I agree with this post. Also, not to forget, Billups also has a bit of an alpha personality and has a big ego (not really complaining about it but its a fact). I can tell he relishes the idea of being the 'leader' so to speak. I mean i dont expect him to start a lot of trouble or anything, but he's also just not going to quietly defer if Kobe starts barking at him for taking a 'bad 3' (a Billups speciality). this is one of thsoe trades where my intial reaction as a pistons fan was excitement until I actually thought about it. And the other suggestion of putting Sheed in the trade is a horrible idea. As much as i like guys like Maxiell and Amir johnson... No Sheed = Getting anally raped by KG over and over again in the playoffs. To say nothing of Tim Duncan if they miraciously made the Finals.

I think this episode works better as a fill in the blanks episode rather than a premiere, but they waited too long. it should have been like.. the 4th episode.

Ladies and gentlemen... I give you........ Spock:

I actually just finished the book, haven't seen the movie yet. The book was excellent, and from reading everybody's comments its seems like a faithful translation, the "twists" are pretty much note for note from the book. In regards to the above post, Gone Baby Gone is actually one in a series of novels about the two PIs, Patrick and Angie, so that's the real reason why Monoghan's character is there. Would NOT have pegged Casey Affleck as patrick though. Ed Harris seems like a good fit as Bruossard.

As far as i'm concerned, the concept of 'running up the score' doesn't even exist until the last 6 minutes. Before those last 6 minutes, I am in support of ANY team building up their lead as much as possible. 3rd quarter, early 4th, build that lead, build it up.

so apparently Yi is pretty good

The Wizards suck! that team might want to learn to play a little defense.

The MIchael in the woods storyline was weak and had little point. I wanted more of Jim becoming Michael. The credits part was the best part.

Great promo, but maaaannnn, it also reminds me of how botched the Stone Cold heel turn was. Done right, it coulda been amazing, like hogan's nwo turn.

they seperated two fused spines? goddamn, that's hardcore. -
I don't know TOO much about the topic, but I think the accusation has its roots in the fact that he isn't as solidly pro-Israel in the Israeli/Palestinian issue as every other politician is (or acts at least). For instance right wingers seemed to kick up a storm b/c of this quote or that quote from his recent book on the issue.

I like Acie Law, he's very sharp. I was hoping he'd fall to the pistons on draft day. obviously not the case.

i'm not exaclty crying for atlanta considering how they tied the game. Sheed jumped straight up and down while Smith leaped forward into him. reggie miller esque, then again it always pissed me off when he used to do that too. Only when I was rooting against his team

37 points. Now that's a bitchslapping.

I'd like this one to be a standalone movie, maybe followed by a proper "conspiracy" movie, but one not too tied to the series end. Maybe like 5 years later, with Mulder and Scully "out" of the FBI, and the invasion starts (they can leave out how they left the FBI ie - the end of the series, intentionally vague to avoid confusing the shit out of everybody)

btw they should call it ECHO instead of DOLLHOUSE. -
Fun episode but I thought Dwight was a little over the top in his wanting to use real bombs and take out people's eyes. The burn Utica to the ground thing was funny.

New Joss Whedon Show Starring Eliza Dusku
bobobrazil1984 replied to BlackFlagg's topic in Television & Film
I dunno, i think it can survive. The "base premise" sounds like the sort of thing the Networks really like pushing (Bionic Woman, Dark Angel, Journeyman, etc etc). You gotta remember, a show like Firefly, which was great, is sort of cult-ish to begin with, virtually any space based TV show has that bias to overcome. Not to mention FOX just not getting the show (anyone remember the "Smash Mouth" music commercial? them refusing to air the pilot until the end?). It really depends on how much faith one has in Joss. I think he can produce something significantly better than say Tru Calling or Bionic Woman. -

Sounds cool. I find it interesting Dushku pushed him to do it - Tru Calling didn't do it for her, eh? Cool concept, but really it matters more how they build around it. If its Alias part 2, it would suck. looking for some sort of arc. -
I agree. For years I heard the hype... finally I went out of my way to get Papa Johns.... and... well it was ordinary pizza. I mean it was good in the sense that all decent ordinary pizza is good... but nothing special whatsoever. And I had a lot of toppings too.
