    OAO Anime/Manga Thread

I almost think it's just to hook the SasuNaru fangirls. The ending theme is kind of evidence enough.

    OAO ECW Thread

There's something amusing about Marcus Cor Von walking RIGHT past a "Monty Brown" sign. And wow is his music ever terrible.

    Ah, I stand corrected.

Comments which don't warrant a thread

Since ECW doesn't warrant a thread, again; I always forget how excited Seattle crowds are for EVERYTHING because we get no wrestling whatsoever, as Bobby Lashley got a huge pop and Holly got lots of heel heat. Also, Joey Styles saying that this is Bobby Lashley's first extreme rules match in ECW EVER is hysterical since didn't he and Test just have one like three weeks ago?

    OAO Anime/Manga Thread

Yeah, I have that problem with him too. Like, his Ichigo feels like Johnny Yong Bosch voicing Kurosaki Ichigo instead of Kurosaki Ichigo himself.

Busting out the CAPSLOCK OF RAGE, I see.

    Admit It...

The Godfather. I still have no clue why. Also, just as inexplicably, the Headbangers.

TV deaths that pissed you off or upset you

Tony Almeida's death strikes me as the moment 24 has kind of jumped the shark for me. It's still a good show but it just hasn't been a great one since that moment. And Curtis' death was terrible and lame and at this point just feels like "oh, 24's killing off their supporting characters that even have a fragment of a chance of being as cool as Jack again." At least Curtis' death had a POINT, though, unlike Tony's.

    Let's edit bloated double albums

Yeah, that's always been my problem. Part of it is the terrible sequencing ("I Will" may not have as much lyrical depth but it's much catchier and it keeps my attention easier), but it also has to do with the fact that I never caught that it was about something more than just his mother, and I'll admit I've never listened closely to the lyrics. I'll give it another listen with that in mind later tonight.

    Let's edit bloated double albums

I've never really seen the appeal of "Julia," myself. It's nice enough but it's never really grabbed me, unlike much of the other songs Lennon wrote on that album. Like, I can see the appeal but it's never worked for me. As for "Rocky Raccoon," it could have been worse. It could have been "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da."

    Let's edit bloated double albums

I'm fond of both songs. "Goodnight" is another song that I was considering including but decided that it didn't really fit in anywhere other than as the final track, and I didn't really want to put it there. And I have to echo the sentiment on "Rocky Raccoon." I think it's one of McCartney's better songs on the first disc.

    Let's edit bloated double albums

I too will attempt the White Album, with one very slight difference being that I will include at least one song by every Beatle (which essentially means "Don't Pass Me By" got in by default). 1. Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey 2. Mother Nature's Son 3. I'm So Tired 4. Martha My Dear 5. While My Guitar Gently Weeps 6. Cry Baby Cry 7. Helter Skelter 8. Yer Blues 9. Dear Prudence 10. Don't Pass Me By 11. Sexy Sadie 12. Rocky Raccoon 13. Happiness is a Warm Gun 14. I Will 15. Blackbird So, about an even split between Lennon and McCartney with one Harrison song and one Starr song. "Back in the USSR" should probably be in there somewhere too but I couldn't particularly decide on where, and the same goes for "Savoy Truffle."
  13. Out of curiosity, has anyone seen his NJPW work? I'm wondering how it compares to how he was in WWE outside of, at best, tag matches.
  14. Yeah, I would have had pity for JAPW, oh, maybe two years ago when he was pulling this shit all the time THEN, but the fact that they not only keep booking him but give him the heavyweight title does nothing but make my opinion of them even lower.

    The Beatles' Solo Work

"Near-masterpiece" for Brainwashed would be a massive exaggeration for sure. Half of the tracks are incredibly forgettable ("Marwa Blues," "Pisces Fish"). I disagree regarding "P2 Vatican Blues" but I can understand why one wouldn't enjoy it.

    Favorite gimmick episodes

The episode of Scrubs that was done like an incredibly generic 80s sitcom. That was fantastic, especially the Janitor coming in, getting that "wacky side character the audience loves" response from the studio audience, and mugging and posing for the camera.

    The Beatles' Solo Work

Actually, two of his singles hit #1 ("Photograph" and "You're Sixteen"), and another three or four were in the top ten as well. That being said, he also hasn't had a single real hit in the last thirty years and hasn't had a Top Forty single since the 80s.

    The Beatles' Solo Work

I have Brainwashed, which I like for the most part (although the title track never impressed me so much). "The Rising Sun" is probably my favorite song off of it, though "P2 Vatican Blues" is pretty catchy too.

Best Ben Folds/Ben Folds Five songs....

The only song on Songs for Silverman I enjoyed, to my recollection, was "Landed," which was more than catchy enough to keep my attention. Everything else really bored me out of my mind.

    artists you don't get

I do not get the appeal of Sufjan Stevens. I find his music to be amazingly boring, and I like a lot of music that is usually classified by many as being boring. Could someone, anyone explain why he's like the golden boy of indie pop when it really isn't very hard to find people who are much better than him?

    'Get Smart' Movie gets cast.

So when's he gonna take a role in a kinda-serious indy movie? Oh, he's already gotten that out of the way.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Agreed. To me the major appeal of the Beach Boys are the vocal harmonies anyway, so instrumental tracks are just complete wastes of space.

    Kanye West Meltsdown

There's only one Lady Sovereign song I've ever heard. "Ch-Ching" or whatever. Between the terrible beat, annoying rhyming, and continual repetition of the song's title in the most annoying way possible, it may well have been one of the most annoying songs in the past year or so.
