The "former WWE star" was just watching the matches from what I've read in the spoilers. I dunno...I wanna see where this goes, though I agree that it won't bring any new viewers and I would've prefered for him not to be there at all.

I think just getting the name TNA Wrestling out there is good enough for them. Top 10 is just icing on the cake.

I agree. I mean, you can still emphasize tradition and the heritage the title brings, but it doesn't mean you can't get a spiffier looking belt.

Maybe it didn't come across well in your post, but you sound pissed off that people don't agree with your opinions. I haven't seen the match yet, but will and I'll judge it like I'll judge any wrestling match I see. I put my enjoyment first. I can't see every little slip up, I don't notice them all. And if I look for them, I won't enjoy the match.

I agree. 7-8 PPVs would be great, especially at 1 hour buildup each week. Love the video packages. I think this is gonna be a great show. The surprises are nice, but I think I read somewhere where the surprise is not the hype that Dixie was talking about. But then I read contrary. We'll see I guess.

Sting will hardly change the face of TNA. Damn.

With it being said as a person TNA is bringing in, I'm gonna bank on....Bret Hart.

The feud doesn't bother me much. I just want to see Raven get his rematch, whether it be against Raven or Jarrett. Good angle driven show last night. I thought Christian should've been saved for the ppv in his first match. That Sabu/Abyss thing at the end would've meant more if the announcers had actually been surprised that the ropes magically changed to barbed wire instead of acting like it's an everyday occurance. If they did that, I think it would've been cooler.

Just saw the show. Man, Christian's music is so good. A simple way to explain Abyss' fear of barbed wire is that he was disfigured as a kid trying to climb over a fence or something. Anyway, that Rhino piece was great, though if he could've not just read from a script it would've been better. Show was great angle wise. The wrestling that was there was good. Alex Shelly was hilarious in his match.

WMAC Masters...that takes me back. Anyway, I think the two divisions should be established clearly and only one division should be fought in by a wrestler at a time. For instance, AJ is in the X division right now. Let's say he doesn't have the belt and wants to go after the heavyweight belt again. Make it a big deal that he has to formally SHIFT, not move up, to the heavyweight program. And if Samoa was in the heavyweight and wanted to move to the X division, make it a big deal that Samoa is moving to the X division. It has to be kinda formal and clear cut, kind of like a mini brand extension, but not sucky.

I'm completely stumped as to what announcement it is. At first I thought it was a timeslot change on Spike, but she said it adds to the ppv, so I dunno. It's great that the rating is still the same. Well, it'd be better if it got better but at least it was the second highest viewership. Oh, yes, Dixie is a total MILF.

That's more the fans' fault though. TNA has a good product. They have great talent. They have a uniqueness. If they want those kind of fans that want "traditional" stuff with known wrestlers.....well, I guess that's why we had Jarrett and Nash.

The part about the ropes being tight is one of TNA's selling points about the ring when trying to explain the psychology of it. It's better for the X division guys when bouncing off them.

I disagree with the classes thing. I don't think there's a need to differentiate size. I want to see Samoa in some matches with the "lighter" X guys. Keep the 6 sided ring. There's no hinderance, it's different, and actually the fields in baseball are different in all stadiums. You got the bases and the pitcher's mounds just like you have the ringropes and turnbucks. But the field is unique just like this ring. Right now, Christian can be a huge huge babyface yet still act cocky, just like AJ. He doesn't need a stable, but it would be nice to see one to counter Jarrett's. Jarrett being gone for a while=thumbs up! Raven does need to go back to being just unstoppable and ruthless. I agree with that.

See, TNA got what they wanted. Which was media coverage. People thought it was stupid, but he's not wrestling and he's not Johnny Fairplay. The SI thing is really big.

