I hadn't even heard of this movie he was in until Thursday when I saw a review of it in the paper, so it's not like anyone expected it to be anything other than a bomb.

I don't know what's sadder; the fact that Boll keeps getting work or the fact that Ron Perlman would sign on for this crap.

My favorite period was the summer of '03 where they ALWAYS had at least one good, interesting match every week that they consistently built up to. Everyone was motivated and it featured one of the best booked battle royales I'd ever seen (the lucky thirteen gauntlet that made Chris Daniels look like a threat by having him in nearly the entire match despite already having wrestled a ten to fifteen minute match about five minutes before it started, started the split between Kash and Abyss, and set up Raven's victory perfectly and got him a direct, one-on-one victory against Shane Douglas, who he was feuding with at the time).

Wow. That was a good show. There were sound issues, but everything had its purpose (except, debatably, Shark Boy vs. David Young but that was fun and energetic so I don't care) and I am REALLY looking forward to Raven/Abyss (and Raven and Mitchell not only bringing up past events but continually trying to one-up each other on the mic was very fun). I honestly think I might order No Surrender if I can get the money together. I'm really excited by TNA's direction right now, and I haven't felt that way since like August '03. I just hope this isn't a case of too little, too late.

... Well. That's stupid and petty. I mean, I'm as sick of the Katie Holmes/Tom Cruise bullshit as the next guy but WB's source sounds like a jilted ex-boyfriend. "We don't need her! We're getting a much BETTER actress and she'll be sorry she ever got engaged to that guy!"

Pretty much, but compared to the other two RoH champions so far (Low-Ki who dropped the belt in his V2 defense against XAVIER, and Xavier who won the belt because they knew that an undeserving smarmy punk would draw good heat from the RoH fans), that's not such a bad thing.

I remember Shawn Daivari making a post about Chris Benoit and Rob Conway's warm-up regimen that they go through every day they wrestle; FIVE-HUNDRED Hindu Squats. Obviously the both of them have CRAZY endurance and leg strength. Daivari, meanwhile, managed to do about four-hundred though the last seventy-five were killing him. This led to him pissing out his own broken down muscle fibers that somehow got into his kidney the night where Raw aired from the UK (I think).

Most definitely. He's working OVW too.

Without Goldilocks and that Baby Bear crap and Scott D'Amore booking? Doubt it.

I thought the "Saturday" in question was NEXT Saturday in RoH, where he's facing Austin Aries for the RoH title (which, humorously enough, is their annual Death Before Dishonor show, where Paul London did the exact same thing two years ago).

I can top that. Three-person announce team. Romero. Grisham. And the announcing antichrist... Ivory~! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought Lita was the announcing antichrist... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How soon we have forgotten Ernest Miller... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ernest Miller isn't even nearly as bad as Ivory was. Ivory was absolutely BRUTAL.

Test? The only time he was ever over was in 1999, maybe. He was a decent wrestler at best and subpar on the mic most of the time.

Everyone talks about legit toughs. what about.....
Mecha Mummy replied to Damaramu's topic in General Wrestling
Point, but then again, once Waltman and Bulldog managed to get into the fight, they both did fine. And Michaels has a history of losing in fights or wussing out of them. -
Well, it's a story where the entire Marvel Earth is apparently completely remade. It kind of makes sense. I mean, it's a total sales thing, but as tie-ins go they're a lot less obnoxious than the Disassembled ones from last year that had NOTHING to do with Avengers Disassembled.
-
New Jack... hm. He can cut an intense (if insane and rambling) promo. That's about it.
-
Considering that they used "Walk Idiot Walk" by The Hives last year, I think the guy who chooses these themes has an odd sense of humor.
-
It was explained earlier in the thread. It's to further the ECW angle.
-
It's an amusing little gimmick that goes over really well with younger fans, and when played off of a good straight man (such as Lance Storm or The Rock) it makes for some good comedy.

I think this was the first full WWF show I ever watched. And I kept watching. So it did SOMETHING right.

I'm pretty disappointed at the death of Velocity. Heat I don't care so much about, but the loss of Velocity means that cruiserweights have even less of a chance of actually impressing and getting a chance to shine.
-
It's unknown. Of the notable or semi-notable Spidey villains yet to be used, Electro is a possibility.

107.7 The End... 1: Audioslave - Your Time has Come 2: Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc 3: The White Stripes - Blue Orchid 4: Transplants - Gangsta's & Thugs 5: The Bravery - An Honest Mistake 6: Killers - Somebody Rock Me 7: Oasis - Lyla 8: Social Distortion - Death or Glory 9: Mike Doughty - Looking at the World From the Bottom of a Well 10: Beck - Girl Gorillaz' staying power on 107.7 surprises the hell out of me since they've been on the countdown since March. Seattle really loves Gorillaz, I suppose (not TOO much of a shock, I guess, since Clint Eastwood dominated the countdown back in the summer of 2001).

You know. I had pity for Matt previously, but now he needs to shut the fuck up and move on. Jesus Christ. What the hell did he expect them to do, keep attempting to push Lita as a face when the crowds were continually tearing her to shreds?
