To be fair, they outright admitted that the sketch in the last episode was not good at all, which is why they wanted to cut it.

Alright, "random" was a poor choice of words, but the delivery of that line was incredibly forced. In the context of the story, yes, the line makes sense, but any impact the line might have had was ruined by the delivery, which felt, yes, random.

So where does "YOUR BROTHER IS STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF AFGHANISTAN!" rank on the "HER FATHER IS THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY!" scale of really bad, overacted lines on network TV shows? But do either of those lines really compare to "They made you... SUCK...?" Really now. I agree that that line was really random, though. I actually liked much of the episode, but that line was really random as far as delivery goes.

The concept of the article is funny. The execution, especially in the length, mucks it up.

Yeah, the general consensus is that the Disgaea anime is pretty terrible. I've never seen it myself and I don't think I will bother with it after the reviews and all.

About damn time, really.

I'm not sure myself. At a show he was hosting at Bumbershoot this year David Cross brought out a copy of Jim Belushi's book about being a man or some bullshit like that and just made fun of it every now and then, and read an excerpt from it to boot. I honestly think that Cross just thinks that Jim Belushi is a shitty comic and so he makes fun of him, just like he makes fun of Dane Cook and Larry the Cable Guy.

Holy shit, is that Dawn from the UK version of The Office on the writing staff? Awesome.

Downey was also one of the big highlights of A Scanner Darkly, though he was playing a character there that's world's away from the kind of character Tony Stark is. I'm cautiously optimistic, actually.

Man, I didn't even think of that. Nicholas Brendon would work GREAT on this show. His delivery is perfect for this sort of thing.

They're doing this all wrong. "Embrace the confusion" should just be WWE's slogan from here on out, it shouldn't be wasted on something like Jeff Hardy's shirt.

My personal favorite Ryan quote from season two has to be "Kelly and I both agreed that we would both have fun, and I'm learning that fun for Kelly is getting married and having babies. Immediately. With me." The Ryan/Kelly subplot in general has been gold.

Poor Oscar.

I think it was just mostly intended as a surprise. Anything can happen in the Royal Rumble and all. Plus it was amusing if you watch a lot of Rumbles because usually the final four consists of three main eventers/uppercarders and the token midcard guy who goes out first. And this time it seemed that way and then Austin went out before Hennig did.

Head, meet desk.

Bret: vs. Owen, WMX Flair: vs. Steamboat, Clash of the Champions I am boring.

Yeah, that was insane. All that buildup for... eight minutes

I like Art Brut in general, mostly because they really are so gloriously, amusingly stupid.

Seconded. That and anything involving Orihime and Chizuru, both of whom better be great. I've got faith in Wendee Lee as Tatsuki because Wendee Lee usually does that sort of role well, but I c Also, the same guy who does Sasuke in the Naruto dub playing Keigo Asano in the Bleach dub makes me laugh my ass off for some reason. From bratty, self-absorbed prodigy to complete and utter schmuck. Beautiful.

Nope, it's not licensed. It really should be, though, because it's very fun. I'm nine episodes in and I'm enjoying it very much (plus it's really short, even by anime standards).

This is pretty much exactly what I would have typed up, except occasionally I listen to 89.5, which plays terrible dance music that I love for some reason, and 98.1, which is a classical station that I listen to when just looking for something relaxing to listen to. Still, I listen to KEXP about 85% of the time and I too stopped listening to 107.7 except for on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings at just about the moment they put the Adam Carolla show on in the mornings and started playing mostly bands that sound like Fall Out Boy.

I'd agree with this. Whilst I think that Ranma 1/2 ultimately has the best CAST of any Takahashi series, it's too bogged down with dumb filler (ESPECIALLY from like after the Hinako arc onward, where it became REALLY hit or miss) and the characters almost never progress or gain any sort of depth. I still haven't finished Maison Ikkoku, but the plot there progresses at a rational pace and is fun to read through. Plus, Yotsuya is awesome.

"Theme from Three's Company."

I've never had a problem getting main stage passes myself, but on the days where I really give a damn I'm normally there within the first hour to do so. That being said, this year's lineup is weak. I'm interested in seeing Kanye, Blue Scholars, Common Market, A Tribe Called Quest, and Mon Frere and that's about it. I'm probably just going to go on Sunday, which would make it the first time I've only gone on one day in years.