*They opened the taping with a segment featuring the six-sided ring wrapped in barbed wire. Abyss and Jim Mitchell came out and got in the ring. Mitchell began cutting a promo, when the lights went out. When they returned, Sabu was in the ring and they had a faceoff. It was announced after the segment that Sabu vs. Abyss would open the Turning Point PPV. *In a segment that will be inserted into the 12/8 Thursday edition of Impact, Mike Tenay brought out AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, and Sonjay Dutt. The Chicago White Sox' AJ Pierzynski and Dale Torborg (formerly the Kiss Demon in WCW) gave a presentation to the wrestlers. Bobby Heenan was also there. The Diamonds in the Rough came out and Simon Diamond cut a great promo on the White Sox. He decked Torborg, leading to a big brawl. It was later announced that at Turning Point it will be Dutt & Sabin & Torborg vs. The Diamonds in the Rough in a "Basebrawl match" with Bobby Heenan doing commentary for the bout. *Outside, Don West was waiting for Raven to arrive. Samoa Joe walked by and had AJ Styles' name written on his wrist tape. Heenan arrived and said he was there because he was excited about the presentation "this Thursday." *They aired a video on 4 Live Kru: The Family. *Chris Sabin won a Four Way, pinning Petey Williams with a Cradleshock right after Williams had hit the Canadian Destroyer on Austin Aries. Alex Shelley was also in the match, debuting his new deal where he runs around with a video camera. *Terry Taylor interviewed NWA Tag Team champions America's Most Wanted. *Abyss pinned Tough Enough alumni Kenny King. Mitchell did a promo and Sabu came out. They brawled to the outside of the building. Abyss hit Sabu with barbed wire chair and chokeslammed him on guard rails. *NWA champion Jeff Jarrett came out and was interviewed by Mike Tenay. Christian came out and challenged the winner of Turning Point to a title match. Jeff Jarrett and Christian brawl. Bobby Rude hits the ring and scored with a Northern Lariat on Christian. As they brawl, Jackie Gayda arrives and slaps Jarrett. AMW come out and question Jarrett what's going on with Gayda. *Backstage, Larry Zbyszko tells Raven that there will be a surprise for him at Turning Point. *Samoa Joe defeated the returning Amazing Red. Shelley came out with his camera and got in way when Joe was doing the facewash. Joe wins with his choke. After the match. Joe chased Shelley to the back. *Konnan & Kip James defeated The Beasts of Burden. Bob Armstrong was out on the ramp as they exited the building. *In the back, Bobby Rude & Scott D'Amore cut a promo about Rude's match with Christian. Scott says he gave Christian a chance and now he will pay for what he did at the PPV. *NWA champion Jeff Jarrett & NWA Tag Team champions America's Most Wanted defeated The Natutrals & Jeff Hardy - Jarrett wins with the Stroke on Chase Stevens. AMW hit a 3-D on Douglas through a table. *They do a Rhino video feature *Christian Cage defeated Bobby Rude with the Unprettier. At the onset of the match, the referee was knocked out. Monty Brown hit the ring trying to hit the Pounce on Cage, who moved and D'Amore was hit. Brown Pounced Cage after the match. *Abyss and Jim Mitchell promo. Sabu came out. *The Diamonds in the Rough defeated Raven in House of Fun match after throwing him outside the ring through a table that was leaned against the railing. All three scored the pin. Zbyszko offered Raven his release before the match. Xplosion Matches: *Eric Young and Petey Williams defeated Sonjay Dutt and Lance Hoyt. *Matt Bentley defeated Roderick Strong with a superkick. *Rhino defeated A-1 with the gore.

For cheap plugs on Sportscenter?

Sure Spike could do more to promote, but this is the best time TNA has got in their history. They are behind the product and want it to succeed.

If this HOF is true, then I will be so happy. And it is great news that TNA went back to a .8 rating. Especially during the holidays.

I know, it's absurd that two gorgeous women are fighting over JJ, but I don't see any point in arguing over Jackie not playing Haas's wife. Everyone's a character when they step in front of the camera. It's wrestling, so it's not the biggest leap in the "suspension of disbelief category" that TNA can do.

I'm sure 4LK will end up being a split. They should do it where Kip and BG win some tags, but BG and Konnan/Truth loses some, thus having Kip convince BG that they're holding him back.

Good show, though wasn't enough good wrestling as with other episodes. Like others have said it was more story driven, which I guess is okay if you're going into a big ppv, which I think it could be. The Rhino package was great, if TNA could do it for some guys like Sabin, then that would give fans more reason to care about them.
