First thing I thought of with this thread: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3Tlb6ECPs0 DCLuigi is awesome. Does the best Chris Walken impersonation I've seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8hXKXtzQns Why post that? Because it's more clever and entertaining than the idea of this sitcom. I mean, really, they must be really desperate. EDIT: Crap, embeds don't work on this forum. Ah well. Click the damn links, ya lazy folk.

Is it just me, or did Sanjaya really want to go home? He looked disappointed that he stayed.
-
We definetly have different tastes. I think he's definetly cute, and what he may lack in appearance, his personality more than makes up for it. Then again, the whole AI group is as bland as white bread; maybe in comparison, he's a shining star. I stopped watching after Chris. Mainly due to having FFXII on pause upstairs, with only a few hours left to play it (PS2 FTWii...okay, I'm done squeeing.) Sonjay is cute, but goddamn, does he WANT to leave? He hardly seems to try. At All. I think he wants to be sent home, but not outright quit. I loved Paula trying her damndest to say a compliment to his performance and Simon calling her on it. As for Sundance..I can't stand the bastard. He gives off the asshole white guy vibe. Yet he'll stay for the finals somehow. Pfft. Randomness: anyone catch that new Foxworthy show? He was on AI, though it was a pretty pointless appearance, unless he did some stand-up or something.

Wow, that's gotta suck. -shrug- Having recently re-acquired a PS2, and after learning about the greatness that is Swap Magic, I'll be busy for a while. I could care less about the PS3 right now, save for the amusement I acquire whilst reading these threads.
-
I can see where you're coming from. But, if people want to buy a new system at launch, and they can afford it, well it's their money. What I don't get is the insane obsession for it. Like, all the crazy stories surrounding the PS3 launch. -shrug- Speaking of the so-called "outdated" PS2, any recommended games? So far, I'm planning to acquire Kingdom Hearts II, Resident Evil 4, and Final Fantasy XII. This'll be my second PS2 -- on my old one I played FFX, Psi-Ops, KH1, and BloodRayne I/II.

As much as I absolutely adore and fangirl Will Ferrell, I gotta say, Emma Thompson was really the stand-out. As an occasional writer myself, her depiction of having zero creativity was flawless. I loved her asking the nurse and getting miffed and frustrated when she couldn't find EXACTLY what she sought. Queen Latifah was great in her small role; it was weird seeing her with Ferrell in such a deadpan manner. I look forward to the dvd. Fökai, if you have an extra copy...

This is not a post for me, but rather for mum. Our very old HP is dying. We've had it for, I think, four or five years now. So she's shopping for a new one. Computer shopping is confusing for her - she just wants a basic-basic type of comp - so of course I'm doing it for her. We've decided on a Dell. At the site, even the most basic of computers come with Windows Vista pre-installed (I'm looking at two possibilities for her, Dell Dimension E520 and E521) with no way to change this. She doesn't like change, and just wants to stick with Windows XP. If the computer doesn't have it automatically, we'll have to buy it (or, acquire it through, uh, other means. arr, mateys!) How hard is it to install? And, is it hard to uninstall Vista? Do note that neither of us, save for crashing/reformatting a computer, have uninstalled/installed an OS.

Oh good grief, now Ryan is starting his shit. It seemed like he was trying to start drama with all the contestants. Simon is awesome, and I love it.
-
Ryan interrupted Simon for something, Simon called Ryan a sweetheart for some odd reason (Ryan actually appeared pissed, a bit overly dramatic). Anyway, Simon got on Chris about the voice and I think being off-key... Chris said something about that's what is popular right now, and he enjoys singing it, then he dogged Simon about teletubbies and something else. Simon quieted down and definetly appeared pissed.
-
First the 'sweetheart' comment, then the teletubby zing... ooh that was great.
-
Chris bringing...THE TALENT~!
-
The guy was cute, but I think he just wants to go back to his sister. He looked like he slept through the performance, just whispered through it. But, yay Chris!!! In non-relatedness, our news station really sucks. It's always scare-shock crap. Tonight it's "OMG, if you own a portable gaming system" (and they show only Nintendo) "a pedophile can contact YOUR CHILD!!" ...Really annoying.

Paula's "Oh, WHATEVER!" is so funny on so many levels, none of them right.
-
Everyone has really bored me so far. Noone's memorable. I'm glad they're being more critical. Leave Paula to place nice-nice, but who cares? If the people suck, they need to be told as much. Timberfake sucks. He's over-reaching.

This would be easy if she had an XP CD... and I don't know how well that will work on a burned copy. Or, it's possible if she has one of those recovery disks from the HD manufacturer. But, those can be a pain with XP... Just boot from the XP CD, and you have the option to delete the partition. I still suggest she shouldn't do this. Then, she'll have to play with drivers and such. We have an XP format disk for our old computer, the XP OS. Could we boot from that? Personally, I'm rather curious to see how Vista is. But, my mom is one of those middle-aged types -- don't like change, like things kept a certain, etc. She also has no patience for shopping around for a computer. We've ordered one from Dell with the basic Vista. I figured if she doesn't like it, we could reformat with XP -- well, hopefully. ^^;

...With all respect intended, and I do mean all respect meant, you might want to correct your spelling before calling someone else's intelligence faulty. I say that not to be insulting, so please don't take it as such. Now this makes sense. Yeah I'm probably contradicting my earlier statement, but I agree with both.

House M.D. I will personally upload episodes for you. Yes, it is that good. As for that site...care to provide linkage?

Thanks for all the help guys -- I really do appreciate it I haven't been down to the pawn shop yet to buy the PS2. Thusly I've been on eBay, hoping to find a good system. Sure I find some good prices...that is until the auction closes and the prices SPIKE WAY UP. >.<;; It's rare to find an auction for a ps2 that accepts money orders. Not to mention the pricey shipping... Yes, it's warranted, but if the auction ends at $115, and the shipping is $30, why not go out and buy a new one? Goodness. Stupid people. I felt the need to rant. -deep breath- I might just blow the extra $40 and get a new one. Any problems with the new Slim version? I figure that's all the stores would carry now-a-days. The system worries me. It's so...tiny; looks like a feather bumps it and it's fucked... Yeah, I won't be able to do the HDD back-up trick, but ya win some ya lose some, I guess.

Citrus has a point, actually. The correlation between one comic ripping off another, and downloading a film, are rather identical. For the record, I've not seen either comedian's stand up act. I lurk around the thread just for the comments posted.

I had something like this happen. My laptop would start up, and after logging on Windows, I'd get an error message saying some .exe had performed an illegal operation (the .exe was for my wireless card; I forget the name). Anyway, though I could see icons, it would take at least ten minutes to access anything. I could get to task manager, but not load up anything. Eventually, I gave up and reformatted. I'm thinking that's what your friend will have to do.

"You're going to see a lot more of us" was repeated far too many times. I can't believe Sundance was picked. His group singing was just... screechy shouting. And what he said to the guy who lost. "Hey, you can be my bodyguard!" ...Fuck, what an ass.
-
I love this guy, Chris. I really hope he goes far.
-
"SHUT UP!" ...why did that become a term that's not offensive?
-
yay, my Dork got through!!

Group night in a half hour? Maybe if they hadn't spent so much time on shitty auditions... ;
