Credit: Lords of pain.net On Monday, due to it being a day before New Year's Eve, the WWE will be showing a Best of WWE 2002 special in place of Raw. The offical matches that will be shown on the special as of right now are: The Rock vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan from Wrestlemania 18 Kurt Angle vs. Edge from Backlash 2002 Bubba Ray & Spike Dudley vs. Jeff Hardy & RVD vs. "Y2J" Chris Jericho & Christian vs. Kane in TLC 4 from the October 7th edition of Raw Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero in a ladder match from the September 26th edition of Smackdown The Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy in a ladder match for the WWE Undisputed Championship from the July 1st edition of Raw Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Kurt Angle from Summerslam "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H in a street fight from Summerslam The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Undisputed Championship from Summerslam Credit: WWE.com Backlash, WX8, Summerslam (3matches).....shows ya right there what kind of year WWE has had in terms of PPVs. Rey vs Kurt........HHH vs HBK......Rock vs Brock...... Anyone see a pattern in those Summerslam matches? Hmmmmm.....could it be actual BUILDUP?! Dude, what were the writers NOT smoking when they made ths SSlam card?!

The band is called Peroxwhy?gen ........ interesting name. http://www.peroxwhygen.com/ From the site: Jeff's matches may have gone down the toilet, but this band actually sounds interesting. Interesting lyrics they've created..... They also have "Burnt Page"..... but I didn't want to make the post too long!
-
Of course right! I think.......
-
You almost typed Shanny? He started to get crowd reaction when he was paired up with Shane....but, of COURSE, the WWE had to go and ruin that..
-
A more recent example of "tough love" would be HBK/Nash (nWo Kliq) and X-Pac/Big Show (nWo Jobbers...see how it works?). Big Show lost a match, so HBK gave him SWEEET CHIN MUSIC~!....but, Slow was still in the nWo. (poem! ) I'd have to go with "tough love" instead of a feud. Mainly because Shanny really hasn't had proper TV time to get him over as a heel or a face. Perhaps a feud later on.....but it's too soon for right now. Edit: If I call him Shanny.....well, it's a force of habit. I've Roleplayed Shane with my gal pal, who RPed Shanny, I don't know how many times.
-
EXACTLY!! The surge of pretty boy bands has run it's course....which is why it's perfect to reform them. Noone wants to see them, just like a certain champion (need I say whom?) soooo....the crowds can either do one of two things: a)boooooo b)play dead.
-
It's kinda funny how this team JUST DEBUTED, and you're already buying into it. It has barely begun, let alone left anything noteworthy. Sure they attacked after the match was over..... that does NOT mean they're the best ever.
-
I do NOT mention the hotties in every thread, thank you. And I'm not joking when I say 3 Count's music was good. I actually like it, FYI. As for being in groups.....well, it makes sense for guys like Shanny, Kidman....you know, the guys that have good in-ring skills, but not very good mic-skills. Raven being run-down? Good. He's EXCELLENT on the mic, in my opinion, so he'd obviously be the leader of the group, thus, not having to wrestle much.
-
I didn't mean goth as in Ministry/Phenom...... I meant goth as in Raven-goth. Make sense? Just figured I'd point out that Shanny and Jeffy are EXTREMELY slashy together. Okay, I'm done I don't know why, but Knoble seems out of place there. Prolly 'cuz he ain't as pretty as the other two! HA!! But seriously, I think Hurricane would be better suited for a ladder match instead of Knoble.... or hell, just put all four in a ladder match, give 'em about 20 minutes, and JUST LET THEM GO, BABY! You just took all the fun out life.... *pouts*

Best portrayal of wrestling in a movie......... Well, almost any action movie has some "hollywood fighting", which I consider pro wrestling anyways. The "fight" between Austin Powers and Mini Me in Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me, was......interesting. It was your typical big man/little man squash.....'cept the lil guy (Mini Me) was squashing the big guy (Austin)!! EDIT: Heeeeey, I'm on Velocity now! I'm movin' up in the ranks!
-
I only said FLock because I think the Powers That Be are pushing for it. What else could Raven's "Masterpiece" be? Speaking of Raven, even though he goes to RAW next week, I seriously hope they continue with his "7 Sins" segments.....those are.......interesting.
-
Noone cared about 3 Count? Hmmmmm...I'd have to disagree on that one. Okay, okay, NEW PLAN FOLKS!!! Hurricane stays the Hurricane....BUT moves to SD anyways.....cuz I said so! Matt continues his singles push.... BUT SHANNY NEEDS SOMETHING TO DO!!! Oooooooh.....you mentioned the Flock......GOOD IDEA!! Shany could SO TOTALLY be a goth! Because he was in the group, Raven could handle all the mic work. Thus, MY Flock is made up of : Stevie/Shannon (the tag team), Victoria (valet/wrestler) and RAVEN~!! (mouthpiece). There, everything is solved, everyone's happy......right? EDIT: What's so wrong with 3 Count?! Aside from having GREAT songs (They shoulda released a CD!!!!!), Shane and Shannon are great cruiserweights. I would speak for Evan, but I haven't seen his in-ring work. Their 3 Count song, much like "Always" and "All The Things She Said" (Victoria's theme), repeated the same lyrics OVER AND OVER sooooo much, that it got stuck in your head, bah gawd!

