Am I missing something here? I'm pretty sure ALL of that was before Russo sans Arquette...
-
This is basically a one-match card. Shane/Douglas has the potential to be good assuming both are on, but Styles/Raven is the only sure bet. I'm not sure if it's really worth the money, though.

Who is co-hosting a blasé show with a blasé co-host, TODD GRISHAM.
-
This is true on both counts. I guess Rude's like Team Canada's David Young or something.

Dennis Knight: A Brooklyn Brawler for a new age. I wouldn't mind him in a very small role, but I'd sooner see younger talent get hired rather than Knight, no matter how nice a guy he seems to be.

What? ... WHAT?!? OH JESUS CHRIST. *Slumps in seat.*
-
He's worked a TON of WWE dark matches and Heat/Velocity tapings. He's apparently quite good, but I haven't seen him in a long match so I dunno. He looked decent from the jobber squashes, though.
-
Ah, but that wouldn't be the Honky Tonk way. Seriously, you expect something coming out of his mouth to be civilized and proper? Dude's rather pissed at everyone and everything these days.
-
While Honky's a bit, oh, bitter and perhaps slightly insane, he has a point in terms of Flair doing the same spots over and over. I like Flair, and he's put on some great matches, but I just sort of groan when he does the top rope flip in every goddamn match despite it not working about 99% of the time.

Seriously. They should let the finalists choose what their farewell song is. I liked John, but he was in no way deserving of being in the final six. I liked him when he did King of the Road and on movie week, plus his audition and Billy Joel renditions were serviceable, but he had way too many bad weeks to last longer than Amy or Jennifer.

I've seen the first arc/some of the second arc. It's generally funny stuff, with a solid plot to boot. Amelia's father is like my favorite minor character in the series. "PACIFIST CRUSH! KINDNESS TO ALL CREATURES KICK!"

Spanky is the man. That is all.

I became relevant and important for like half a minute. Good times.

Actually, apparently Horshu/Max Impact is also a really good mic worker, but still a mediocre wrestler.
-
Franz Ferdinand may be the most over-hyped pile of cack I've heard this year. Nice to see even Marillion placed higher than them in the chart, so there's still some hope. Eh. I don't hate them as much as I do Muse.

Didn't make it past the callbacks.

I have nothing against O'Haire. His placement in the semi-main of all things is bizarre, though.

Sakoda isn't a cruiserweight. All it takes is one look at him to determine that. And I'm having a sinking feeling now that I remember that they're trying to bring Jeff back...

Wrestlers where their debut televised matches were
Mecha Mummy replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
... Wait, WHAT? You might be thinking of Jazz, who debuted at SurSer 01 (which also answers Superstring's question, yay). -
Orton/Shelton, Orton/Edge, Christian's Challenge
Mecha Mummy replied to Zack Malibu's topic in The WWE Folder
I heard someone compare Christian to Gedo once and that's a pretty good assesment. He's CAPABLE of having good matches agains the right opponent, but his offense is so horrid and he stalls so much that it's hard to buy him as a main event guy. He's doing much less restholds now (though still a lot of choking), but he needs to put together a good mix of offense if he wants to get anywhere. He certainly has the charisma and to a lesser extent the look to be a major player, but it's hard to take him seriously. -
This looks better then the Smackdowns from the past couple weeks... only because it didn't cause any form of brain damage. *Sigh.* Oh, well, Raw in a few days or so....

Okay, saw everyone... - Shockingly enough, Diana WAS the best for what has to be the first time EVER. This was her night, as she was the only one who really adapted to the style. Bravo to her. - Jasmine and LaToya were both decent. Not good, not bad. Just decent. - Fantasia... Ugh. Ripper, not even you can defend her this time around. Solid performance, but the singing was fucking awful, the worst she's ever been. - John... Double ugh. You knew this was going to be a wreck, and what a wreck it was. This may be his final week, and now I'm wishing he was gone two weeks ago so he at LEAST would have gone out on a good performance. - George... Blech. I love how Paula was practically forcing herself to compliment him so she just started rambling, saying stuff like "And you're so infectious... and you're smiling... and you're trying... and yeah, it was nice." He absolutely should not be here, neither should John really. I can't believe Amy Adams and Jennifer Hudson are gone and George and John are still around. Bad night. Bad, bad night, that Diana on her lonesome couldn't save. Especially since Gloria Estefan is no Quentin Tarantino or hell, even Barry Mannilow.
-
I haven't heard him from tonight, since I most likely won't watch, but he's been terrible the past two weeks. He's nowhere near as good as LaToya, Jasmine, Fantasia, or even Diana.

Excel Saga is hilarious, though some of the jokes require knowledge about anime to get. Still, my favorite comedy anime series ever.

The manga is really good. The anime has a good first season, a good second and third season, and then everything after that is mostly terrible with a few good moments here and there. Really gimmicky, though.
