I heard some of it two days ago. It's like he took every conscious hip hop stereotype and went with it. He just isn't trying anymore. So Finding Forever is to Common what Feedback is to Jurassic 5? Also, that cover could be worse; it could be the cover of Food & Liquor.

Agreed on both the guitar line in "Happiness is a Warm Gun" and "I'm So Tired." Though for some reason my favorite moment in the former is the faux-backup singers at the end. There's something fantastically surreal and absurd about that bit that makes me love it.

Wrestlers You Like as Wrestlers But Dislike as People?

Ken Kennedy. Not a strong dislike at all, really, but his rant regarding the Benoit/steroids stuff a couple of weeks back rubbed me the wrong way. -
The OAO "Funeral For a Friend" RAW Thread - 06/25/07

They're not even pretending to take ECW seriously anymore, I see. -
In the same vein, I remember hearing A Perfect Circle's bleak, dreary cover of "Imagine" on the radio years ago and wanting to punch something. I can't actually think of a single cover of a solo-era John Lennon song that hasn't annoyed the crap out of me, come to think of it.

I think my order thusfar is something like... 1. Hot Fuzz 2. Zodiac 3. Grindhouse With nothing else really standing out. I like Hot Fuzz and Zodiac pretty much equally, though.

Obviously its obvious Welcome to the department of redundancy department. Also, oh man I am almost remotely tempted to buy Vengeance now.

The Extreme Expose bimbos EXPLODE. I. Uh. Yeaaaaah.

Oh man, has Johnny Nitro always been breakdance fighting and I just missed it?
-
Man, Nunzio doesn't even get an entrance anymore.
-
.... well, that was anticlimactic.

So how many times have they done Dreamer vs. Thorn?

Boogeyman is just that fabulous. I couldn't help but just laugh when I saw him prove to be incapable of lifting the guy up and slamming him down on the first try.

I'm actually interested in ECW for the first time in months now that Lashley is gone and there's a chance for a real uppercard on that show (relatively speaking). I really, really hope they don't fuck this up.

Thelonious Monk - The Genius The White Stripes - De Stijl (which I have apparently been misspelling for like a year now, uh)

I do, but then again, I won't have any use for the Seattle Public School district's computers in a couple of weeks anyway.

Mero punching Papi Chulo once and then JUMPING FOR JOY was amazing. Also, I couldn't help but crack up at "... wait. Togo just got eliminated by Funaki! That is bullshit!"
-
Yeah, that's pretty much the same problem I have. At this point I automatically assume every movie Nicholas Cage signs on for is inherently awful, which is a pity because I really did like Adaptation.

Yeah, that was more my point than hugely bemoaning the loss of Milo; it's true that he hadn't really done anything of note for ages and yeah, you have a point regarding the character flaws (though I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on the "feelings" part given the massive amount of soap opera drama between like everyone in CTU and the fact that if they're distracted by that they'd possibly do more harm than good), but all in all the big problem I had with it was that it was just another pointless, stupid death that achieves nothing other than "oh shit Milo's dead."
-
But it was still a pointless "OH HEY SHOCK VALUE" moment that ultimately achieved nothing and only served to kill off a character who may have been doing nothing whatsoever but was at least remotely likable, which is more than I can say for nearly the rest of the entire cast at this point aside from perhaps Morris. Seriously, what did that achieve? Why would they even do that, because they're BAD PEOPLE and want to show that they mean business?
-
Milo Pressman, new candidate for "Most Pointless 24 Death Ever." My god, that was just insultingly stupid.

What the hell is there to not understand about Napoleon Dynamite? People playing that card for Donnie Darko I can at least fathom, but Napoleon Dynamite?

124. If you are Japanese and in a major promotion, you only have one name. You can use your given name or perhaps your family name, but never, ever both. How TAKA Michinoku got away with it the world may never know.

Is it just me or have they been "seriously considering" this for like two seasons now and it never happens?

TV deaths that pissed you off or upset you

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I finally caught up with the Shield far enough for and it was so powerful that it actually put me in a weird mood for an hour or two just because I was THAT pissed off over it. Not in the bad way, unlike Tony Almeida or whatever, but in the "wow, that was fucked up" way.