Looooove the idea! But I got a better one..... Hurricane Helms returns, but not as the Hurricane! But he can keep the green! Ya follow so far? Okay, good.... They take the green from Hurricane's outfit and create....THE GREEN CIRCLES~! Ya see where I'm going with this? Matt Hardy v1........Shannon Moore........Shane Helms..... THE NEW 3 COUNT, BABY!!! I know my gal pal would so totally MARK out if Shannon came out and started singing. I know I would too....... Even Shane pointed out in one of his diarys... (see? It's NOT bad to keep a diary....'specially when it's on a website!) ...that fans still bring up 3 Count after all 'dis time. He was telling this to the "man of 1000 abs", Evan.

I'm bored as hell, sooooooooo, I figured I'd post a topic that has been sorta-kinda on my mind. Why does everyone care if D'Lo gets TV time? I read columns and usually see comments like "well, at least it gets D'Lo on TV" or something close to it. I started watching WWF/E last December, but I have rented a ton of old PPVs, and I own "Summerslam '98". D'Lo is quite boring to me, both in the ring and out. Plus, he looks really out of shape in comparison to *coughhottiescough* like Stevie and X-Pac. The only time D'Lo was ever partially entertaining was when he was a commentator with Coach on Heat. Road Dogg's parody of D'Lo showed character that D'Lo only WISHED he had.
-
I think I'm the only one that "doesn't know". Mainly because I didn't watch back then, so I'll ask.....why?
-
Not sure if I would get the trips/rock feud, but I know I'd DEFINETLY get the Chris's feud. I'd tape the love triangle, the trips/foley feud....Radicals arrived in '00?? EDDDDIIIIIIEEEE! Yup, I'd tape that. *sigh* It so would've reeked of awesomeness to start watching back then....
-
2000? Let's see...... E&C, DX (X-Pac, Road Dogg, Tori), RTC, Kurty and all his funny moments......Not to mention WCW with 3 Count, Cruiserweights, etc. Yeah, I could only imagine what my tape collection would be like NOW if I started THEN. It was a good match....but that's just me. Good, but certainly no MOTYC....
-
HUH??? Ever since his return with the nWo, that's basically all he did!! He got thrown around by rock, SC, Big Show, Bradshaw, D'Lo.....none of which, I'm sure, helped his neck.
-
Why would I tape just matches?? I tape anything that has any of the Superstars I like (backstage segments, interviews, etc). Add to that is anything that catches my interest from Velocity, Confidential, and/or Heat. Almost every Heat has had SOMETHING good on it....mainly because of Raven or Hurricane (on a side note....Stevie and Hurricane could have a great feud, I think. Their two matches, both of which I got on tape, were very good) Also, tapes 1-5 were all double-taped....I would tape the show on another tape, then tape it onto my Greatest Moments tape. AND, the tapes are all in EP mode, which automatically means 6hrs. With double-taping, that compresses the footage down even MORE,soooo,I can fit more on the tape. Confusing? Well, it makes sense if you do this every WWE-day.
-
If they're uncut, I'm guessing most will about 15-20 mins, give or take....add commercials to the show........yeah, that should fit in the two hours nicely.
-
That's not the only reason I like Stevie or Seanny (X-Pac). X-Pac is a good wrestler from what I've seen. Plus, he can get a crowd going.....I'm not talking about now, where the crowd chants "X-Pac sucks" out of habit. I remember he had a match against D'Lo on a PPV....the crowd was chanting D'LO SUCKS!! I was pleasantly surprised to see Seanny NOT getting booed.... As for Stevie? Besides looking hot, I genuinely do like his character. I listed my reasons for being a Stevie mark in another thread...it was titled something like "Say something positive about these guys"....you know which one I mean?
-
Considering I was "getting on your nerves" earlier in the day, I'm thankful for the compliment. As for being dedicated? Well.... I'm not just dedicated, I obsess over it. I do that with everything I like....everything from Tim Curry to Kevin J. O'Connor.....
-
If I'm able to, I just record while the show goes on (which can often lead to some problems...but they are minor). I also have two VCRs, so I can edit my tapes...which I have started to do. Let's see....in total I have 11 tapes starting at the Rumble ("Greatest Moments"), 3 PPV tapes (I rent old PPVs and get what I want from them) and a "Documents" tape.....On the Documents tape, I tape all the music videos on the PPVs, Anthology cuts, the "Never Gonna Stop" music vid from Smackdown: SYM.....stuff like that.
