WWE pulls Lawler from MLW Wargames
Mecha Mummy replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in General Wrestling
Well, the War Games match just got a little bit better... -
I discovered Three's Company when Nick at Nite put it on reruns and immediately loved it. Ritter was a great comedic actor and it sucks that this happens right after he has another hit show.
-
You daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn right.
-
Probably. Then again I don't see anyone saying that Charlie Haas or Shelton Benjamin suck. Actually, there WERE people here saying that they sucked early on. Oh, and how many of you "Boring Generic Wrestlers" people have actually seen them wrestle other than in jobber squashes?
-
Well, we all know Daffy Duck will beat the living shit out of Goldberg, so it's all good.
-
Gaming with Stevie would be fun...

Beer Bad owns everything else in terms of sucktitude.

Yeah, Cena's music rules without the background crap. Thanks much, yo.

Eh. All things considered I got sick of Garguilio and Corino at times. There's such a thing as having too much fun on commentary. D'Lo and Coach did, and to a lesser extent Corino and Garguilio did as well. Otherwise, they were pretty good. JR and Lawler seem to be decent announcers when paired with anyone other than each other. For evidence of that, look a the JR/Heyman and Lawler/Coach tandems. INFINITELY better than JR/Lawler. They need to throw Coach on Raw either replacing Lawler or as a third commentator because GOD, do Ross and King suck now. Cole and Tazz have evolved into a very listenable commentary team. Tazz is very good and Cole is quickly improving from the peice of crap announcer he used to be. Mike Tenay and Don West, in my opinion, are currently one of the best teams out there. Tenay's a great PBP man and has earned his nickname "The Professor", and West's excitement is great. His knowledge of wrestling and moves and all that isn't so great, but here's a guy who loves what he sees and wants everybody to love it as much as he does. And he's definitely not the same Don West who just went "Wow, look at that move, guys!" He's actually made some astute comments on what's going on (Most notably saying that AJ Styles probably tapped out quickly in the second match of their best two out of three series to save his strength for the last one). I can't judge Coachman because he's turned heel and stuff and I haven't gotten a good sample of his heel work yet.

"I'll walk through hell if I have to... I'll walk though Nashville if I have to!" ~ Raven on NWA-TNA a few months back.

My question exactly...
-
That's exactly what we need, actually. Music and TV don't have their own Raspberry Awards...
-
Well, now TNA has an excuse for seriously underusing him...
-
PUNISHMENT? Jack, considering that the Shark Boy thing was pretty fucking hilarious all in all, you should shut your talentless mouth and be happy about, you know, actually collecting a TNA pay check unlike wrestlers with actual wrestling ability. Oh, well, he's gone now. God, I'll miss him so. *Rolls eyes*

They shot themselves in the foot by going "It's US vs. The World", because that IMMEDIATELY made it obvious that whoever the US guy who made it to the finals was would win.

I just started watching Yang vs. Dutt... and is it just me or is Styles getting worse? -
What is your favorite WWE PPV theme of 2002?
Mecha Mummy replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
"Fight" was such a brilliant, perfect theme for so many of the matches on Summerslam. So I vote for that. -
Oyez, oyez, MLW's on the Sunshine Network. ... Um, that's all I know.
-
Oh, wow. Now THIS I gotta get.
-
All right, cool. Thank god I'm not the only one who disliked that.
-
Dear god, for once I was actually a harsher critic than you on almost everything other than the opening match. Were you feeling generous tonight or something? (Of course, I still don't get or like the finish of Hart vs. Juvi, so that might have something to do with it.)

Actually, a columnist on 411 had a lot of evidence that Bossman was behind the briefcase. No Corporation member was allowed to interfere in Vince/Shane vs. Austin. Bossman was kicked out on Heat. Then he was re-inducted on Raw without any mention of what happened. Thank god for Russo's thorough booking, ne? Oh, and as for the WWE's explanation... Jesus Christ, this company gets worse every week.
