1. Final Fantasy X-2 - I totally agree with Sakura that this is the Game of the Year. The opening cinema totally blew me away [from the first time I saw the Koda Kumi version of the FMV, I was hooked.] Okay, it can be a bit silly at times, but there's nothing wrong with sillyness, now is there? Plus, I simply LOVE the open-ended aspect of it. Different endings, different ways to the play the game...not to mention the job systems. One person can have their Rikku be a total badass Black Mage, while another can have Rikku excel as the gunner. The combinations are totally mind-boggling. And, of course, the replay value. Not just for the endings, but for all the different Garment Grinds, the job classes, etc etc. Through all this fun, you have top-class voice acting to add emotion and depth to the computerized characters. There may be problems in the game, to be sure [some of the acting is cheesy, like the two chicks you need to steal the outfits from, but thankfully, all the main charas, 'cept for maybe LeBlanc, are beautifully voiced]. 2. Prince of Persia - I haven't played the final game yet, but thanks to the wonderfully extensive demo in OPM, I've gotten a pretty good game of how wonderful it is. Hell, I mastered the demo, it's just that awesome. ....Those are the only games that come to mind. I've played Disagae [sp?], but it seems to be rental only. I also have a rental of Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, or whatever the PS2 game is. Is it worth playing?

....Why not? It's not like it's a brilliant show or anything. It has about as much intelligence put into it as this Hilton reality-show bullshit.

Don't diss MXC. ....................................Okay, I admit, some of the jokes were funny. Erm, not that I was watching or anything. There's three faveorite phrases of my friend's, though: "I ain't noone's bitch!", "Eat at the Y!", and "Date me hard!" The last two are kinda funny... *pause* Wait, I'm supporting MXC. Okay, enough of that.
-
Ugh...I think the whole show is just fuckin' disgusting and annoying. It's..so...so...FAKE! Really, it's not even funny, at all. Unfortunately, because the computer is in the living room, I was more or less forced to watch it cuz my friend did. Again, I say, 'ugh!' I didn't even laugh once during the whole show, and I sure as hell ain't laughing during the second episode. Of course, my friend, who likes lame shows like 'MXC' thinks this show is just hilarious.

From: http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/12/01/...0127356242.html ----- I am actually amused. I'd love to see what this person is like in real life; he must be a trip. Seriously, though, he just sounds like he's whining because nothing is aimed towards him, specifically.

Columnist says Fab Five are "useless."
Yuna_Firerose replied to Yuna_Firerose's topic in Television & Film
Just because I like something, doesn't mean I'll not read negative reviews of it. In fact, when looking up a movie I like on RottenTomatoes, I usually read the negative reviews first. Why? Because I like to read other people's opinions, whether they agree or disagree with my own. I didn't say it was totally negative....I just don't think he has a lot of facts to back up his opinions. True, Jai, the Culture Vulture, hasn't given as much advice in comparison to the rest of the Fab 5, so I can sorta see his point in that paragraph. This just seems dumb to point out. The Fab 5 are gay, the straight guy is, well duh, straight. Where's the 'obsessive classifying' this guy points out? I just don't see it. -
Snaps for AndrewTS! *snaps, snaps* Seriously, that is the best paragraph I've read in this whole discussion, and I wholeheartedly agree with it. EDIT: Those male dolls are the funniest things I've seen.

You haven't touched the black mage outfit yet? Odd. In my game, I have Rikku as the black mage almost all the time. Hell, I find her more useful as that than a thief. Plus, I think her black mage outfit just looks damn cool. Paine's b.m. outfit is pretty cool too, and I haven't even looked at Yuna's yet. Before I got X, I read all these reviews saying she was awful and everything, but I didn't really notice it. Maybe I'm just weird like that

Firstly, I have never liked 'Gundam Wing', and I only know about the series due to my obsessed "friend" who I sit by in Holocaust class. Secondly, I would never want to own one of these whore dolls. I think they're a waste of money.
-
...I don't. I think they're a fuckin' waste of money.

One thing I like is the realistic touches, like, for instance, what happened to Zanarkand. Plus, I like the open-ended aspect [where if you choose this, this'll happen, or whatever].
-
What was everyone's thoughts on the show, or those that watched it, anyway? I, of course, squealed like the fangirl I am at the appearance of the Fab 5. And...Alan Cumming appeared!! AC was a total shocker to me, as I never even knew he was going to be there.

Glad I'm not the only one ^.^

Yeah, precisely. Like, files you can open up in DivX. Iwent to those sites but it was so confusing..
-
Do you mean the opening pop song, or the sequences which followed? To me, the FMV was really awesome. The fact that it was just LeBlanc really pisses me off [i thought it was supposed to be Lenne...]. I totally agree. The voice actress really shined during that segment. She's more energized, and seems to be genuinely having fun. I understand the Lulu/Auron comparison, but Kimahri?

I'm kinda surprised that you don't already have X2. If you don't already have X-Men 1.5, then I'd recommend that you get the box set instead. It's only $30, which is a pretty good deal. I was going to get it when it came out, then the family said they'd buy it for me [instead of Final Fantasy X-2] since FFX2 was so expensive. So...now I gotta wait. *sigh*

ugh.. no offense but.... Y the hot chick!?! why!? I saw that movie on starz the other day when I had nothing else to do and despite an occasional funny moment, its the corniest piece of crap I have ever seen next to legally blonde 2... I, for one, just like it. *shrug* I'm not a fan of Rob, nor toilet humor, but this movie is just awesome. I like the sub-plot where the friend was starting to fall in love with her best friend, who was now in a man's body. I was actually rooting for them to get together. Plus, for once, Rob was kinda hot in a movie. Yes, I'm insane.

The main thing I have trouble with is that Yuna stops shooting. Reloading, perhaps? Whatever. Anyway, it's quite annoying when she does that, especially when I'm like, surrounded.

Danke They make me wonder if you stalk these celebrities whilst they sleep. She doesn't have time, for you see she's too busy having sex with me to prove to other board members that I don't have a problem with her. hehe Not all of them are slashy, ya know.
-
I think your dress-spheres are carried over..........which is odd, considering the first mission is getting the 'Black Mage' sphere. I'm confused about that, but I'm sure I'll find out when I get the game. Totally! Personally, I thought the Luca side-quest where Yuna was dressed as a moogle was pretty amusing. I know it's breaking some Final Fantasy law by being silly, but whatever.
-
Danke They make me wonder if you stalk these celebrities whilst they sleep. Nein, nein. Though, I wish I could.
-
I never thought this game would affect my emotions so much, but it did. After seeing both scenarios, I decided to give the sphere the chicks stole in chapter one to the Youth League [my reasoning: they fought so much to break away from Yevon, so...why support the New Yevon? Then again, I'm sure that's a crucial decision point]. Then, on a whim, I go to Besaid. This...Youth League dude TOTALLY pisses me off!! Something about getting 500 points in that gun minigame. Gah, it's impossible not to get hit, thus, impossible to get 500 points. I practically threw my controller against the wall after I failed. Finally I said 'fuck it' [yes, I actually said it out loud, which is a rarity for me] and went onto a different mission. 'Course, I had spent so much time on the damn impossible mini-game that I had to take it back in less than a half-hour.
