Sure this match may not be the best idea... But for that extra 40 minutes of airtime, it will be one less of the usual blah-ness of the WWE. It's something NEW (ok not really new since there's been 2 iron man matches before), but for Smackdown, its new. Maybe it'll backfire, but frankly, its worth the risk, with two generally good workers. It's something generally new and interesting and has ensured that I will set the timer for this show (since i have class on thursday night and do not bother usually). "A one hour iron man match!? ON FREE TV!?"

NONE of this (with the *possible exception* of the first two, Goldberg getting the title and HBK/Orton at Unforgiven, but I only say that because I knew those two already so I dont remember if I read that online first or in the WON), was in the wrestling observer newsletter. Its possible I missed it somewhere, so if you know where it was, let me knwo and I can check it, but I read all the WWE sections (since its the only part that interests me), and i heard nothing of this stuff. I'm referring to the one dated August 25th 2003. I dont think any has come after that yet. Unless its from the new one (doesnt it usually come Monday)??? edit looknig at the dates, I guess it is indeed possible that someone got the new one (to be dated September 1, 2003) a little early. In which case, my post means exactly dick!!!

Just some points: 1) If Nash plays a frikken bodyguard, then he's nothing in the grand scheme of things. The movie will either rule, be ok, or suck, but it wont have anything to do with Kevin Nash. Nothing at all. 2) I've heard Thomas Jane is actually a good actor. I wouldn't know. But I've heard people complimenting the casting because of that...? 3) The movie's budget is like 30-40 million, so it'll be much easier for it to be a hit and make a profit than say... Hulk. 4) Supposedly they've taken heavy elements from Garth Ennis' recent run on Punisher, which I haven't read.

Unthinkable was pretty damn good. However I liked the two epilogue issues (501 and 502) more, despite 502 being slightly hokey. It had some really great character work, just beautiful. Put together, all of them are pretty great. I especially like how the stories in Waid's run have ramped up. I mean the first issue was kinda fluff, then there was the equation-monster-villian, and the story about Johnny in corporate, and with each story it seems to deepen and ramp up in seriousness... i love it!

My take on it is... HBK has been in some incredible matches and has carried people to some great matches. No I dont think he's the greatest of all time or anything, but I think he's pretty high up. He was also an unprofessional prick asshole. Now, if the Hall of Fame entry rules guidelines whatever take into account what kind of person HBK is... then there's debate. maybe he shouldn't be in. If not, then HBK should be in. Easily.

I went to the 2nd half of a smackdown taping (free tickets, I wouldn't pay for WWE events anymore blah) with casual fans who used to watch some during the glory period in 98-00. They were bored. "Who are all these no-names???" oh and they popped huge for Undertaker (but were also amused by Eddie and Cena's antics).

My credit card online thing says I have almost 80.00 of charges that are authorized but not yet posted..... I already cancelled psychics4free and freebidding, but it looks like they are the ones that these authorized charges are from... what gives? I emailed them both and even forwarded my cancellation confirmations asking to confirm that I won't get charged (other than the 1.00 apiece paycom charges). Will these charges get posted to my account??? It seems like they will eventually, that's what authorized but not charged means. This is really upsetting to me as I wont be able to afford 80 bucks worth of charges for something like this, especially with the new semester starting soon. Anybody else have this problem?

Well I wrote and submitted a script about Jon Allerdyce (Pyro) to Epic, and I've been working on an original idea of my own, have the script for issue 1 more or less done, and the rest of the run plotted out, just tinkering with it (am gonna try Dark Horse first, then maybe some others... however, there's no way I'm sending this one to Epic)

Definetly sounds interesting. I do love Waid's run on FF and am sad to see it end, so I'll defnietly check it out, even though I'm not a huge fan of Mark Millar Ultimate Spidey kicks ass, and honestly is the only Ultimate book I really care about. And Mark Bagley has been my favorite Spider artist for a long time, ever since his legendary run on Amazing Spider-Man, through the good and the crap of the era. LOL at that last one... that should definetly be fun. Bring it on!

WWE can be so stupid at times... so they really wanted the HBK/Orton match to put Orton over... so put Kane and RVD in the title match and let HBK/Orton have their singles match. The Kane thing has been dominating the fuckin shows anyways. As for Jericho winning, schyywaah right. I'll believe it when it actually happens and not a second sooner (though I'd be glad it did). Frankly if HHH is injured, they should have Goldberg squash him in 2 minutes with a spear/jackhammer. but whatever.
