  1. Could this be a way to introduce Shane McMahon as the new "authority figure" on television? I think a possible storyline to take with this would be that Jonathan Coachman and Shane McMahon were behind it. Shane takes over Vince's role and Coach keeps his current role with a new person to suck up to.
  2. Wonder if they'll break out the ten bell salute for all the shows this week?
  3. He was so pissed at the Sopranos finale, he had to live out what he wanted to happen.
  4. It's the work of elves.
  5. I expected that as well. Vince won't job to God, he'll be back by next week with a black eye and tape around his ribs.
  6. So Vince McMahon can now claim responsibility for Gene's Hotline?
  7. Monty Brown gets another opportunity to eliminate himself.
  8. In-ring confrontation between Steve Austin and Vince McMahon to end the show?
  9. At this point, the best strategy may be for Smackdown to trade down and acquire more picks.
  10. Where the hell does that tuesday joke come from? Paul Heyman at the first One Night Stand.
  11. With the final pick, RAW will re-acquire Great Khali just to add insult to injury.
  12. Benoit vs Punk, Benoit vs Burke, maybe Benoit vs Cor Von then what? If done right, that's half a year of television right there. ECW won't last any longer than that, so they're set.
  13. C.M. Punk / Chris Benoit ECW title feud.
  14. I think Theodore Long wants to trade the rights to Chris Masters for Taro Tsujimoto.
  15. That's what I think. Snitsky is just CRAZY! enough to get disqualified. well, screw that then. Orton to ECW. Say what?
  16. That's what I think. Snitsky is just CRAZY! enough to get disqualified.
  17. I feel bad for those in the crowd that probably think he will be there in person.
  18. It's a video. Not an actual live appearance.
  19. The balance of power has shifted to Smackdown!
  20. I was able to understand "kickball", not much else.
  21. THAT went over well. Thank God they made room for that segment.
  22. Smackdown must feel like the New York Jets of this draft.
  23. Which is why I said they need to become a consistent contender. It takes time to build a fanbase and they have quite a while to catch the 98 years Montreal has had. They were ranked 15th in attendance this past season and with the capacity of the RBC Center they could only reach as high as 8th. Outside of Colorado, every team ranked eighth through fourteenth in attendance made the playoffs. Hardly anyone will pay to see a team that isn't in the playoff hunt, just ask fans in Boston, Chicago, Edmonton, and St. Louis.
  24. There's more support for the Hurricanes in Carolina than most think. Someone stated that back in '00, only two or three people showed up to see the Stanley Cup when it came through Carolina. Compare that to this past year, where the Cup garnered thousands of fans everywhere it was taken, and there is obvious growth in support for the team and the sport in North Carolina. What Carolina needs to do is find consistent success that will keep the fans interested. It didn't help all the new fans exposed to hockey throughout the '05-'06 playoffs when the team hardly competed for a playoff spot in '06-'07. If they are able to return to the playoffs next season and become a consistent playoff contender, the fanbase will continue to grow and the sport will start to thrive.
