Brock Lesnar causing havoc in scrimmage

^ as far as entertainment value, it would be great to see what sort of stunts Brock would pull.

Brock Lesnar causing havoc in scrimmage

From the Torch article quotes, it sounds like some of the Vikings might actually like him for this, http://www.pwtorch.com/artman/publish/article_9392.shtml
  3. I second what Vyce said. They'll usually even have the following week's shipping list too. It's usually very comprehensive, even covering like posters and other related stuff from DC and Marvel.
  4. I'm dissapointed this didn't get the SIREN OF DOOM, but still looks like we might have an interesting story on our hands. Ready... set... SPIN! (actually reading that alert closer, my title might be somewhat misleading, not so much "leaking" the info in a secret manner, more just, like, saying it during an interview).

    D.C. to blow up

Can we go back from "very afraid" to just "afraid" yet, or are we still in "very afraid" mode????

Bill Clinton set to join SNL?

an ENTIRE SEASON!? Holy shikaka, I would become a regualr viewer (... ok for the first 2 or 3 months then i'd probably get bored, but still). Never happen though. However, Slick Willie should at least do one guest host appearance, and make some jokes at his own expense, the usual bit. It's good PR and all that.

    D.C. to blow up

More on the SIREN ON DOOM report (even though the siren no longer exists) from politics' harry knowles, Matt Drudge: Much of the information that led authorities to raise the terror alert at several large financial institutions in the NY and D.C. areas was 3 or 4 years old... NYT Tuesday Page One Splash To Claim: Intelligence and law enforcement officials 'had not yet found concrete evidence that a terror plot or preparatory surveillance operations were still under way'... WASH POST Page One: Alerts Stemmed from Pre-9/11 Acts /// 'There is nothing right now that we're hearing that is new,' said one senior law enforcement official who was briefed on the alert. 'Why did we go to this level?... I still don't know that'... POST: 'Most of the information was compiled prior to the Sept. 11 attacks and that there are serious doubts about the age of other, undated files'...

This looks like fun. Matt Parker and Trey Stone are parody/satire gods. I can't wait!

    Official Star Trek thread

The end of DS9 was pretty much the end of quality Trek. The rest is just the same formulaic nonsense.

    The Village

I actually thought it was kind of interesting. I give it props for being somewhat different. Oh and that "horrible" speil with that girl about love being a difficult thing da-da-da was one of the best parts, when you look at Phoenix's reaction, and the cut to her crying, it's obvious that scene was actually supposed to be over the top and funny (unlike a lot of others) I actually thought it was very good up until Lucious got stabbed, at that point it got all kinds of weird. And I like the ending, it had kind of a surreal quality to it. I like it when things go in a weird unconventional direction However I want Night to direct a movie that he hasn't written. I still like most of his movies though, 6th sense and Signs are both very good films, Signs especially in its story about faith. and Unbreakable is one of the most underrated films there is in recent years (Night's BEST film). Can't quite bring myself to declare this a HIT with me though, it was kind of in the middle. I kinda admired it for doing something I'm sure night knew would piss off people. Still he's 3 for 4, so I'm still looking forward to his next Twilight Zone movie ( please UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! UNBREAKABLE 2! please! No? Fuck.)

    New Pic of Batman

Holy crap, Batman can actually...... LOOK TO THE LEFT AND THE RIGHT! And he can actually, like... move like a human being. And squat/shit in the bushes in that costume. Overall it looks great, but the cowl looks kinda funky and puffy around the side of the head and ears, at least in the front-view.

    Mozilla

IE has a security vulnerability that allows spyware programs (moreso than usual) to automatically download and install on your computer. They are stored on websites, and will automatically start installing, right there in front of your face. One of them is some Lycos program, and there's two or more others. Somehow they (or bits of them) are stored on some common servers, and if in your web browsing you come across em, bang. Do a search, you'll find many people (including me) have gotten this lsatest rash. I had to run lotsa ad-aware and spybot scans to get rid of them. This doesn't happen with mozilla or opera or whatever. It's not a question of IF, it's WHEN. Feel free to wait till you browse across the "right" website though before switching. Oh, and The Department of Homeland Security recently issued a recommendation that people stop using Internet Explorer because of security vulnerabilities. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...tc_cmp/22103407

    Sandman...

I finished it a few weeks ago, and it's the absolute best comic series I ever read. Fantastic, and replaced Watchmen as my #1.

    The Convention

Gore's speech was not too bad. By now everybody knows their (own) opinions on policy issues, so I wont bother praising or criticizing that aspect... his delivery was pretty good. A little stiff when he started talking about Kerry but it warmed up. The 'reaching out question' was well done. the kiss re-do was kind of a smart-ass joke, but it made me laugh so i guess it worked. Not too bad. I'll probably tune out during Carter's speech though... since I dont find him entertaining or interesting to listen to, at all. Another thing is, is Fox News planning on actually covering this? I like to switch around from CNN to msnbc to cspan and fox, and everybody's showing the speeches in their entirety... FOX is showing Oreilly talking about theresa kerry. during this carter speech, instead hannity and dean are trading barbs. what the hell?

Bastard Windows keeps saving JPGs as BMPs.

You should set a smaller cache size for temporary internet files in the Preferences, and set it to automatically clean thsoe files out. Of course, the better option is just to ditch IE completely and try out Mozilla or something. :nods:
