i think we're coming up on the big ones... My hopes slash prediction: Actor - Bill Murray Screenplay (original) - Sophia Coppolla Director - Sophia (though I will be happy with PJ) Picture - ROTK (can you tell LOTR and LiT are my fave films of this crowd? )

actually the editing is one of the ones I might not have handed to ROTK. as someone who edits myself, i had a few little probs with it. But the Gondor theme from rotk ruled... Good on you Shore! GO ROTK!!!!

LOTR will get one of the big two (Picture/Director). Count on it. I just dont know which one. Actually i'm leaning towards director.

there's no way anything other than LOTR should have gotten that SFX award. even if LoTR were to get NOTHING else at all, that's the one it should have got/deserved guaranteed. It's effects were simply the best. Gollum alone was enough to hand them the award (again).

Hollywood Reporter is reporting that japenese actor Ken Watanabe is cast as Ra's Al-Ghul http://www.comingsoon.net/news.php?id=3615 reading that cast list... this is like, the greatest cast for a superhero movie EVER. It's that damn good! Only a complete moron could screw up the marketing of this film (um, Jon Peters ins't involved in any of that, is he????). A trailer for a realistic gritty BATMAN movie, with the names MORGAN FREEMAN, LIAM NEESON and Katie Holmes flashing across the screen... who could resist?

^ i think the idea is to start anew sort of. As if it was a new pilot or springboard. The fact that series only ran for a small amount (what, 12 episodes) is actually a benefit (as opposed to a full season or two or three seasons), since not all that much happened in any real overarching plot sense. Re-introduce the characters and the situations, as if it was simply a new standalone movie. At least I hope so, that's the ONLY way to make something like this work.
