    Worst Decisions?

Here's one: Drafting HHH to SmackDown! at the draft lottery, only to send HHHim back over to RAW, just to totally kill whatever momentum SD! had left after Brock left.

The OAO Nightmare on Elm Street thread

Bumped again. Does anyone know what happened in NOES 3 to Nancy's father? I heard he finally confronted Freddy, and Freddy killed him. What happened in that sequence?

    Sonic Mega Collection

Does anyone else here have this game? If so, is there a way to make Sonic & Knuckles compatible with Sonic 2 & 3? I can't seem to make that work. Is this game yet another letdown?

TOAO "Best" of Smackdown 2005 thread

Smackdown just plain sucked in 2004, and I predict that it's gonna suck more in 2005, unless some big name from RAW is allowed to jump over to Smackdown by McSenile, and freshen up the whole brand, and make it interesting, again.

    Edge

Bring back the Downward Spiral and the Figure-Four Edgelock.
  10. IMO, the reason why Eddie's title reign crashed abruptly is because he didn't have a top heel like Triple H to feud with, and help him make Smackdown! a success. Vince was so obsessed with making RAW better than Smackdown!, that he didn't even care about letting his son in law help Eddie on Smackdown! A HHH/Eddie feud would have done wonders for Eddie, IMO.
  11. I just got done watching the Bret/Backlund submission match, and I tell ya, Owen was such a great heel during the time period. The heel heat that Owen got was so insane, it had to reach HHH & Stephanie 2000 levels. After the match, when Owen stopped crying, dove into the ring, grabbed the towel, and left, the crowd in San Antonio, Texas immediately knew that Owen had swerved everyone. I remember hating Owen with a passion at that time, and wanting Bret to get revenge on him for what he did to Stu & Hellen Hart, and how he coaxed them into throwing in the towel to cost Bret the WWF Title. But, like I said before, the heel heat that Owen Hart got back then had to have reached Triple H 2000 levels. What do you guys think?

The OAO Nightmare on Elm Street thread

One of the freakiest scenes from NOES 1 was when Nancy was sleeping in Tina's room, and suddenly, Freddy started buldging out from the wall behind the bed. That segment just made me go, "whoa, shit!"

Bret Hart returns to the WWF in early 1999

On the next episode of Smackdown!, HHH was so pissed that Foley cost him the WWF Title against Bret Hart, he ordered that there be a tag team match between he & X-Pac against Bret & Owen Hart. He also ordered The Outlaws to defend their tag team titles against the Bulldog & Anvil. Later in the show, JR interviewed Mick Foley in his home in Long Island, NY. WWF Tag Team Championship New Age Outlaws def. Bulldog & Anvil to retain the titles Later......... Bret & Owen Hart def. HHH & X-Pac when Owen made X-Pac tap out to the sharpshooter. Bret and HHH fought and brawled on the outside, setting up a rematch on RAW for the WWF Title. On the next episode of RAW, Bret and HHH had the rematch for the title in which Hunter finally beat The Hitman to regain the title. The balance of power had finally shifted to the other side as DX now had control of the WWF Title. As DX celebrated, the Hart Foundation stormed the ring with foreign objects to clear the ring. Owen, Bulldog, & Anvil checked on The Hitman as Owen started shouting numerous threats at DX for what they did. On the next Smackdown!, the Hart Foundation was out for revenge has Bret Hart and X-Pac had a brief match in the SD! opener. HHH & Steph were punishing their charges for not getting The Rock fired in the handicap match on RAW. The match ended in a DQ when Bret's Foundation jumped into the ring laid a 4 on 1 beatdown on X-Pac. Later, Hart Foundation members, Owen Hart, British Bulldog, & The Anvil laid another beatdown. This time, it was given to Billy Gunn, as the Hart Foundation just decimated Mr. Ass. Later, as HHH defended his newly-won WWF Title against Rikishi, the Hart Foundation had struck again as the caused a DQ in the title match when they hit the ring and attacked The Game. As they simply destroyed Triple H, left the exclimation point on their destruction of DX when Bret Hart took the steel steps, and bashed Hunter's brains in with it, busting him wide open as Stephanie looked on in horror. The show ended with Bret taking possession of his former championship, and posing with it, before throwing it down onto the champion. To be continued...............

The OAO Nightmare on Elm Street thread

I'm bumping this thread, because I saw NOES 1, twice and it had me having trouble getting to sleep at night. Plus, I also just got done seeing Freddy's Dead, and it was pretty funny. I liked when they rolled the credits at the end, they showed Freddy's "Greatest Hits", if you will. I think it was a great retrospective of Freddy Krueger's evil legacy that he left behind. All in all, it was pretty cool. Now, I have to see if I can bring myself to watch parts 2-5.

