? *RIC FLAIR* just talked down to *CHRIS BENOIT*. Now that's funny. Flair talking about how he's a better worker than Bret Hart, Mick Foley and Randy Savage is reasonably laughable as it is. But now he's talking about Benoit as if he's a young rookie just establishing himself who can learn alot from Flair. Flair is particularly dilusional, I have to say.

Brilliant song, but how is that acoustic? Yeah I've heard versions with only Thom and Jonny, but only on bootlegs... Well now, its not simply acoustic, but it does quite clearly feature an acoustic guitar and therefor does meet the criterion.

You do realise most of the examples given in this thread are not all that unusual. I mean, fair enough, if you only like one clearly defined style and want all the bands on a bill to sound identical to the band you paid to see, then of course you will be dissappointed if one of the acts varies ever-so-slightly in style. However, if you are a reasonably open-minded music listener then you should be able to accept that a band you go to see may be supported by a band who are of a different musical "style", but the same "genre" if you will. (As long as its not, for example, Dido playing second from the top at the V Festival this year).

Just out of curiousity, is anyone still defending Flair in all of this?

It was a combination of both. Shawn Michaels was booked to lose the title to Sid (who would then defend it against The Undertaker at WrestleMania XIII) and then job to Bret Hart at WrestleMania XIII. By suffering a life-threatening injury/losing his smile/being a dick, Michaels got out of two high profile jobs. The title was still switched to Sid (via Bret, and 4 days later than planned), who still went on to lose it to 'Taker. The only way Michaels screwed up the booking was that instead of facing Bret Hart, Steve Austin was put in his place, since they still technically had yet to resolve the Hart/Austin fued. The consequences of replacing Michaels with Austin in this match would, rather ironically, reap much greater benefits for the company than the Hart/Michaels re-match would have.

The point is he knew he was leaving. That's why he told him on the same day Hart found out his contract was getting breached. He didn't want to job to someone leaving to go to WCW. I love how you're trying to make Shawn Michaels out to be some sort of good company man.

I tend to make fun of people for their stupidity. In this case, however, it is more ignorance than stupidity, so i'll let you off.

I just think it's a weak ass excuse that someone fired by WWE isn't allowed to work anywhere else. I don't think it was anyone's intention to say that someone fired by WWE isn't allowed to work anywhere else. We were merely pointing out that the bad stigma of "WWE reject group" becomes attached to a company like TNA if the majority of their headliners are WWE rejects, and they constantly sign, and usually push, *every single* worker rejected by WWE.

Staravenger, i've already pointed out the difference between those who are "rejects" and those who are not. The majority of the examples you used were *not* "rejects". Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero all jumped from WCW to WWE. HHH in '95 jumped from WCW to WWE. Mick Foley quit WCW in '94. Hulk Hogan quit WWE in '93. Randy Savage and *especially* Kevin Nash and Scott Hall all jumped from WWE to WCW in the mid-90's. I'll grant you that Steve Austin was a WCW reject in '95 (although everyone involved has since accepted that was a mistake), Sean Waltman was a WCW reject in '98 and Davey Boy Smith in '99.
