The change wasn't that drastic. He just looks a little skinnier.

    NFL Week 2

I think the Panthers will be able to bounce back this week. They always are at their best when their backs are against the wall. Unlike teams like the Indianapolis Colts, the Panthers can't have the media behind them and succeed. They need for people to start to doubt them before they actually become successful. It's terrible if you're a fan, because you know you can NEVER be too confident in them. But, if they win that is all that matters.

    NFL - Week One.

Let's be real, Moss isn't in his prime no more. Too many injurys caught up with him. Can he still be a threat and a pro bowl WR? You damn right, but he certainly ain't the Moss I remember from the Vikings. People like to mention how bad Culpepper is without Moss, how about Moss without Culpepper? They needed each other. Randy Moss was already a star in Minnesota before Daunte Culpepper was even drafted, it didn't matter if it was Brad Johnson, Jeff George, or Randall Cunningham passing to him.

Frank Gore led my fantasy team to victory this weekend.

That was pretty cheap, NFL won't let CBS show the game past 4:15?

Loss of Steve Smith isn't even the problem, the offensive line just cannot stop John Abraham.

Panthers have really sucked thus far.

Notice to all fantasy football players, Steve Smith will likely miss the season opener against Atlanta.

    NHL 2006 Off-Season...

That would be cool as well, I would just like to be able to turn to OLN once in a while and see some hockey. Do they really need to show Survivor THAT often?

    Fucking Wisconsin

    Now that's a tough question.

    NHL 2006 Off-Season...

Yeah, I thought that was the best part of their playoff coverage. When there weren't any playoff games on a given night, they would usually show two classic games back-to-back. Alot of great hockey.

    NHL 2006 Off-Season...

I do wish they would actually show some hockey content throughout the offseason. We couldn't have season retrospectives for each team like the NFL does? A weekly show that highlights offseason moves and training camp? Classic hockey games? I would like to see OLN actually live up to the "Hockey Central" nickname they gave themselves.

    NFL - Week One.

I'll predict that DeAngelo Williams will be the Panthers' starter at runningback by their bye week. Probably won't even be due to injury, Williams will be so impressive in limited time that the coaches won't have any other choice but to put him in as the starter. DeShaun Foster will be traded at the end of the season and forgotten about. Keyshawn Johnson will make a major difference on offense. He and Jake Delhomme have already developed the kind of chemistry that made Delhomme-to-Muhammad and Delhomme-to-Smith such productive combinations. Johnson has looked great when he has needed to make a catch in traffic and has caught every pass thrown his way. That is just the type of consistency needed to take a little pressure off of Steve Smith. Drew Carter and Keary Colbert have both looked impressive as well. Carter, in particular, has alot of potential to develop into a solid #2 or even a #1 option in a couple of years. He is 6'3" and faster than Steve Smith. I also wouldn't be shocked to see rookie linebacker James Anderson put up some impressive statistics. He has already shown the ability to put pressure on the quarterback from any direction and will likely be used in a role similar to Thomas Davis' last season. Will Witherspoon = Overrated, atleast in terms of his importance to the Panthers' defense. The linebackers have looked just fine without him and if I had to point out one weakness on our defense, atleast from the preseason, it has been the secondary. I look forward to the season.

This is the NFL Preseason Thread

Offensive Rookie of the Year - Mike Bell (If he is the Broncos' starter, he'll rush for atleast 1,200 yards. No other rookie will come close to that.) Defensive Rookie of the Year - Mario Williams (Forget Reggie Bush, Williams has looked dominant early on. I'll predict that Williams will have more sacks than Bush has touchdowns this season.)

I like the fact that ESPN feels the need to show Young highlights after all of his games, and since the highlights aren't that high, they end up just showing a run on a broken play that most QBs would have been able to find someone to dump the ball to. Or maybe a long pass that does show impressive arm strength, but is often a pass that could have been knocked down or intercepted by a starting DB. They focus on the Vince and Reggie highlights like they're the best players ever already and we have to see every little thing they do. But neither is doing squat right now and it's the preseason at that! I just though their attitude about the signing of Collins sucked. It was like "Well Volek and Young have failed so someone needs to save the team." Agreed. I wouldn't be shocked if half of the NFL fans in the United States didn't know DeAngelo Williams returned a kickoff 98-yards for a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins last Thursday night. Also had nine carries for 41 yards against the Dolphins' first-team defense. ESPN wants to show Reggie Bush's run against the Titans, Matt Leinart, and Vince Young, they completely overlook most of the other first-round draft picks who have actually had successful preseasons.

Vince McMahon's speech after he bought WCW was on TNT and TNN at the same time.

Damn.................. It's sad that in twenty years Triple H will be in the exact same position. He'll only show up every couple of months to defeat some up-and-comer. Only person he'll ever job to is his daughter and maybe Shane's two sons.

It won't last long. People think Bill Parcell's attitude will make it easier to control Terrell Owens, I think it'll just make it tougher. T.O. won't listen to ANYONE. If Parcells takes the hard-nosed approach, T.O. will turn back into the spoiled child he always has been.

    McMahon DVD

It's not that far-fetched to imagine him being sad that WCW being gone, but from a business standpoint, how you do pass up that opportunity? WCW was dead and buried anyways because they lost their tv contract... it wasn't McMahon that killed it. Haven't you ever had a competitor at work or school, who you never really liked on a personal level, but enjoyed competing with them? Once you beat them, you get that feeling of satisfaction from winning, but then you miss the fact they brought out the best in you. Whoever that competitor was would have the opportunity to challenge me in the future. If Vince McMahon valued the competition he had with WCW, he would've allowed Eric Bischoff or someone else to purchase the company, rebuild it, and have another Monday Night War in the future. When you beat someone in a competition, most of the time you will say better luck next time. Vince McMahon beat WCW and then bought the company so there would never be a next time.

    McMahon DVD

Vince McMahon purchases WCW and then is sad because of the lack of competition? Personally, if Eric Bischoff was able to purchase WCW back in '01, I believe WCW would be better than WWE at this point.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

Not too bad of a shirt. I want to see a "Vince Likes Cocks TNA" shirt next.
  22. Chris Bosh hasn't even been that impressive. As for the team as a whole, I have been very impressed and I think they achieved their goal to make this a TEAM and not just a group of all-stars. Anyone else think the media actually overrated the scare against Italy? They make it sound like we won on a last second shot, but we were really the better team in the second half and had the win in hand for most of the fourth quarter.

    NHL 2006 Off-Season...

You have that much faith in Hannu Toivonen's progression to think he can carry the Bruins' to a playoff berth?
  24. Shelton Benjamin with four divas around him backstage may have been the moment of the night and the most character development he has ever had.