Bret Hart returns to the WWF in early 1999

The next night on RAW, Triple H & Stephanie basically took over the show after Vince left the building in disgust. They booked matches for their own enjoyment, including a triple threat match for the WWF Title between Bret Hart vs. The Rock vs. Mankind. The Hitman retained the title by pinning Mankind. Plus, HHH & The Outlaws of DX defeated Owen Hart, British Bulldog, & The Anvil of the Hart Foundation. Bret Hart cleared the ring with a steel chair as he yelled countless threats at DX as they laughed, deviously. On Smackdown, the McMahon/Helmsley Era officially began as DX finally took over the WWF as they had promised, back in October. The main event was signed as The Rock challenging Bret Hart for the WWF Title in a lumberjack match. Before the match, Lillian Garcia interviewed the Hart Foundation. She asked Bret for his thoughts on the whole current situation in the WWF. The WWF Champion said that it was pretty ironic that all this stuff with HHH & Stephanie just happened 30 days after Stone Cold Steve Austin was run over by a car at Survivor Series. Bret said that Hunter & Steph both have some explaining to do as far as the Austin situation is concerned. The show then goes to break. After the break, HHH & Steph confronted the Hart Foundation, and constantly denied having anything to do what happened to Stone Cold. Bret doesn't believe them, and says that the Hart Foundation will get to the bottom of the whole Austin situation. WWF Championship-lumberjack match Bret Hart battled The Rock to a no contest when all the heel lumberjacks came in and started a schmoze. On the next RAW, Bret Hart defended the WWF Title against Kane w/Tori. The stipulation was that if Kane lost, Tori would have to spend the holidays with X-Pac. Bret tried getting himself DQ'ed, but HHH killed all that noise, real quick by declaring the match, no DQ. In the end, Bret Hart retained by pinfall, which meant that Tori would have to spend the holidays with X-Pac. On the next Smackdown!, a "changed" Stephanie announced that thing were going back to normal, and that only she was gonna make the decisions from now on. She announced a WWF Title match between Bret Hart vs. Mankind. WWF Championship Bret Hart fought Mankind to a no contest when DX interferred, and got HHH out of the cage that was hovering over the ring. HHH pedigreed Mankind, as Bret dropped out of sight. HHH & Steph revealed to the world that it was all a ruse to fool everyone. On the next RAW, The Rock defeated Mankind in a pink slip on a pole match. Mankind was fired from the WWF. Later, Triple H finally challenged The Hitman for the WWF Title in the main event. Just as it looked like HHH was gonna regain the title from Bret Hart, Mankind came out, and while ref was distracted, Foley nailed HHH in the back with a steel chair. This allowed Bret Hart to pin Triple H, and retain the WWF Title. As the show went off the air, The Game was ultra-pissed at Foley for screwing him out of the gold. To be continued..........

Bret Hart returns to the WWF in early 1999

In the aftermath of Survivor Series, HHH was uber-pissed. He led DX down to the ring, got on the stick, and verbally blasted Vince for screwing him out of the WWF Title, last night. HHH said that Vince committed a crime against DX, and they would make Vince pay for his crimes in due time. Vince came out and told DX not to worry about him. He told DX that they (especially, Mr. Ass) should worry about going to jail, because the authorities came from all the way Detroit to arena to interrogate DX to find out who ran over Stone Cold Steve Austin, last night. The detectives took DX backstage for questioning. Later, the new WWF Champion, Bret Hart, along with his Hart Foundation ran into Vince McMahon, backstage. They have a little staredown. Bret started off by saying, "I guess the war is finally over". He then thanked Vince for everything he did for him, especially last night. Vince said, "Think nothing of it, because I decided to make it up to you for what happened in Montreal". Vince & Bret shook hands, and Vince reminded Bret about his upcoming title defense against the Big Boss Man, tonight. He also said that Bret would defend the title against The Rock at Armeggeddon on PPV. Bret smiled, and thanked Vince, once again. WWF Championship Bret Hart def. Big Bossman to retain the title with the Sharpshooter. Prince Albert tried to interferre, but the Hart Foundation gave him a beatdown. Later......... Kane def. HHH with help from Vince McMahon, who sitting at ringside, color commentating. Vince & HHH continued their feud leading into the grudge match at the next PPV. One incident saw HHH marry Vince's daughter Stephanie beyond her will. Meanwhile, Bret Hart defended his WWF Title against all comers. Chris Jericho, Kane, Big Show, Viscera, Mankind, and others. Armeggeddon WWF Championship Bret Hart def. The Rock with a small package cradle after a near 30-minute classic. Afterwards, Bret & The Rock shook hands. Triple H def. Vince McMahon with help from Vince's daughter, Stephanie, who turned heel, and joined her husband, HHH. The McMahon/Helmsley era had begun, much to the shock of the entire world, the McMahon Family, and the Hart Foundation, especially Bret when he realized that he would have defend his title against The Game.
